Nutty & His Antics

Ahoy Professor Nutty,
I was just photosynthisizing a petition, actually this here petition. That is soing we know too you I am inviting. A genuine arousal of need has me asking professors nutty or fruity to borrow up some extra smart power. With your help, truly improbable odds may be more photogeniced.

Thanks mate ,I hope its just one of them things that is easy to fix,
Any way on a brighter note , i had to do a final move, i moved the autos i stunted for seeds to a tent of their own as i can not treat them , they are pregnant :woohoo::party: once they tighten up i can treat but at least they wont spread to the rest now ( this was the problem all along )

was good timing as i cant update now as much , hope you can make the little seed pods out , ive counted about 15 seeds so far , but there will be more , nice bit of saving from a stunted auto .

I love this , its like close up to nature as possible

The price I'm paying for seeds i definitely must give this a go some day im keeping one bean of each auto i run so maybe just do a full on seed run for future investments. That will have to wait until I have enough medicine to get me through.

you can even use one and let her pollinate herself :) :Rasta:

I have been spraying a CBD auto now for 12 days, mostly twice a day because it seemed to be taking it fine. The trouble is my eyesight these days is pretty blurry up close, so I can't tell so far if anything is happening or not. I will take some closeup pics in another week, as I gather that by 3 weeks if it's working then I should hopefully be able to spot some pollen balls developing, or not, as the case may be. If it works then hopefully the plant will live long enough to produce some viable selfed seeds. Last week I germinated my one remaining seed auto CBD seed, so if the plant that I'm currently spraying produces pollen then I will use it to pollinate her sister too, and that way with a bit of luck I can gain a bunch more seeds to provide for future grows. If the auto produces pollen balls but doesn't live long enough to produce selfed seeds then at least I get a second chance to use it on her sister.

This is the first time I have tried to reverse a female with CS. If it works on the auto I'll try it on one of my photos when they start flowering next month. I'll be rapt if it's successful.

@Stunger My donor auto for pollen didn't live long enough BUT i had to put her in a colder room , ive had them self seed before , if you get them early enough its very possible . :)
I did wonder that, given that autos can flower and finish so quickly, I wondered if they would still have time to self pollinate and produce seeds. But, I have catered for that eventuality but sprouting my one remaining seed. I could have saved it for next year, but if I do get success in making some pollen now but not in gaining selfed seeds then at least I should be able to get them on the sister plant.

When I started spraying her 12 days ago she had only few buds but now she has thickened up a lot. But I have no idea whether she'll be a quick or long finisher, whether she can make seeds too and well as pollen or not.

I have another question to ask you, 17 days ago I topped a photo girl after I let her grow out a bit so I could attempt to grow the cutting as a clone. I have kept her in a jar of water with a bit of sugar that I change every few days. I gather this can take 3 weeks or more. Almost a week ago I made some additional scrapings on the cut stalk, and I cut off the growth of the small node that was above the cut and I also scrapped that area too, and have submerged that area under the water too.

What I have noticed is that when I lift the cutting from the jar of water to change the water, that the area of the stalk that I scrapped has a watery 'gloop' that tends to stay around that part of the stalk when lifted out, I am guessing that the cutting has released something is response to the scrapping damage to it, I am hoping that gloopy stuff may be the precursor to roots appearing. Tomorrow I will change the water and along with a little sugar I will include a drop of kelp extract too. Have you observed this sort of 'gloop' when trying to grow a cutting in water? Do you think I should wash the 'gloop' off on changing the water or leave in on, in case the 'gloop' is setting up the growth of roots?

hmmmm hard to tell , could be a little rot starting , the roots will start with little bumps appearing , if you can throw an air stone in with it , i bet it roots in days , i would also foliar feed the leaves with a very very weak mix of seaweed and water , they love high humidity
i see some really small white bumps on your stalk so it might root soon , i will get a pic of a very easy way to root a clone :) , give me an hour as i went for my walk and im aching , ill show you an easy little cheap way of getting clones to root

I recently grew out some cuttings of a non cannabis flowering plant (a New Guinea Impatins), which in the same glass of water, quarter teaspoon sugar, and humidity dome, they did nothing for 3 weeks and then all of a sudden grew long roots. The air stone sounds good but at the moment that's all I have, and if it's 50/50 then so be it, because even then the effort is worth it, it is no loss. But at this point if you were changing the water would you leave the 'gloop' or rinse it off by holding it under a tap before replacing it in the fresh water? I am inclined to gently rinse it off.

the gloop looks ok , just watch it don't spread up the stem and rot ,

any ways here's a brilliant way , takes week to ten days ,
temp 68f about, rooting gel , some seaweed in the water , a little seaweed that is for new tender roots
just leave away from bright lights . spray often , don't fill bucket so the humidity will be higher surrounding the cuttings a fan blowing on them helps too :thumb:
i had no clones so used a pepper plant , lol you get the drift though

Hey Nutty, sorry to hear about pain and lump! I know you probably have decades of experience on me but I’m curious if you’ve ever perused this thread below? Tacking is where I am headed with rso but for now I‘m between harvests and don’t have enough green on hand but tacking sounds promising.

Here’s link Tacking

The missus is a good reader , i can read but i cant take in the info, i used to be a chef after i was a skipper on a boat and i knew things were a miss when i couldn't keep up with the order slips , i used to wok single handed and could cope but i got to the stage i fucked every order up so left the job for good , just couldn't do it any more was burning things and forgetting things
