New City Grower 3.5 - Our Perpetual Grow - Continued

Thanxx Chief Rocker. Hey Pita, did you ever get to the bottom of the issue with your plant?

:nomo: Morning Broke Ass... It is supposed to be up in the 40's today so hopefully some of this stupid ice will get out of here... I stayed in bed till almost noon hoping I would be able to see the road when I got up... :thedoubletake:....They have put the whole dang state in a state of emergency..... At least I didn't have to worry about the girls getting to cold all night long again.... I had been getting up every night and keeping the wood stove loaded cause the heat pump just wouldn't keep up..... Had one night it did get below 60 in the big tent so hopefully it won't muck em' up to bad and they look healthy and happy so I guess it was such a short time it didn't do any damage.... Hope your having a wonderful Sunday....:circle-of-love:

Thanxx Chief Rocker. Hey Pita, did you ever get to the bottom of the issue with your plant?

Thanks for asking! :thanks:

Not exactly. I think it is/was a combination of things. First was likely PH but as I corrected that, I got some nutrient burn. I'm still trying to get it dialed in. Now I take readings of my runoff with each watering. I've gotten it to 6.0 PH, so I think I'm OK there. What really surprised me is the runoff TDS was reading 1050 to 1550 depending on which plant. Those numbers are way higher than anything I've ever fed them. For now, I'm just flushing with water until that number comes down. Hopefully I'm on the right track. This is all just in the last few days. Newest leaves look good but still losing random leaves near top, bottom and middle that are light green/chlorosis with burnt tips and edges. To make things worse, I flipped them last week. I'll need the space coming up in a couple of months so I'm to finishing these, cut my losses, even if they produce nada.

Dunno - I pretty well FUBAR'd my first grow. I need to start a journal for noob's, "What not to do". :;):

You know Pita, we've never checked ppm's nor do I really understand them. All the necessary info I've retained on the subject is that it's not as important in soil. Once I read that a few times I kind of dismissed the extra headache. A good idea for you would be to add your "Introduction Thread" to your signature & start posting updates with pics. This way members will find it & can see what efforts you've taken & what effects it's having. There's a lot of great members who just troll looking for someone to help.
Then once your ready you can start a full fledged Journal.

From -10 to 40, what a turn around Fifi.

Awesome idea! I'll try to put it together. :thumb:

How cool is that....fireEscapeFarms.com....who knew. They have an app or website for everything these days.....

Congrats on another awesome harvest.
If you like to grow other things on the fire escape, I recommend FireEscapeFarms.com. They carefully pick strains that can take the strange light and wind conditions usually found on fire escapes. Their leafy greens mix is awesome!
Thanxx for the recommendation Ranger. Just checked it out to make sure my plants weren't posted. LOL
They're doing Veggies & we're strictly Weed. A few members have asked "Why don't you try growing a little of this or that". Seriously?

If I had an acre of land where I could grow anything including weed without being bothered there wouldn't be corn, squash, tomatoes, carrots, or anything else. It would be an acre of Weed & maybe a few Lamb's Quarters to keep cleansing & replenishing the weed soil. The only other thing I want to grow is BETTER weed & we're working on that!

:rofl::rofl: BAR, your answers had me rolling on the floor :rofl::rofl:

For you newer members & those of you who weren't subbed last year take a look at our plant from the Fire Escape. She was nearly 5ft tall. We weren't always using Soda Pop Pots.

oh my gosh almighty......:rofl::rofl::rofl: You know what BAR....didn't you get that from gardenfairie...she was doing the same.....I was subbed but too shy to speak at that point.....I know you're thinking.....me......:rofl::rofl: but I remember seeing her pics and yours....

Nah, it was probably my plant posted on Brooklyn's thread (that's where she was from & what I called her). She lives in Colorado now & was a good 420 friend of mines.

Yep, that was it....she up and moved?????

I just dropped a Money Maker bean this morning, one of her favorite strains.

I have one to pop just like yours...... just don't think it is the proper time to do it as real estate is so full right now.... If I remember correctly she really didn't like it much though or there was some issue.... Or I could be totally thinking of something else but I have a couple of them actually that I need to pop the next go round if possible.... I have ended up with a couple of girls I hadn't planned on having.... I was asked to grow a mother and start an auto for "Dude" and he "borrowed" all the lights I wasn't using at the time until we could get his ordered but it seems I haven't been able to locate him since.... so I have 2 extra girls in this grow that have made it a very tight grow not to mention the Pure Kush clone I wasn't expecting when it all started..... I am really excited about a couple of the strains this round and actually I think they are all going to be quite good...... Sorry for the ramble... much tooo stoned....:lot-o-toke:......:circle-of-love:

Stoned is good, loaning your lamps is bad.
