NoobyMacDooby's Grow: Less Nooby More Dooby!

Howzit @NoobyMacDooby just ran through your journal, some seriously impressive plants you've got going there man! :yummy::bravo: You've got some amazing colours coming out there & trich production is top notch. What side of SA are you? I'm from the Western Cape :ganjamon::bongrip:
The genetics coming through SA the last 2 years has been impressive. Do you get your seeds locally or across the waters?

Happy harvesting brother, that Citrus Drop, Bingo Pajamas & Stardawg look so tasty!
Peace

Hey man thanks for having a look. Location wise, I prefer to keep that secret for now until they get the proper laws concerning plant counts etc. going. No way to know if 6 plants of 50 plants are too many. Doesn't sound like much is happening though.

I've gotten one batch of seeds from the states but it came via someone's pants on a plane after the 1st batch got taken by the PO. Then I was very fortunate to meet a guy on here (he doesnt post here anymore) who was kind enough to send me seeds of his own crosses or f2's. Turns out he's pretty good at what he does... the Bingo Pajamas & Stardawg is one of his crosses.

Another mate of mine has had success buying locally from 2 or 3 banks. Only one was a bit dodgy and sent seeds in a bank bag. So no way to know if he bought the actual thing or some bushweed pips.

More Bingo Pajamas & Stardawg. Found a nanner on a lower bud so having to give her a good look over everyday now. Almost on week 7. Both parents are 9 weeks for flower

Understandable - it's a real pitty that our countries laws do not allow us to share our passion for a plant with other locals without worrying.
Well done to him, he bred some amazing crosses by the look of it. :bravo:
There are come great local seed banks around locally and i have successfully received beans from 3 local banks discreetly, but the variety is still growing slowly but surely.

Yeah at least the seeds and growing products will improve quickly now that its legal. My only gripe is the price of some of the seeds. Between the exchange rate and local markup it can bite your wallet. Also pretty kak when 1 or 2 seeds dont germinate... or it shows up in a bankie.
And for the local guy, he's doing proper runs not just 10 pack pollen chucking. He just did a run of 600 plants to find one keeper pheno of his own strain. Hopefully soon we'll have our own big name breeders

600 Plant pheno hunt... insane!
There are a couple South African breeders doing their thing. Helderberg Genetics have some amazing genetics, they had great results breeding with a Male Sour Grape from BOG seeds - i am busy running two of their strains right now and i'm really impressed - iv'e got their Glue X Sour Grape & their Durban Poison X Sour Grape. :meatballs:
Another one that i have heard only good things about and they are doing some great things - is Motherland Genetics. They just released a strain called Cheeba Cheese, which is a cross between Big Buddah Cheese & Exodus Cheese which i am excited to try out! So it may be slow but things are definitely happening. :passitleft:

Looking so healthy Dooby :ganjamon::bravo:
Some lekker frost on that bud shot, is that the stardawg?
