New City Grower 5.O - The Paper Chase

Doesn't surprise me one bit Hidden. My motto has always been... "Waste no Bud" even before this pothead started growing. Matter-of-factly I've smoked some pretty good stuff over the years from some plants that barely made it to the finish line so let no-one tell you a bad grow = corny smoke.

How's life been treating you?

Somewhere in my free falling internet searching in the past year I recall some growers in Colo talking about how the popcorn buds were more potent than the apical colas. My own observation is that they tend to be much frostier, so they may be on to something.

I jar all my popcorn up, then I decarb it for 110 min at 230 degrees F before I smoke it. Best damn stuff you can't find on the street. Oh yeah!! :slide:

So, do you think it might have been the pH that caused the problems with the struggling ones? I'm still learning bottled nutes, and the pH thing remains something of a mystery to me. I figured out how to make it work, without bothering to learn the fine detail whys and wherefores. Kinda lazy like that I guess.

Nah Sue, I believe the problem was over-dosing with the nutes. Thinking that we needed more nutes since packing paper has no nutrients was our downfall. We started at 6.0 PH which is in range for soiless medium. The pic you said reminded you of me is understandable; It seems all apt dwellers have our tents stacked up side by side...:hugs:
 
Good mate, especially tonight I built my first cheap shit but workable light. It lasted the 30 min burn in time so I'm happy lol, mind if I post a pic? Seriously mate this cost me £25 :rofl:

Sue, is there a specific reason behind the decarb before smoking please? I know you love the edibles and I would if I could cook lol but is there a difference in cannabinoids, or is it taste if it's decarbed before smoking? :thumb:

What made me think of you was the pink light reflected off the walls. There's always pink light seeping from the grow spaces. :rofl:

The Dutch discovered that the perfect decarb for maximum THC is 230 F for 110 minutes. Quite by accident I discovered that doing that decarb and then smoking it potentiates the cannabis far beyond what it would have been without the decarb.

We've run some casual experiments around the site and found that with smoking, it hits faster and deeper and lasts longer for women. This surprised us, but it is what it is. We have no explaination, but it was reflected numerous times.

Decarb and use it in edibles and you have a wonderful potentiating that's felt and experienced as a sweet ride by either sex.

I decarb all my bud, excepting what I may be saving for an oil that will be decarbed naturally over three months - another way to incredibly potentiate the harvest.

I'm stingy with my cannabinoids. If I can get them to hit harder and last longer I'll grab that opportunity and run with it. I grow for medicine. Any economy is a good thing.
 
That makes sense thanks for the reply Sue, I'll have to give it a try now that you put it like that. Can't say it will last any longer or have any more effect really when my first hit usually has me hammered quick lol but it sounds interesting.

I'm only making medicine for my mind and I'm still unsure as to how much THC I like, I've been thinking of growing a high CBD strain to see whether that works any better, but it seems a waste, because although I don't like getting tripped out there is a part of weed that I love and that keeps me semi sane. So many choices and so many different ways

Hidden, any help you need building lights I'm sure LA will be more than happy to offer his expertise. Why do you think we call him Light Addict; that's his forte.

I know the explanation... Women pay more attention to detail in every aspect of life than men. It's a no-brainer. LOL


One of my daughter's friends actually ask her "Is your father gay" because she always sees pink light coming from under my bedroom door when they come to the back of the apt. Go figure.

Hello everybody.Been a while folowing you BAR and I really learnt a lot from you.I have 2 seedlings on my own outside playing god with them and experimenting with temps hehehe.I live in Balkan...yeah faaaar away and is still cold outside.Keep up the great work.I'll be around.
 
G-Morning to all you green friends and may this be a beautiful day.BAR I wanted to aks you something.In my place we most do it outdoors(Im next to Adriatic see).For the moment the temps are about 60-70(with a little help).I got smome Critical seeds but Im waiting for them wanted only to test run 2 seeds(unknown fast flowering seeds I think) from my "magical" plants on my balcony hahahha like your tree only that these I smoked and throw and thay both sprouted on about 10/5 days ago and now I have my 2 babies.Warrior(couse some days aftr it sproted she got in a fight and nearly broke the stem hahahaha) and Junior cause hes...small hahahaha.Warrior had some days rest but now is doing Ok.Both are going slowly due to temps and light but thats what I want.Now my idea is to keep them healthy and alive and see how all this turns out,maybe when teps get higher it will grow like neverseen hahahahaha I wish:Namaste:.Its fun and Im going for it.Any tips for keeping them outdoor but healthy...anything?Oh yeas this is my first private "grow".Ive helped and took part in outdoor things but never my own.Been 10 years smoking and now I'm getting there and maybe in very near future start a real grow:circle-of-love:.Can I count on your support couse I really need some.Ou BAR I wanted to say so ething.I have a little doughter too and it's the best feeling in the world so we are all the time between family and plants hehehehe what a great way to start the day.After Im gonna get some pics for you.Cheeeeers.
