I am
New to this community and so far I like what I see
I just started growing my plant so far it's been a week and a half and going
We'll, I have my seedlings under a 600w hps
My temp is fine humidity is a bit low but I can fix it, just wondering
What my
Next steps are I'm growing I mean nutes and when I should use and what kind that
Part I have no clue, but my plants right now are Really dark and look good
I just want to keep em

For my last go round i used alaskan fish fert with morbloom as my girls progressed. Depending on how familiar you are with plants you may want to go with vf-11. The nitrogen is low so no worry of root burn and short of over watering you cant really over feed with it. As for frequency of feeding, just follow manu. directions.

they sell the alaskan at most major stores and the vf-11 is getting pretty popular so look at maybe your hardware store gardening department. Now im know there are better ferts out there, but i have seen the results of both for the novice,(I got my first harvest last month) and they are good! If youre in the west part of the us, you should be able to find them at ace or truvalue hardware.

Well that got 1/2 the question!haha As for how often, with the alaskan, I fed every 2 weeks, although im sure people out there would feed more. But the vf-11, i've seen that used at every watering with no probs. The alaskan is a little nitro heavy, thats why im a little skittish.

okay ill prolly just use that every other day, so just use the alskin for veg stage and switch off nutes when i switch my lights to 12/12 ? ;0

personally i only use neuts unless my plant has a visible problem a la organic. I think I read somewhere (only take this at face value), but I believe someone suggested you wait until the plant is at least 2 weeks old before you introduce neuts. Anyways 600watts is a good choice in lights, but if you can find a 600w HM HPS conversion bulb (that is if your ballast is for hps like mine) [Note- Many good plants have been grown from seed to harvest under hps.] that would be best for veg growth as the light spectrum is preferred over the hps which is awesome for flowering.

So what is your ventilation setup?

If you put those babies in 3(+) gallon pots under a 18/6 light cycle (24/0 if auto flower) and water around every 3-4 days or as needed they grow on their own just fine. I give mine only what they need and they flourish. Biggest part of growing is learning that patience soon pays off. Around the 4th set of leafs you will need to look into FIM (Fuck I Missed) and or topping.

niceeee nice i feel like you just helped me out , ok well i water my plnts everyday and they still look decent i think i might not water them as much anymore but ill see as i go, im also starting 4 new plants too so I'm excited for all of them haha, and yes i will be putting some in bigger gallons or might just keep it how i have them idk ill see lol, and as far as my vent system i have not yet really set up its hard to explain but heat is not staying in the closet and the ac from the room keeps it good temp and humidity is 25+ but will be making some holes on my walls and after that my vent system will be good i will take pics once that is finished, but thanks for the help much is appriciated and i will ask lol,

oh and about the light i started them with the blue spectrum and recently got the hps so i just switched lights i think i will just use the hps just so i dont have two lights going on at the same time lol, save some money

Well if you have a HM (hps conversion) bulb you just take out your current hps bulb and put it in. When you get to flowering you put your hps bulb back in Anyways I'm so glad to be of help.

if your light is on a timer and just shuts off you can just yank the power or turn off your surge protector (if you don't have a Uninterrupted power supply unit / surge protector look into that). HTG Supply - AgroMax 600w Metal Halide Conversion Bulb There is your bulb and just plug er' in (Yeah they are quite a bit expensive, if you don't have the funds stick with that awesome hps bulb.)

no i have it 24/0 right now, i will be getting a timer, for the 12/12 process, but i will contact the provider of the lamp and ask if i can use that type of lamp but i dont see why not, but 100 smackurros i got my whole setup for 250 for HPS 600w the ballast and the lamp cover or whateer its called lol, On special hahah but i will take pics of everything tomorrow so u can see what im working with

As i am somewhat of a noob ( I just harvested my 1st crop that was just me, no hand holding by my teacher.) gleipnir i'm certain knows better. I have worked with plants for ages but was never able to start up. On the other hand, I've seen vf used as a root start because it is very gentle and some really amazing stuff. But once again, it sounds like gleipnir knows his stuff. And a question to gleipnir, short of mixing my own, can you recommend any soil compounds? Ive been using happy frog and have been AMAZED with the results, but always looking for the next best.

I would be happy to help with any growing questions. I've been growing for years now and provide to a few stores here in co. I recommend using fox farm soil or when you get there and if you have the room, making your own compost is great.

Nice vent setup and it's a breath of fresh air not to see a room covered in aluminum, but instead mylar Good lookin' plants too. Good luck my man just make sure to start up a grow journal because when those buggers get the ball rolling they will take off like a rocket.

yah i would get fox farm too but the closest hydroponics store is an hour away lol, but yah i actually have a question, everytime i water my plants the soil keeps getting tighter therefore my plants go lower in the bucket how can i avoid this? thanks pueblochris

hahah i just transplated one of my plants and it was scary i almost destroyed it but its sitting looks happy but well see how it re acts in a couple of days, i also used super thrive when i transfered it heard good things on it but idk see how it goes :0 , but thanks mylar rocks hahah, weird we both posted at the same time lmao
