Nobody's COB Perpetual: Various Strains & Some Edible Fun At Times In A Tiny Tent

I
My ph pen has been acting wonky for about a week. I tried to calibrate it last night, no luck, soaked in kcl solution overnight, no luck this morning, so I am off to exchange it, and probably get a couple delicious tacos on the way.

This might be why my RD is pouting.

Sweetness man....that is way cool, have you tried yet?

I bought a HANNA and I can't keep it calibrated. It doesn't want to lock in on a ph. I had much better luck with the strips or the drops, I think I'm going back to that.

This morning I gave the following:
GC-1L/6.5 little mammoth p
RD-500ml/6.5/? mammoth p, seaplex, little Roots HPK, 500 to 1L light nutes in the afternoon.
Veg(only those dry)-1.5l/6.5/280ppm, same as above.

I moved my Can50 recirc filter into the closet, tired of looking at it in the master and I don't smoke inside. With the BBa flowering outside the tent, it will be able to handle anything coming from the tent or the veg area. I only run it when necessary. Since it moves a lot of air I am going to see what temps do with exhaust off and tent open and shut.

I have some deliveries coming, a temp indicator banger, my press, a couple saddles back from the UK, and my torch quicker than expected, so should be up and running tonight. Think I am going to press some AK first, maybe 190 or so....

This press is idiot proof-excellent packing (mini crate made of pressboard), double boxed. Plug and play as it gets, I turned the temp down 10 degrees. I pressed three plants at .8g 210f, 90 sec. All dark green because it is older, I made pucks first in the keif press, most of the collectable matter was a good 7.5mm away from the puck. Prob not as efficient and clean as using bags, but this will do in the meantime.

I tried the ak dabs first in a couple attempts. Both attempts were not hot enough. I was using the temp indicator banger, it's double walled because of the indicator, takes a lot longer to heat up with the mini torch (duh). With the sleeve/cup, my timing was off...no good. Next up was some orange kush reg my friend gave me. Tried without the sleeve/cup just on the collection tool. Timing was off, this does require finesse, but I did get a decent hit. It's like a huge thick vape...mild as hell, and quite tasty....almost like that thai orange candy. Buzz from that hit came on in about 20 seconds and lasted about an hour.

I also pressed some of the auto colorado cookies, ran that one at 2 minutes, it seemed to yield a little less, I am not weighing it though.

More fun tomorrow, I have a 5k in the morning early.

I can recommend the Apera PH20. Retrix likes his and told me to get one so I did. Auto calibrates in seconds and holds it for a long time if stored in pH storage solution.
I just got the Apera pH60 model. Super nice. Bluter has one too. It has a few more bells and whistles added to it than the pH20.

Veg - 350ppm/6.5/1.25L to the plants that needed it, I think I skipped the ptw and the smallest RD clone. The 707 is asking for a topping in the next week or so. The BBa is kicking along, I would like a little more weight showing by now, but the pistols came after 32 or so days.

GC - 1.5L of ph'ed water

RD - I let it dry out overnight intentionally. Started with a half liter of phed water, followed by 400ppm/6.5/1L, basically botanicare bloom and seaplex. Later in the day I gave it a half liter of phed water with mammoth p.

Last night tent shot, was wilted slightly this am. Temps have been higher, and I have been slowing co2 applications because with the lights where I want them, we are getting into mid/low 90s if I close up the tent, I think my el cheapo carbon is toast already, have a can-lite on the way.

Here is mid afternoon today after 1.5l of water.

I have not flamed a joint all day. I enjoy this dabbing, because I can press about .3g of flower, and that lasts me 2/3 hours, basically I take .6g flower, press, vape one side of the parchment, just a little pop, then save the remainder for later, it's much more economical in BPNWPH (buzzpernugweighperhour). The double walled banger takes about 2.5x the time to heat up, and provides a slower hit, this is the one to use with the stuff that tastes good, not that the other is bad, but it's smooth. The round BPx banger is a faster hit.

I went to the local head shop and they had some bags, a little large for my liking in width, but I could cut the long side. Here is a 2:30 press at 200f of the orange kush 3.22g. I could probably press again for a little more. I have not even touched this stuff yet....

I am thinking I need to puck press three grams into 4 x .75g pucks, and place those flat side down in the bag, that would maximize surface area and probably allow a thinner press than one 3.2g chunk in the center. Hmmm.

I tried some OG venom, .7g nug, it smokes well, but it pressed pretty oily for me, very hard to collect almost like water. I did not grow this...lol.

