New Moon Over Guawi: A High Brix Journey

Just what I did with mine since moving indoors. Having it on 24/7 shot daytime temps up to 88 and if not on at lights out it got down to 64. Now it ranges from 70-84!

:yahoo:

Its surprising how much of a difference one or two can make, they dont feel that warm but do the trick
at a better price if your already close

Just back from Thanksgiving Clean up and see my TEMP /RH is sitting in my VPD Range @ lights off :slide:

74 F /41 RH lights off with both Seedling Matt Heaters and 1 De-Humidifier running, Nice thing about
the De-Humidifier is I can turn it so the WARM AIR is being exhausted and directed into the tent
keeps everything at 74/75 F and Lowers humidity just enough, seems to easy could it be easier
because its a more natural balance ?

Oh I forgot to mention while Reading up on VPD
I have begun to understand the relationship between the outside air temp and
the leaf temp. From what I have read we are looking for -2C (3.6F) for the best balance
BTW This can be adjusted by raising or lowering your lights.

I like it SINCE ONCE dialed in we have effectively balanced the LIGHT DISTANCE & VPD.
Makes a no brainier on Light distance ;) and may be the reason it seems easy to adjust,
more balanced ?

Are you using an instant read with the laser pointer to measure leaf temp? It works a charm.

I use an Ebay Hand held Lazer temp reader so I think so :bongrip:

My biggest problem is getting the outside Air canopy reading using the Remote sensor, or any monitor actually.
I have like 7 monitors, NON read the same, I use the average of the 5 that are closest :hmmmm:

Moved the Girls down another 6.5 inches to 25 inches below the 400W MH (was 18") will check again
tonight after a few hours of lights on to see what the Leaf to ambient air temperature is, I had a reading
of - 3 F but after checking again later it was at ZERO so I thought it better to let things stabilize before
adjusting further.

Tonight I will give the GDP A second in a row GE . The Guawi will getting a lower amount GE,
maybe only 7ml in the 10, seeing tip & leaf edge burning so thinking I should pull back on the
product a bit and see what developes.

I think maybe too much GE bud,...waddaya think?
Mornin to ya BTW!

Are we talking about the GDP ? or the GUAWI.

The Guawi has not had any GE since before the 2 cats
and ONE 1/4 TP before this last LOWER dose (10ml GE) last night

The GDP Is only a week out at best so I did a back to back GE on her but she was doing the fan
leaf eating before the first GE so think she is just finishing up VERY FAST

Hawaii & Malawi

Areas on the Equator have a constant 12 hours of day light all year round. As latitude increases to 80° (polar circles - north or south) day length can be seen to increase to 24 hours or decrease to zero (depending on time of year). Land of the Midnight Sun and Polar Winters where the sun never rises.

I Suspect this is the reason some have trouble getting them to flower on 12/12, Keeping them on 12/12 I bet
is also contributing to very long flower times with these Equatorial strains

Yes...that is correct 119! It is preferred to make a Drench with GE the last drink BUT is not a big deal if not given. Its preferred because it gives the produce a sweeter finish as apposed to a 'gamier' taste if a Transplant Drench is given. With me , i always finish with either straight water or GE but like to harvest when the pots are dryer , rather than moist. Just my method.
Cheers Gazoo, 119 and friends.

Other ideas would be to add small Samsung Panels to the 4 corners. Or single cobs. Just trying to source options and costs then I’ll decide.

:high-five: Cheers guys
You could get a four cob kit to fill in the corners nicely from our sponsor Timber Grow Lights. I have purchased two Citizen kits myself from them and now have 10 Citizen cobs in my 5x5. I just jarred a 1lb harvest. Just a suggestion that has worked for me.

EDIT: I will need to figure out a way to warm up the tent without using a 1500w space heater :(
I have been utilizing my Large seedling mats, One under bottom foam insulation and one hanging against
the inner tent right side wall. Been holding 68 at lights out but see today, lights out I'm only 66 F.

One way I increase temperatures without using electricity is to set up my tent as recirculating. Use the heat of lights as a heat source. I just pull the fan/filter combo exhaust duct down from blowing out the top of the tent to blowing inside on the floor of the tent which keeps your pots(roots) warm. I recommend lots of air flow though. A big fan on low setting for example. If you have plants in 7s or 10s the humidity is going to rise once you change the setup because of the leaves transpiring. As for when lights are off, the dehumidifier heats the space controlling RH or atleast you are running a heating pad 50% less since you wouldn't run the heater when lights are on. Which putting a heater in a fresh air system is throwing away money. You just suck the heat out. As for the people who will say the air will become CO2 deficient, i say bah humbug in a tent. Plus we are opening our tents enough. Don't you have plans for a CO2 system anyways? Cant run fresh air system with CO2, so this idea might work for you.

At this time I am running an open tent ( CO2 later still researching)
the TWO 107w Heating Mats work great BUT just recently noticed even with the Heating Mat
under the tent floor insulation, & a 1/4 inch pressed wood sheet laying on-top for solid base support
along with Pot Tray and pot-raised up in the tray1 inch
I NOTICED
THE ROOT BALL temp has risen a considerable amount, Raised the pots back up to 22" below HPS
has brought the ROOT TEMP back down (another 4" space between Pot and Heat Mat

I also use my De-Humidifier at my Lights out as a Heat source, Just turn it so the heated dry air exhaust is directed
into the tent, again I run an open tent so this works great

Gazoo...you researching CO2....talk to me. I have experience ...and thoughts.:passitleft:

Will do, :hugs: still working on the VPD, need that dialed in First, not sure if my next grow or not but in the FUTURE most definitely :high-five: Have a Full tank, Regulator and Controller. Still need a CO2 Drip Ring and a MONITOR thinking
this LOGGER is very reasonable, Nearly all the CO2 Monitor's I have looked at are much more and do less

Why is your tent open again? :)

Very small 2 x 4 x 7 ft tall. 600w broken up into 10 heat sources Nearly impossible to keep under control
when closed the temp swings are to great for my equipment to handle

Here is a picture of the set-up in MID SUN-RISE routine, not all the lights are on yet,
Also I changed the Far-Red Cone Fixtures behind the T5s with Far-Red Pucks that are
hung like wings on the side of the HID HOOD
