New Farmer - Advice Appreciated

no probs, its best to ask about these things though, puts your mind at rest, mold spreads pretty quick so just keep an eye on the plants for a few days, if you have got or getting mold you will notice it as it looks really powdery and it will spread across the bud or leaves, so just check as often as you can, if you see any cut that part of the plant away and you may stop it, left unchecked it will ruin the whole crop,

hows the smell going, is it all looking ok mate, keep checking the plants for powdery stuff, just in case, would hate for you to lose the whole crop,
Thanks for asking Don! And I am no longer concerned about the smells, I guess it's the pre smells of some great pot, I was no accustomed to the changing smells of flowering MJ, The ladies look really good this morning, The woke up with a good attitude all perky and stuff, Well for wondering how they are doing here's a few pic's for you and the other to see where Im at,, Enjoy because I know I do!

everything looks great mate, glad you got some very nice looking ladies, gona give you some good smoke by the looks of it, cant wait to see the final result and weigh in
Im pretty excited myself about it, They are getting pretty dense and I didnt think they would considering the lighting, Guess sometimes they will do what they want to do.They are an amazing plant!!

Looking nice, how far are they again?

Try backing off just a tad with the camera, it doesn't focus at the close distance. Most phones don't work that close either. There would be a setting of macro if the camera has it, for shooting close-up. Often represented by a icon of a flower..

Can we see pics of the plant in whole?..
:geek:

Looking good man:goodjob:

Ok man here it is! Heres my experimental bud for the day! Im like a kid in a candy store on christmas day winning the lottery! then the other pics you asked for as well!

Also take into mind guys I am not using anything spectaclular as far as lighting, I have 6 32 watt 5000k shop lights over the ladies, I know about the cfl's and other but I talked to Hash Hound on here and he said he did what im doing years ago and grew some dank buds, and with $$ and issue when I started I just decided to keep it like it was, I knew it would take longer and yield less but im ok with it, always time for improvement the next grow which i plan to upgrade lighting during flower but keep the same lights I have for veg! Hope that explains to all you pro growers why my ladies are midgets!

And By The way Smokz I found Macro on my phone!

Taste testing this one now!

You are doing great... next time will blow this one away I bet with all you have learned.
I have learned so much here from everyones different ways of growing and opinions as well as fact! And I feel like theres just an endless amount of knowledge when it comes to this specific plant! Oh also I wanted to know instead of sugar daddy should I use Molassas? Not that I have sugar daddy ready to go but, I know I heard to flush with molassas, but I want to get rid of the vinegar from lowering the ph, or is that a non factor with the taste like vinegar thing? Well I would like to sweeten up the buds before harvest so any suggestions would be a plus! I have a few dollars for something to do that with as well! And picking off 2 little buds like I did is not going to stress her is it?

Molasses is great for cannabis, a lot of the bud products are made from molasses. Lots to read on that topic as well. I doubt it will cause much stress, a lot worse happens in nature. The goal is to have the best grow you can, so it is only natural to want to grow to finish with a proper dry and cure. Then you can enjoy the quality of your work at it's best.

Well The Bud I dryed out was a small one so it cured easy in the oven! I just tryed it and I do believe we have a winner! Its a body high which I was going for, Still needs a bit more time flowering, Im no pro but still a bit early, got a homey taste to it, not harsh or bad tasting just a not ready tatse if that makes sense? And the hanging cure will give it its taste as well? but none the less good bud I have!

You are entering the zone of opinion in this matter. The cure is where you impart unique flavor and character. Some don't cure at all. In the end it's your call... Drying makes it smokable. I'd suggest you read up on it and choose what fits your mood and style.

The taste you speak of, I call green taste.
