You don’t want to be eating the fractionated stuff tho (I know you don’t Shed, just saying for the sake of others!) that’s for topicals.

And removing the heavier fats isn’t desirable IMHO. not because it’s bad or anything, more that it’s the fats that the cannabinoids bind to for absorption into the body... so I want all the fats! They’re really good for me!

That stuff should work - I’m just guessing that the full fatty oil might be more efficient/effective. (And I am guessing... no specific research on that specific topic was undertaken)

. It might not be as good for you in some ways that regular coconut oil is but I was reading this article and it doesn't mention anything about not being able to cook with it:

I thought there was something about fractionating that made it unfit for human consumption o_O

I think you just need to make sure it’s marked as food grade, or as MCT oil. Some conflicting info out there.

Just be aware that some fractionated coconut oil is made for skin an hair products and isn’t food grade at all.

Plus - the fractionation, whether for food grade or not, removes the most beneficial parts of the oil - the long chain fatty acids - so I’d still say even the food grade type isn’t as good for canna oil infusion as the full virgin oil

Me too - but I’ve been thinking about trying the coconut. Since I’ve discovered (thanks to newty :Love:

) how great hot canna beverages are, I was thinking the coconut oil might be nice for that. Except I’m currently trialing using coconut milk in tea and coffee and that’s a pretty coconutty flavour so maybe I don’t need to be adding to that. Also cause it’s solid I think if anyone I know ever want capsules that it would be a better bet. Apparently it metabolises faster as well, so there’s that too.

No dispensaries.... some one should make a call to the mayor, kinda sorta could be a revenue boost to the economy I'm thinking.

I’d love to visit one of those cannabis bnb places sometime. I’ll have to find the article about it. Buds come as part of the welcome basket, along with the coffee and wine and cheese and local delights. Sounds like a wonderful way to have a holiday!

Omg i hope i cud hit one of thise while we r on tour in Colorado. Tht wud b awesome spend the night in a weed bnb one of the 4 nights we will b there. All i know is thank god it will b off this fukn bus lol. But yea so far the oil i kinda messed up an turned the whole batch to cco lol. I sum how nusta mixed containers we. I was running inside n then wen i was inside necer switched it back. i wont have time to do another run right now so this run was biobomb useming the liquid coconut oil an so far i think it worked ill take kne or 2 an let u no know lol.

Hi Newty, congrats to the north on the new legal!!! Waitin and watchin for the US to wise up. This spring/summer was a complete wet washout glad I didn’t waste a seed tryin to go outside with anything. As for a fall/winter thing I am probly gonna hold off on that too as I still have 9 of my original 13 quarts o bud and have lots of other stuff I need to do although I would LOVE to grow me another monster and share the fun with yall. In the meantime happy growin to ya I’ll be around.
