Obi Wan Cannabinoid Presents - Jock vs Jack - A T5 - Hempy Grow Journal

Quick pic update.

Jock Horror Trichomes on 04/28/2016. They are 100% clear. The shades of amber are either reflections from a brown pistle, light refraction or digital camera artifacts.

Group shot on 05/03/2016.

A few closeups of Jock Horror on 05/04/2016.

She still smells of citrus.

Cheers,

Yeah. The Trichome pics aren't that great. No cloudy heads yet. I'm thinking Jock might be ready as soon as June 1. She's putting on a decent amount of weight every week now. I need to stop picking at her, lol.

Jack will most likely finish around July 1 I'm guessing.

I'm going to feed tonight. It's 24 hours over due again. This will be Jock Horror's last feeding of her life. She will get a flush or two in the coming weeks then chop. I haven't seen much change in her over the last few days. Its time to let her ripen up and let the THC glands mature a bit more.

The smell from the cab is beginning to overpower my carbon filter a little. With the doors open the awesome fragrance fills the area. I love it. The wife isn't too fond of it.

Nirvana's Jock Horror still smells phenomenal. Base notes of spicy Cannabis mixed with a strong grapefruit citrus scent. I'm eager to cure and vape this one.

I'm trying to find a strain that helps relieve anxiety while not inducing couchlock. Jock, at this early stage, already produces a nice 4+ hour effect for me. It's a fairly balanced effect with a little more body effect than I would expect at this early point in her bud maturity. Knowing this I will probably chop her just a bit early (compared to the breeder suggested 8 weeks) to try and preserve the THCA ratio.

BC Bud's Jack Herer is still cruising along. This Jack still smells like rotisserie chicken to me. Skunky and spicy. Not much citrus or sweet in her. Her bud development looks more Sativa like to me. Balls on a stick rather than the larger Indica nugs I've grown.

A sample of Jack right now produces a 2+ hour headband buzz that tingles above the ears. The effect doesn't quite drop down to chest level yet. This tells me she's still immature. She will most likely get another feeding or two before flush.

One additional thing I've noticed about this Jack plant is her sugar leaves are thicker and more waxy feeling than any other plant I've grown. I'm not sure if it's good or bad. Simply an observation.

I'll try to check in later tonight.

Hey Tead. With my mix I've been able to feed once per week. Sometimes twice. I've been averaging a four to five day cycle.

Day 49 of flower (7 weeks).

Jock is finishing up. I scoped a couple amber trichomes mixed in with the cloudy and clear. One last drink of water for Jock and then its time to chop. I might try a partial harvest and only take the largest flowers leaving the smaller lower popcorn to mature a little longer along side Jack Herer.

Both plants continue to self defoliate. You can see right through each plant now. Below is a picture from yesterday when I snipped a little side bud to vape.

Lighting is now 0/24. Dark. Jock horror is ready. I damaged Jack Herer's root system letting it get too dry. I'm going to harvest both so I can get my next grow started. I need the next batch to finish up before Thanksgiving.

Due to the holoday weekend I might have to chop as early as tonight and begin the drying process.

The Boveda's are here. I'm ready. I just need the time :)

I chopped both plants 3 nights ago. This time I'm trying the "whole plant" drying method. I cut them off at their base and hung them whole, upside down.

The cabinet lights are off. Temp ranges from 66F to 71F. RH range is 55% to 61%.

The plants have completed about 40% of their drying stage. We still have a few days to go before jarring.

Getting excited for the next grow. It should be much better.
