Looks good BAR.

20ml / gal ? does that Organic need that much.
Plants under LED have a hunger for Cal/Mag Darkgrow.

20ml =
1 tablespoon/15ml
1 teaspoon/5ml

If you notice I've been adding a little more then a little less each feeding it's because I'm trying to get dialed into the precise dosage for these girls under the Spider 9 COB LED. KingJohnC uses 1 teaspoon/5ml under the Spider 4 COB LED.

If anyone thinks I'm going overboard with the Cal/Mag please, don't be afraid to say so. For me to OD my girls is one thing but to have someone else following in my footsteps & sending their girls to the Emergency Room would be something hard for me to live with.

Reg....i havent heard anybody use more than 2 tsp or 10ml per gallon....i personally havent used more than that.......i only use 5ml per gallon for my auto short ryders that are in organic soil.....i would just watch them....if they start to look stressed then just dial it back:).....i know not much help but i like hearing myself type:)lol

Knock it off Mr. Dreamz. All input is helpful. Whether in agreement or disagreement on any matter or point discussed in this journal, input is welcomed and encouraged. Isn't advice and discussing cannabis growing the forefront of :420:

Plants grown under LED light panels have a higher requirement for calcium and magnesium, I use Botanicare Cal-Mag Plus at 5 milliliters per gallon for the majority of the cannabis strains that I grow. I use Botanicare Cal-Mag Plus at 8-10 milliliters per gallon for cannabis strains that have higher calcium and magnesium requirements.

Re: New City Grower 3.0 - Sponsored by Twilight Group Co. - Featuring the Spider9 COB

I know that Cal-Mag issue and add 5 - 8 ml /gal but I also us 75% RO water.

I was asking because I follow 10+ LED journals for the last 6 month incl KingJohn, CO Finest, jon705, any Platinum grow and never saw more than 5 - 10ml/gal.
I learned in doubt stay more one the low side with nutes.

Re: New City Grower 3.0 - Sponsored by Twilight Group Co. - Featuring the Spider9 COB

So I'll follow the main stream & go back to 1 teaspoon/5ml again. If I start seeing any signs of Calcium or Magnesium deficiencies I'll slowly increase the dosage.
Also remember though, Spider Girl I is only being feed FF Big Bloom every 3rd feeding, which I don't think supply's any significant amount of Cal or Mag.
Spider Girl II isn't going to be feed anything but Cal/Mag.

Re: New City Grower 3.0 - Sponsored by Twilight Group Co. - Featuring the Spider9 COB

As am I. If I'm correct Big Bloom is the only completely organic product in the FF line up.

Re: New City Grower 3.0 - Sponsored by Twilight Group Co. - Featuring the Spider9 COB

That too is my understanding....and that is coming from the company....i have been on the phone with them a couple of times with ph questions and ppm questions......just so you know if you dont.....they test there nutes with tap water.......my ppms never reached the values they publish on there feeding schedule for hydro....i use r/o water....so solved that.....:)

Re: New City Grower 3.0 - Sponsored by Twilight Group Co. - Featuring the Spider9 COB

Driving thru. Not sure what everyone is growing in but I always like to add alittle bone/meal to my soil they have afew different recipes out there mine runs 3-15-0 with 25% calcium in a slow release form. Good for roots and even got some goodies for flowers. And it's pretty hard to OD on it. But I hear a good dose when you start flowering will help alittle on stacking your buds so I add alittle cal/mag also afew times during flower. Now I know it's no good for hydro but soilless it's a great amendment. Mix it like 60/40 mix of bone/blood meals for alittle veg food. I hardly ever make any veg fert's unless one looks hungry. We here have water that has so low a ppm count that there is no calcium in it period. When I first started growing here just about every plant had problem with cal/mag till I started adding it.

Yes Jesstar, here's my full bookmark:

If you have an over infestation you can use up to 3 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide & spray twice a day.

Thank you for that Reg. I'm getting ready to shift mine to a SIP system at the beginning of the month. The autos I'm growing will just be rolling into their second month by then. From my study of other grows it seems that a SIP watering approach eliminates the problem of gnats, and I can understand why. In the meantime I do have a couple of the little buggers flying around. No signs of infestation per se, but I'd like to keep the population down. Truth be told, this soil I'm using seems to be doing a decent job of keeping the populations down, though I can't really explain why.

I will make use of your spray recipe.

:Namaste:

Spider Girl II revealed it's sex this morning; It's the not so Amazing Spiderman. I'll take the next female that reveals herself and name it Spider Girl II; This one's trashed.
