Novice Grower Needing Help - Please

No? I've seen so many humidity domes/etc. The thing is - I don't think it was rooted. It just fell over one day and when I picked it up, there didn't seem to be a root. I could be mistaken.... That's why I decided to go with the "dome". No clue. :D

The first thing a seed does is put a tap root down into the soil. If there was no root, there would be no plant.
Humidity domes are placed over cuttings (no roots) since they have limited ability to take up moisture from the soil, or even a water reservoir.

These are pics of my room. It's fairly small. I did have the lights lowered more, and the humidifier going. The air was nice and cool, and I did the "back hand" check to see if it felt warm, which it did not. I recently transplanted them into bigger pots, due to me not putting a lot of soil into the small pots I used for them to sprout out of. I was just worried they didn't have enough soil, which is why I moved them into big pots. I watered them, and I think I may have watered them too much, because the next day they were drooping a bit. Later on in the day, they were all looking happy again. I've noticed spots on my leaves, and decided to move the lights further away. The spots looked white, but after moving the lights they looked more of a yellowish. I try to keep the humidity at 60-70%, and temperature is usually always around 23-26. Thank you in advance! ^_^ I dont want my babies to die... My first grow died at seedling stage. These have gotten farther! :)
I've only added a stick to the soil, that dissolves over time. Been using tap water to water them. The last time I did, I raised the pH of it to 6, before watering my plants. Anything else that I left out? I hope I answered all questions. :D

Just sit back and have a beer. They look fine to me. I would use distilled water at first and then tap water will be fine.

Yeah, you're right. My eyes are playing tricks on me!! lol I could have swore.. Regardless, very informative and helpful, as always. Much appreciated. :nomo: Time to drink some coffee and wake my babies up. ^_^

Awesome! They've actually progressed a lot further, if you check the thread. Glad to hear it though... *deep breath* For my future grows, I'll definitely get the seeds going with distilled water. Have heard many positive things. :high-five:

It seems like the new leaves that are coming in, are also getting burned at the tips. Let me take pictures, one sec.

They look decent under the light, but when I move them out of it - they're super pale. See how the tips are getting burned on the new leaves? No clue what's going on.

Even without pics, seems like a nutrient burn to me. Yellowing tips - first sign.

I think this stick you've put in soil may be the culprit. I know you took it out but perhaps there's still residue left...

Edit: But this is only my guess. Perhaps some of the more experienced members can pinpoint exactly what the problem is.

I don't speak from personal experience because, as luck would have it, I never had any problems with my grows so far.

Now I've jinxed it :)

*Knock on wood* - A quote that we use in USA. Keep yourself from getting jinxed. :)

I'm going to keep it honest, because that's the type of person I am.... I tried to remove the sticks, but failed. They just kept breaking apart. I really need to remove them if that's the case.... I just didn't wanna ruin my plants by digging around in the dirt, since the stick is fairly close to the base of the plant. Not even sure if I'd find it again. :O

If that's the case, I think this stick is pumping up nutes into her, even more now you broke it. And this could be a problem, because flushing it, probably not only won't help but might even make things worse.

I would bite the bullet and transplant. She already has a solid root system, judging by the size and you can do it, just have to be extra careful. Start wide, not to damage the roots, then, once she's out try to remove as much soil as you can from the roots.

Once you see how big the roots are, make an adequate hole in soil (it's probably gonna be large) and carefully transplant her into a new pot.

Then feed her some root stimulant. No nutes for, at least a week.

You'll have to be extra gentle in the process.

My two cents.

If you transplant, use the current pot to measure the hole you need in the new pot. Then knock the plant out and try to find the fert' stick. Hopefully you can remove it without too much digging and damage to the roots.

I'm thinking that the plants may be suffering from poor air circulation. Moved a few things around, so that the A/C unit is blowing the air into the small fan that I'm using to keep the warm air off the tops. Going to keep a close eye on them, like I do every day. :cheesygrinsmiley::cheesygrinsmiley::cheesygrinsmiley:

If I notice any more color changes, I'll be sure to do as you've instructed. Going to namaste it out for another day, I think.. :D

it's ok, the final decisions must be made by you.

all any of us can and have done, is offer suggestions and answers to your questions.

if you choose not to like the answers, so be it.

have fun eh

I like every suggestion, advice, comment, etc. Hope that I'm not giving off a different impression!! :O

That's not the case at all. Mi casa es su casa. As long as everyone is respectful to each other.. That's what's important. Oh, and all the projects that are ongoing. :420::cheer::thumb: :peacetwo::slide::tokin::smokin::grinjoint::rollit::passitleft::laugh: Okay - that'll do it. Enough emoji madness. rofl - Had to do it. Super baked right now and about to go to bed. Made me laugh for some reason. :D Gnight y'all.
