New Grow

Good Morning All

Today the retarded one appears to have grown slightly and I think she’s looking better. Tuesday she will get 1/2 grams of MegaCrop and calmag.

You guys agree?

That new growth looks much better. She's definitely on the mend now.

She’s in roots organic soil and it’s always has plenty of nutrients for the first few weeks
I use promix organic moisture mix, or promix organic vegetable & herb mix.
They both have organic nutrients added.
I still start 1/4 strength MC when they get to their second set of true leaves.

I start out in smaller pots, so I saturate the soil.
I've tried starting out in larger pots, and I watered down near the stem and then in line's leading out from it towards the edge to lead the roots out. As she got bigger I added more water until I was saturating the soil. That was in a 5 gallon fabric pot.
I only use plastic pots for the first couple of pots when using soil.
I don't generally need to use calmag. MC is fairly high in cal, and if I start to get a mag deficiency I use either Epsom salts or mag nitrate.
In a plastic pot like you're using I would give her a bit near the stem, and then around the edges of the pot. Get her roots out there searching.

When the pot feels light. Once per week until dried out a bit. Thoughts? @Azimuth
Don't look at me, I grow in #SIPS.
:laughtwo:

JK. If you want to do the wet/dry thing you wait until the pot feels surprisingly light when you pick it up and then thoroughly soak the medium. The time between waterings this way will drop from every 5-7 days to every 1-2 days and then it's time to uppot into a larger container.

But you're in a pretty big container for such a small plant that you'll have to be careful. Emilya has a good thread on How to water a seedling in its final container

Here is a picture of the retarded one on Day 13. She appears to be doing better but still tempted to pull her or just start another in a another pot.

Do you have any Roots Excelerator Gold , superthrive or any b1 seaweed product?
I always start off with superthrive and roots Excelerator in my mix for young ones.
Key to the issue is what is going on below the surface.
I maximize root growth and health.
I get pretty lucky that way ;)
Just a couple pennies :Namaste:

Stay safe
Bill284 😎
