New growth - Wilting with brown tips

Oh don't you worry! I will! :)

I still want to know how the hell I got nitrogen claw from not adding nutes, assuming that's what it is and the big flush works.

I agree - it makes no sense to have a plant that dark, and with claw when you've not fed it anything.
I'm going to blame it on the coco, only because I've never used it.

Well I took her outside on the deck and ran my garden hose in shower mode, low pressure for about 20-30 minutes. I gave her a good soak first and waited about a half hour before I started the flush. I'm guessing I used about 15 gallons. Tilted the pot some for a bit to drain then to the other side. It's hot out and humid out there so I put a deck chair next to her to block the direct sun since all the leaves are wet. Probably let her sit out there for a bit before I bring her back in. I don't want the leaves to burn from the LED light with all the droplets on them and such.

I really, really hope this works.

Brought her inside. Gotta admit I expected a lot more drooping from ALL the leaves, not just the lower ones after such a heavy dose of water. It's making me wonder if I didn't do 15 gal after all. :(

I've got my doubts. All the upper most new growth and their leaves are already starting to claw and brown at the tips.

I'll give it another day but at this point I gotta ask about switching over to flower. Is this a fools errand or could I at least get something out of her by switching to flower now?

:surrender:
Heck! I'm completely stumped on this. I wish someone else would jump in and give you their $0.02. I've never seen a plant look quite like this.
If you think it is really a lost cause and since you've never fed it anything, I'd give it a dose of some balanced nute's to see what happens. By the same logic, you've got nothing to lose by trying to put her in bloom.
:sorry:

I agree with Major PITA, give it a light feeding (like 1/4 strength) of a good balanced nutrient AND micronutrients. Best of luck!

Here's what I'm looking at this morning.

That doesn't look so bad.
Early on, some nutrient deficiencies look a alike to me: potassium, phosphorous, calcium, magnesium, zinc, manganese. It might be any of them. I haven't been much help so far, but I'd still try adding balance nute's.

So even though I've heard people say it looks like a slight cal/mag deficiency because of the coco fiber, are you guys sure I shouldn't add some? I just got the CALiMAGic from General Hydroponics delivered.

And please suggest a specific micro nutrients and seaweed that I can buy (hopefully via Amazon). I know nada about that stuff.

IMO, the CaliMagic is fine. It is worth a shot, however, it won't help if the problem is 'P' or 'K', etc.
Since you are using Gen Hydro, you could go with their "Flora" products. I've used their Gro, Bloom, and Micro products with good results. You could use the Lucas formula and omit the Gro.

That Micro is a 5-0-1. Isn't that 5 for Nitrogen?

Yes it is.
"FloraMicro" also has all the micro nutrients in it as well. Mixed with Bloom (and Gro), it represents a well balanced set.
Since you've never fed the plant, I'm hoping the 'N' toxicity is a mis-diagnosis. I don't see how the plant can be overloaded with 'N' based on your soil and water only. Dunno - I can't be sure of anything at this point.

Your newer growth appears lighter green. It may just be the lighting. I've used the above GH Flora mixture at 1/2 their recommended strength and not had burning on plants your size.

Well the Cal/Mag calls for 1 tsp/Gal. I put 1/4 at most in 1/2 a Gal. Just fed her so I guess we shall see. I got the trio from GH coming Thursday.

I should have checked the run off pH yesterday as that 1/2 gal with 1/4 tsp of cal/mag provided a cup or more, but I didn't. :(

She's grown. The four main future colas have gotten bigger and fuller. However, the tips are still browning and the leaves edges are discoloring somewhat, although it seems to be happening at a slower rate than the last couple of days. Here's some pics under the LED which tends to make things look worse than under normal indoor lighting.

Better! Not perfect, but much better. :thumb:
