I will save all the larf and trim in the freezer for the next 2 months of harvests, then I’ll power it out
yes all synthetic except now the molasses I’m still experimenting but from my understanding molasses is a cheap easy version of bud candy. It won’t hurt your grow to try it in the last few weeks of flowering. I’m using a 1/2 tsp per gallon for the whole crew and I’ll up the dose when I do a 3 day flush at the end for all. If your going to try it, get the blackstrap molasses and not the fancy also add it after you add your nutrients but before you PH

I’m with Urb, I wouldn’t do it cause I’m lazy and not sure the stress is worth it. I’m starting to think it doesn’t matter what size your pot is, if a plant wants to grow more roots it’s gonna fuckin grow more roots! My current grow would be my example. All my girls are in 2 gallon pots except quarter pounder who got the 3 gallon. Guess who’s the smallest plant?? QPAWell if it needs it, and it’s only a few days in, it’s worth the risk. With fresh harvest oil do u make it the same way u would normal oil or is there a different method an do u decarb the bud if making fresh harvest oil?? Also do u need to decarb ur bud if ur usuing the magic butter machine?

Oh I almost forgot but I think u mentioned a few posts back or maybe I'm just confused with another post from sum1 else lol. But did u say the molasses CANT be used in a hydro setup?? Just wondering cause I have a cbd critical cure in flower about the same age as the bluecheese above. But she is in a dwc bucket so wondering if I cud use the molasses on her or no?

DIY edible oil infusion using fresh harvest material.
I do a lot of defoliation throughout the plants life; fan leaves, branches, baby buds etc. I hate to waste anything so about a year ago I started experimenting with fresh harvest infusions. I collect and freeze all the foliage until I have 2 large ziplock bags full. I usually take them out the night before, defrost and spread out to dry over night.
I use a turkey roaster to do the decarboxylating and then the infusion. I place the foliage in the roaster and cover then bake at 250F for 1 hour. I let the pan cool completely to allow all vapours (terpenes) to settle. I use coconut oil (as the carrier) and add about 3-4 cups to this amount of leaf material. I basically make sure that I use enough oil to wet down the herb but not soak it. I also add liquid sunflower lecithin as an emulsifier, usually 1 tsp to every cup of oil used. The lecithin helps to bind the oil to the bodies fat cells, creating a more intense and longer lasting effect.
I lower the temp of my oven to 180 F and while I wait for that to stabilize. I stir everything up really well (most of the moisture has been dried out by now). I cover and bake in the oven for 4-6 hours, stirring vigorously every hour. Once it’s complete, I strain through cheese cloth or a mesh strainer and done.
Sometimes if I think there is extra/too much moisture in the oil (only in fresh harvest infusions) I will set up a DIY double broiler and boil out the excess water. I find this not usually necessary.
I keep the fresh harvest oil in the freezer because I’ve had a couple batches go rancid (even in the fridge) over time so I don’t take any chances.

Good question! I add a teaspoon per cup during the infusion. I should mention that I melt the coconut oil first then add the LIQUID lecithin to the oil and mix well. (granules do not mix well) I don’t think I lose very much to the mash but if your worried you can add the lecithin after you strain, I used to do both for extra coverage. I will repost and editGreat tutorial newty! Quick question about the lecithin. Do you add it during baking or once removed? I know your only adding a tbsp / cup of oil but how much of that gets lost in the press of the leaf??
