Ok next thing im doing since i have lots of bud spots going is trim of some of the fan leaves..these big giant leaves are preety to look at but there blocking important light to the parts of the plant .we want buds right..BIG ones..so we have to remove them..now dont go crazy wackin leaves..i limit it to about 10% once a week as needed..

Now my pails are still to wet to water but they need some nutes.should i water anyway..no way.
This is where foiler feeding is so great..now i sprayed them with grow big last nite..they got some nutes and i didnt have to over water..now i can get all the yellow growth i had hiding under the giant fan leaves greening up fast.
So i say yes to de leafing..it =big buds.and we all want that..so cut them . they'll grow more trust me.

Hey everyone..should be harvesting the widows in like two weeks..starting flush on sunday and trimming off most of the fan leaves....should be a good one.got some really big ass pop can buds..ill post some updates tonite..new pics also im going to pop a bean in a solo cup for the fun of it and see how big i can get it..found these at the store. There
2 ounce cups..never seen one this small before..should be fun what the hell..

I did 1/4" tsp a gallon of it one week then then next I did 1/4" strength nutes. They responded quite well.

Ok everyone tgif right...
So the girls are looking great so far..all strains seem to take the same nutes no problem..so far. Now i got 3 what id call runts..slow growth so i gave them some cal mag for a light shot of mg and n..i did see some responce..i will give those 3 more in a day or two..
so it was time to clear some of the fan leaves out of the middle to get some good growth down below..you can see all the nodes that wernt getting light..now i can see the soil down through the top.these will shoot up pretty fast now..so i always remove and leaves that block nodes. .no light no grow..so dont be afraid to trim leaves..it increases production and yield..dont worry thell grow more..lots more. This is what i find works for me with great results.

So on to the flowers. .trichromes have some cloudyness finally.2 morrow it will be 8 weeks..so you can see lots of yellow leaves now..there ready to flush..8 will be flush with straight ph water for 2 weeks..no magic potions.molasses any thing at all..you want a smooth taste its gonna come from not harvesting early..proper curing. .patience is key.not only that you going to lose yield finishing early. .last 2 weeks the buds can really swell up..there fight to live.and just explode with resin production and the highest strength. .so these widows will go 10 weeks to finish..there list at 8 wks to finish. .go by the plant not the estimated time.you could give up a lot extra bud..so its almost time.these girls are ripe for sure..honestly ill be glad to get them out to get the new girls in..they want more light..

By the way heres how i always germinate. .been doing it 30 yrs...
Soak seed in water 12 hours..fold up a few paper towels pour water and seeds in to towels on a dinner plate on top of a heating pad on low...keep it moist.not soaked..do not put a humidity dome over seeds..it gets very hot under there with or with out a heat pad..seeds need air also..and when they dont usually pop up out of the dirt later is because the tap root is cooked and is dead..so i have almost 100% doing this way. .of course no seed is perfect..but if it dont grow blame the seed not the techniques used to germinate with this method..but everyone has there way..this is my way.works for me.try it..

Very similar to the method I used. I hope it works for me too. Waiting for them to get above ground now is a pain, bro.
 
In rockwool I get them commin out within 12-18hrs after placing the spouts. Kinda like when I clone I get a dry rockwool cube run it under the faucet for 30 second cut whatever piece that aint gonna be useful for the grow cycle, trim it like anyone would trim a clone and boom. place it in the cube , under the dome spray twice a day 4-6 days later I have me a clone. I don't know but rockwool works.... oh yea and I never use cloning solution , ever.

Morning. .got up and yep had a tap root..took less than 24 hours..shes in her cup now..
Also i always use tweezers to handle my seeds when i plant because i smoke cigs.if you smoke dont touch new seeds.why take the chance. .
 
Exaxtly..yes too many growers cutem down far too early..i see pics on here of harvesting that should go another 3 weeks..ahhhh if only they knew what there missing..thanks buckshot..you know..

Thought id talk about things needed for harvesting since in too weeks ill be doing it..actually twice this journal..
So if ur new and doing your first grow. Heres what to get to be ready..
1.good scissors. .get a pair with a return spring or your hands gonna get real tired..
2.glass jars..with rubber seal lids..i use speghetti. Jelly.jars.
3.a humidty and temp guage to put in jars for curing..most pet stores have these for 10 bucks
4.drying rack..or u can just hang the plant and dry.then trim.but you have to handle them twice that way..i like to cut.trim dry all in one shot.
5.alcohol to clean those sticky scissors

Thats about all ya need ..get it together youll be harvesting buds before you know it..
