New Grower Autos From Seed

I flushed with 3 gallons of h20 ph'd to 6.0 and added Flora Kleen then I fed like this.

1 gallon h20
1/8 tsp Micro, Bloom, CalMag
4 drops Gro
1 tsp Armor Si

for a coupla days and then I upped the mix, but left the Armor Si at 5 ml

Don't worry about the ph so much on the way out, it's not that important.

Ok so just completed flush with 5 Gallons of tap water ph'd between 5.0 and 5.8 and ph is actually higher now at 6.4, don't know what that's all about (possible build up?) She's sitting at 275 ppm and EC 0390 minus my ppm in water. Will be just giving light nutrient dose tonight at 0.5ml of base nutes for flower and kelp. She will be no doubt stressed out a bit after this so will be continue on light doses of nutrients going forward, just sucks that this is going on so late in flower:lot-o-toke:

I haven't checked my runoff in a while, but I did notice when I fed and then checked PH it usually dropped about .2 from the in. Like I said don't go chasing the PH, you need to try one thing for at least a couple of days. If you see improvement then stick with it, if not, post results and ask more questions.

My Kush Auto got Nute lock out about mid flower too. B/c we are in coco, once you get on the right track you'll know it, and doesn't take too long for the plant to tell you. I know it's difficult not fixate on this issue, but try to take it one feeding/ watering at a time. You're ok, most important thing is to make small changes not huge over-corrections. Here's a link to my Kush Auto Journal where I followed the same advice I'm giving to you. I'm still learning too man, that's the greatest part of this hobby, we just keep getting better and learning too!

Agemon's Kush Auto Grow

That was exactly my problem, I thought she was getting not enough nutrients and decided to up her dose by 2 ml. Since I was feeding twice daily I thought my evening feed was washing out my bloom and micro nutrients that I was giving her in the morning and I had to increase to compensate for the loss. This morning she's looking pretty sad lol. Other plant is looking great which is strange since she's the smallest and the latest in bloom, she's taking the same amount of nutrients as the sick one was. I can see purple traveling up the stem of the sick one now and each leaf that is effected as well, I hope she stops spreading. Will see if I can pick up some Silicate later on today. Thanks again for the help man and thanks for linking to you're journal where I can see how you dealt with the issue.

You got it Nuke! Check it out man, My first signature, "We're all here..." is a link to InTheSheds Journal. I promise you two things, you will be welcomed and two. After you say hi first, then drop some of your pics and ask for some advice. Many many members hang out there and you may get some differing opinions.

Nice and thanks again! Looks like a lot of good knowledgeable people over there. I've subbed the thread and know where to go if I run into any more issues. I think things should be ok for now if I get this lock down under control. Forgot to post some bud pics, at least they don't seem too effected by the lock out. Maybe it's too early to see a change but already I see some tiny leaves poking through between the buds. Tonight just gave her 0.5ml of sugar and flower nutes low dosage for now.

Looks like the lower part about 4-3 nodes down is toast. They are really dry however not falling off yet. Been trying to expose as many healthy leaves that I can to the light. I do see some faint discoloration on some of the newer leaves up by the flower and have already raised my light up as far as it can go in case this was also light related. It is sure that I have some type of lock out going on since I see purple traveling up the stem on a few branches.

How does the younger/ newer growth look? Your leaves wont recover, it's your option if you want to defol those. How far into flower are you now. A couple of weeks? If your at or close to three week defol you can remove a few at a time. That will help the plant to produce newer growth too. Don't go crazy if you want to remove leaves and you could even just trim off the reddish parts too.

I'm 6 weeks into flower, the strain looks like it takes 70 days to harvest and looks like she needs more time as we're going on two months. There is some new leaf development around the buds and it does look healthy for now. I do notice a slight discoloration on some of the tiny leaves poking out of the buds so it is still traveling a bit. The red that I see is traveling up the stem on one of the branches possibly more, it's like a jungle in there brother lol. I think I will remove some of the bad leaves since it's just covering some lower bud sites down through the canopy, would this be a good time to cut some off or too late? I did see some exposed root on the surface of the coco, I just brushed some more coco over it. I thought another problem may be how I'm watering her, I can't get in or take these things out of the tent to properly water them and I'm wondering if I'm not hitting all the surface of the coco to get out all the salts and nutrient build up. I do notice that my ppm dropped 10 points from yesterday with same quantities of nutrients that I gave her tonight so it's taking something in.

The redness of the stalk that I thought was due to lack of calcium

The red or purple on the stems is likely Calmag Deficiency. Now that you've flushed are you checking the numbers again. If memory serves you should see bout a 00.2 drop in PH in the waste collection. I know Tio mentioned that in my journal, that's why I shared the link. Did you find that bit about the numbers for PH and ppm when testing the drain to waste?

I did notice a drop in the ppm's. PH had gone up to 6.4 when I performed the flush, similar to what happened to your grow with the kush auto and now it's dropping a bit down to 6.2. Some good reading in that kush grow journal, I've picked up a few pointers from it and did see the part about Tio mentioning ph drop off. My plant pretty much did what yours did so I'm going to gradually up the Calcium and magnesium a bit. I'm still doing low doses right now 1ml max until I see some improvement. The part about bud back building is pretty cool and will be looking at trying this out if my buds don't fatten up.

Went and picked up some Armor Si today and will be adding this to my nutrient mix. I understand this stuff spikes your ph so will be starting at 1/4 teaspoon per gallon and another 1/4 teaspoon this evening. This should help since I cut off 5 of the dead leaves today and the plant will need that extra push to bounce back. Still see a bit of browning on newer leaf growth between buds, however redness of the stems seems to be breaking up a bit.

Went ahead and cut a good 5 of the dead fan leaves off, plant # 2 is looking better and packing on the buds. Plant # 1, the healthy one has sadly started to take on the spotted rust. Feel like I'm grinding through this grow and if I make it to harvest it's going to be a miracle. Don't know what I'm doing but I'm just going to keep on doing lol. Checked over the buds with my microscope and can see that some of the trichomes are getting a whitish color. Strain for critical auto says 12-14 weeks to harvest and I'm on week 7 on plant 1 and week 6 on plant 2. Thinking that I could let them go a little longer until I cut em down.

I did some back building on two of the buds that I saw that were not filling in just to see how it would turn out, and do notice some nice new growth going on. @Agemon I see that you cut your silica down to 2.5ml towards the end of your run, I'm on my 6th day using Armor Si and wondering when I should slow down silica intake? Those pics helped out man, I know what I should be looking for now, can see you have a bit of amber going on in one of those pics, looks nice!

Those pics are from two different plants. Not sure if you noticed the tags, 3 different strains there, I just wanted you to see there are some common things to look for. I like mostly cloudy with very little amber. That's a decision you get to make. Usually around end of week 7 of a 63 day flower, is when you should really start to watch the trichs.

You got something for looking at those trichs?

Yup, I got the same one, I stopped using it, cause I can see better on my computer after I take pictures. I hope you find that easy to use, I struggled. I found the best way to use the Carson was to have my bud on the table but that's hard to do when it's attached to the plant.
