:passitleft:Ok so there's not much to report..although I can see I have two girls that are going to be trouble makers for me..there growing at a fast pace compared to the others.there on 4th set of leaves others are 2.im going to put them on a light diet of 14/10 and leave the other's on the 18/6 schedule.. maybe I can slow them up some.i put them in the corner..I can see trying to keep an even canopy later on is going to be a challenge to do 4 strains...I think I'll make a light trolly.think I'm going to need one later on.:420:

Well I'm bored..plants grow to slow. LoL

Thought I'd share so time saving tips I know..we all know how much work growing is right..and if you haven't grown yet you will !
Ok how to transplant the easy way.wont even get ur hands dirty.
First off forget solo cups.pails .buckets.
Get a straight sided container with a removal lid..I love coffee cans.
Cut off bottom.thats now ur top..grow her up..time to replant. Let soil dry out a bit.remove bottom lid holding dirt in.set down in new pot.fill in around plant..pull out container.done planted..no shocking..no tipping upside down..no being nervous if your new..
And trust me a preety big plant will slip through that hole..branches and leaves just fold in toward stem..no problem.
Try it..you'll love this way..

Here's another work saver..if your always getting out a ruler. Checking you light hight from canopy. .checking plant growth..pain
In the ass..simple but big rulers on the wall..I start mine from the top of my final pot of course.now you can tell where your at in a second

So I look around all I see is people going from a solo cup to a gallon pot to a 3 or a 5..honesty in my opinion it's totally not needed.you tell me..works for me. Start right out in the big pot..but you got to water around the outside of the big one so the roots head to the sides..way less work..I transplant one time at the most like this grow..will go right into 5 gallon square pots

We will be doing this on the new grow..stick around and see..

Ok everyone. Here's a couple pics..green crack is on crack..the WW is moving very slow..but I know it will all even out in the end..checked my soil ph..it was 6 so I added a teaspoon of lime to each pot..I always use lime to get my soil adjusted.im a big beliver in what the roots are setting in..I measure run off too but worry most bout soil ph..if I got bad run off means your soil is screwing it up..hate chasing ph..so for all you newbies..lime is your answer to low ph...

I added some pics of my new light trolly I made today..was cheap to make..23 dollars..this should help me later down the linz get a bigger yield..im hoping for 45 oz on this..yep That's what I said...lol
Just check out the better coverage I can get in My room...also I'm not a fan leaf trimmer..if there blocking I tuck..now I installed the today in my flower room..what a big diff...I move it a bit..buds in the light..now I can adjust my light foot print..

Here's a few tools I would recommend for a new grower to get..
A digital probe..tests soil ph...Soil temp. .light intensity. .Soil moisture. .
A inference heat gun..I like to know the temp that's hitting my plants..I like any thing from 65 to 75..if your sing 80+ it's to hot for the plants..we want to grow them not cook them..
I nice pair of hair scissors. .perfect for topping and trimming... never fimed a plant yet with a pair of these.

So hopefully we can do some topping next week .going to grow some nice trees. .not bean poles.
Be back in a couple days....

This is what I will be trying to achieve with this grow..short bushy plants with 6 to 8 colas each. .for me it about the yield.
He'll with it I want 50 oz..ha ha..

great job your doing old school , wanted to ask a few questions . 1 - the whites on top of the soil is that the bits to kill the gnats and if so when you water want it go in the soil and be bad for the plants ? 2 - i have 3 day old seedling under cfls . how long as in time or there size befor i could move them under my 600w led light for veg ? oh and this led light is for veg and flower all in one . thanks

Hi there..no the white on the top is lime to raise my soil ph..as for your seedlings ..put them under your led right away..as you can see in my thread my seedlings
Are under my led ..sooner the better..about 30 inches away is good..

Ok..so it's been 13 days from germination.there so cute when there babys..LOL. .things seem good..they are now big enough to move the led to 20 inches..top of leaves are 70 degrees with a fan blowing across the tops..perfect.keep heat down..75 or less
The others will catch up later..the bigger 2 have 4 nodes. 2 more and there getting topped..
Still no watering from the last time..I'd like to point out if you look at my yellow gnat traps there are none. Like one or two..that's what not over watering and the misquito bits will do for you..peace!!

Well I'd thought I'd talk about led lights..I used to use mh and hps..here's mine i got in 1990..
I've used them all t-8s. T-5s cfls..nothing compares to a led in my opinion..except mh.but there hot and you have to keep buying bulbs
pros of leds..
1.very intense light..good penatration. .
2.low heat.very easy to control..
3.long life span.
4.low electric bills..
cons of leds...none. .least I can't think of any..
I'm so glad I made the move to leds...as far as brands.i done research.checked the forms.noticed that the marshydro is the best bang for your buck..Yea some people bad mouth the mars but for stupid minor issues..I mean any thing can break.
Hell I had a fan go.called up I had a new one in 3 days..there easy to fix.well built..I know I had mine open.
So I'd suggest marshydro if your going to get a light buy the biggest one you afford. .trust me if I didnt think they were kick ass I wouldn't have 3 of them..wish I had there pro series light..now that's one cool light..would be fun to compare with others.
so if you were in the market go for it. There tried and tested..:thumb:

Subbed. I'm going old school on my new grow. T5, MH, HPS. I'm hoping the vented hoods help with the temps. I have a window unit in the room where the two grows get intake air from. I love your coffee container idea! Genius! Love your transplant method as well. I'm going to try your transplant method on two of my seedlings once they get here. Keep up the good work. Very educational and informative.

Yes try it..you will see how easy and simple it is..no hassel transplanting..never lost a girl yet..LoL
Thanks for viewing my journal..
And if you want to ask me anything feel free..I only give good solid advice based on my methods.

Looking great old school, just a quick question, did you germinate using the exact CK seeds method they advise people using or did you do ur own thang? Personally i use to the damp paper towel in a sandwich bag without closing it in a shoebox and ive had 100% seed pop rate. But not thrive rate is only 1 therefore Im trying the water cup to paper towel on a plate this germination and I just wanna know if you did that also or u did it your own way?