Hi nobody....how are you and the fam?

After our 5k way too early I dropped off the kids to work horses while wife and I ran errands, home to marathon leaf raking.

legs are a touch sore after the race...I have not ran a 5K in 4 or 5 years. I used to race mid-distance quite a bit till I jacked a tendon on an overnight 100K (yay), that ended racing, but I figured I would just go cruise this.....course was too up and down to race it and I was not in shape. A middle schooler posted a low 17 and that's genetics, not with training....damn.

Anyway, about to split a blunt of the orange k with the wife, she will then check out while I surf the forum and listen to the deads RSD release - a 46m Playing In The Band. So basically I am going to get stoned and try to count the number of banshee screams Godchaux can let out on a 46m jam.

:Namaste:

Dang! That looks great!
I thought so too, and has vaped well, I am only into two small ones tonight.

I think the presses will get a little better, the bag I used really was not able to be properly oriented on this small of a press, also I think they are a bit thicker than the ones that the pressmaker sells (those are cheaper too). This puck still had quite a bit of oil visible in the creases of the mesh.

Save the pucks and make QWET! Or at least oil if you're not the Everclear type. There's goodness left after smushing.

Been tossing the pucks in a quart ball jar for that exact purpose. Really easy to decarb on a half sheet and dump in a liter of everclear or oil.

My head is buzzing with the utility this press gives me.

Bear, awhile back you got me thinking about this....while we were in vegas we had some dried pineapple that had been painted with rosin dissolved in glycerin or something like that. I need to find that video again.

That’s a great idea for an edible! Do eeet!!!!

Hi Nobody!:ciao:
Shed sent me all the way to the early part of your journal as we were discussing losing humidity in my tent with the exhaust on lowest speed. Seems as though you devised a way to cycle your exhaust to keep co2 in. Im playing around with this same idea to keep from losing my precious humidity by cycling the exhaust fan. I have it set to come on at 45%RH and it runs for 1minute 30 seconds. It takes my humidifier about 3minutes 45 seconds to get the humidity from 40%RH to 45%RH.

I have it set to come on at 45%RH and it runs for 1minute 30 seconds. It takes my humidifier about 3minutes 45 seconds to get the humidity from 40%RH to 45%RH.

When I am running my CO2, I turn the exhaust off. Fan is not on a controller yet, as I have yet to find one that does what I like and is not 2K. My heat and co2 spike more in this larger tent than they did in my smaller tent, and it takes longer to adjust it back down to normal.

Top of my canopy runs from 65 at night to 94 if it is hot and the vent is off, RH right now is 45, if I turn gas heat on, it goes to 35 or less pretty quick.

My exhaust vents to the peak of my crawlspace by a vent. I run a Can 50 on the side for recirc and that kills any smell quick.

I have not seen RH spikes from me running CO2 over the summer do anything negative to the product. My RH spikes high 80s when I run it. I only run it when I am here to semi monitor, or if I am outside working for an hour or so and can come in and manually turn the vent on.

If I am on the road, tent vent stays on and co2 off.

Everything i've read says co2 is of the best benefit from the start of flower through stretch plus a week or so.

Hope that helps, ask, discuss? Sometimes I want more RH and sometimes I want less...but in the end I am at the mercy of the outdoors and what my central hvac does to modify that.

I opened the tent this morning and the GC leaned on me and told me it was tired and to look at it's trichomes, I see some amber here and there starting to appear, it's starting low and working up the plant, looks like I will be drying this week...maybe cutting Tuesday. Hopefully we will have 3 zips dry off this plant, maybe a little more.

This morning is Bake N' Wassle in that order. I am going to press about a gram of ak to vape while I am crawling on the roof hanging lights. Everytime I am up there I have this incredible view of downtown. I've though about adding a second story room with a nice deck to overlook the city every year I go up there. Just don't need the additional taxes. I guess I could just get baked and lay on the roof when I want a view. My wife would think that is feral of me.

I gave the GC and the RD some water with mammothp. Veg group is getting the same today. Around midday I will give the rd about 300 ppm of the Botanicare HPK and seaplex.

Wife is going to fry a couple chickens that I pulled with 6 dozen eggs last Thursday. I get sick of eggs when the hens are cranking em out after about the 2nd week of them-usually happens about the 4 quiche or so (wish I was brave enough to harvest mushrooms). Kids get to shell about 70# of pecans I have sitting in the garage. I still have about 300# at the barn. I gave the neighbor 20# and they thought they won the lottery. (shitty pecan season, but mine are managed).
