IT'S FRIDAY SO LET'S LOOK UP FRONT UPDATE


Hi all, happy Friday! You're almost there! Today I just gave them their cal/mag and set up a fan to blow into the mass of leaves the Sky Muffin has amassed. She's a mess o leaves! Mr Shed turned me on to a timer called Mapow years ago and I have one turning the fan on for 5 minutes and off for 15 minutes so there no constant rubbing of things down there.

Sky Muffin sure is busy growing stems and leaves! These plants are 10 days from flip. I'll be busy trimming her up on day 21! She's loving life today!

LC-18 8 DAYS AFTER FLIP UPDATE

Hi all, I finally think I have the cal/mag situation under control here with new growth coming in nicely. She's a mover but not fast, my kind of action!

Been keeping up with the canopy. Stems are getting hard and pistils are gaggling up at the tips! Stretch is on!

Found my stretchie net so if the colas need help holding tons of bud weight :D I can help out!
She's drinking about a ltr a day and I'm putting a pinch of dolomite lime in the gallon bottle and 4ml cal/mag and shake to fill the watering can for the daily rez fill. TTFN :love:

She's a different plant Smokes. I'm having to think every day about how to approach the thinning coming up in 10 days on her! She's so busy in there! I've been opening her branches up as much as I can. She does have a nice color!

Thanks Bode! This one's been fun! She's such a sativa I'm excited to see how she flowers too! She has close to 30 I think, it's hard to count! 27 is where I get lost. I think :laugh:. 10 or 11 weeks to go!

Might I ask about the significance of defoliating on day 21? I've heard of it, but I don't understand it...

Sure Rob, when we flip the light it starts to change a photoperiod plant into flower mode.

For around 21 days they make branches for budsites, we call it "the stretch". When the stretch is done at the 21 day time we can see what branching the plant made, and if it is in the canopy of light from above in tents. What doesn't see good light comes off so the plant can focus energy on making really nice bud in the lit space we made for it.

Removing branches that won't thrive and inner shoots that won't see light at this time makes the rest of the plant thrive much better with bigger better buds. It's a quality thing.

When I get it right, almost every bud is frosty and not larfy, and I'm glad to have it in my jar.

THE BACK TWO UPDATE

Good day folks! Today let's look at the two in the rear of the tent.
First Northern Stank. She's still cruising for the top! Still making nice buds and setting the pace for the tent! She's got lots of secondary shoots with buds at a good height and her main colas are filling up nicely under this fantastic @ViparSpectra light soon to be unveiled for the first time.
