I am also in Canada. Just messing around with my first ever grow now. Lots of mistakes haha. Learning lots. The next one will be better I hope. What I am wondering is where do you get nutrients in Canada? I am in Nova Scotia, not many options at all out around my way so online would be ideal. It being winter and living where I do it has been next to impossible to get some potting soil and I need to transplant my girls to bigger pots soon so I have ordered some Coco and CalMag Plus and Nova Bloom, to follow some Lucas Formula for feeding I have seen that seems easy enough to finish off this first run. Next one is where I would like to get a bit more dialed in. So anything you can offer up as far as nutrients that can be ordered/shipped in Canada would be great. Cheers!
 
Yay another Canadian and easterners are some of my most favourite people! I found Nutrients the hardest part of growing and I am still new at this;) I am using Advance Nutrients sensi Grow and Bloom 2 part series, specifically for coco and you can order it online. I would highly recommend it for your next grow. It's very user friendly and they have an app that programs every thing for you! Geez you think they should sponsor me??? Who's following me from AN?? .. Anyways I don't work for them lol, I tried it first and it works so I'll stick with it. I've had really no burns and 0 deficiencies. My plants are always happy and so I'm happy!
 
Almost wish I had stuck with Advanced I think I can work with the Gen Hydro now that I know to use it very diluted nowhere near the recommended mixing they put on the jug.
 
I was so excited to see some growth already from this light! These will finish off nice and fat and frosty! Marshydro better send a new light with those green glasses if the want to compete with this Cali .. I haven't adjusted the height and they seem to love it. Their pistols are definitely browner and redder today .
I did a light defoil, clearing out the bottom and middle fan leaves...they were begging me, I swear!

And we have a bit more action in the veggie room. My 5 year old nephew is here visiting and he helped auntie water and transplant today. He loves gardening with me in the summer so was glad to get in the action;) He put them carefully in their new holes and got them cozy. Then we made little circle finger moats around the 2 babies and he watered them and did a great job staying in the circle ..StupidFace gave me that idea. I put the seedling in 3 G pots(their end pots) I've heard to do this with autos because when the tap roots hit the bottom of the pot, it recognizes that as it signal to hit puberty and start flowering. Everyone seems cozy!

Funny story...I was looking at Horti this morning and wondering why she looked a little sad. I look up and the mars epistar is off ... I turned it off yesterday when we put in the light, I didn't notice it wasn't on because the new light is so fricken bright!! Oh dear, so I guess she was getting a good blast either way. The temps have gone up at least 10 degrees... so to keep things from boiling, I opened the front door but now the RH has dropped to 35% .

Turn up the exhaust fan. It will help. 35% rh is perfectly fine.

.. that's a good story. I like it
