Hi Wes. Wes is a nice name, pol pot is not. The man was a mass murderer. Your choice of handle is very disturbing in my opinion.

I am so use to seeing cannabis terms like pot in the name that I didn't even make the connection. Thought it was a joke until I scrolled back up and saw, yep that is what it said. Pol not Pull:bong:. Willing to let it slide because I don't think it is the real Pol Pot. Points will be totaled after we know if you are growing Cambodian or Vietnamese strains.
Vietnamese?! Bite your tongue!

I'd really like to find out what you find funny about my comment, @Tokin Roll and @JiggiLotus. I am being completely serious.
Pol Pot is known to have executed 1.5 to 2 million Cambodians during his reign of terror in the 1970's. I included links in my post for those who aren't aware who Pol Pot was.
This is not a laughing matter.
sorry @BeccaBuds i had no idea, it was just so random, forgive me. 🙏
definitely learning something every day.
thats a lot of death, i dont serve the kingdom of darkness. that guy made his cell of fire and brimstone. Lord have mercy on those souls.

Oh, please. The US likely killed more Cambodians in the early 1970s than the Khmer Rouge ever did. Don’t forget it was the US who overthrew Sihanouk in 1970 and installed Lon Nol as their puppet. This paved the way for intense bombings thru mid-decade.

Historian Michel Vickery has sometimes been accused of a pro-Vietnam revisionist. But even he acknowledges that the numbers of Cambodian deaths probably did not exceed 300k. That is a horrible number, for sure, but it pales in comparison to the half mil-1 million Cambodian deaths caused by US bombs from 1970-75 (See Problems of Communism, Zasloff & Brown).

The other propaganda—koan kroach (killing live fetuses), killing anyone wearing glasses, the “master race,” (gee, where have we heard that before?)—was just that: propaganda. The US supported Pol Pot for years, and made an uneasy alliance with China. It was all an effort to combat communist Soviets, the essential backers of communist Vietnam and their fight against the quasi-nationalist Khmer Rouge.

You can bet the US breathed a sigh of relief when Pol Pot was croaked. The relatively recent convictions of Chea and Samphan (who, I believe, is still alive in prison) are virtually of no consequence today. The media has moved on and the story has lost its vigor.

The U.S. killers made the Khmer Rouge look like amateurs. But the mass of drone Americans will never know. Nor do they care.

This isn’t the place for this kind of discussion.
We are friendly cannabis oriented forum.
Wes I'm sure you have other outlets for this opinion. :Namaste:
I’m sure I speak for the majority of members here when I say we would appreciate it if you discussed your political views elsewhere.
If you want to change your icon and talk about your garden we would be happy to discuss.
Otherwise I think you should take your rhetoric elsewhere.

Apparently, it is the place for this kind of discussion since you are discussing it.

And, I was not the one who started the political discussion.

There is no progress to be made in any debate that includes politics, religion, drunks or 2 year old's. Just aggravation and wasted breath. Let's move the conversation to something productive.

What type of plants have you or do you want to grow? Indica/sativa preference? Organic, synthetic, soil or hydro? Indoor or outdoor?
