Hey Van - by many reports the Arizer Extreme Q comes close to the quality of the Volcano at a much lower price point.

I freaked when I first saw how much good vapes were. I ended up getting a Solo (also Arizer) for so much more than I could’ve imagined spending on a toking device. Never looked back. I can’t imagine things without it now. I’m on a very small fixed pension, right, and I’d go without for as long as it took to get another one if this one failed!

Two big pluses... no smoking ... and no stinky smoking debris or paraphernalia. Not to mention the connection you get with the flavour of the terpenes and flavonoids you get. I can taste the details and differences of each different plant.
I like to vape a bit as it’s warming up to capture those early flavours... mmm

Is the Extreme Q a portable one or a stationary one? I have been thinking of saving up for a volcano but if there is something else comparable that is cheaper, I am all for it!
 
IMO, the Extreme-Q is the best value for the buck for a desktop unit. I've used several, all highly rated. The EQ has the ability to bag or whip. I use mine for both as my 75yo mother prefers the bag, but I use the whip myself. Pack the screen in the glass elbow with a nice grind and just draw through the whip. Mine is about 3' long and it cools the vapor perfectly.

For portables, I can say without question, the best flavor in any of the portable vapes is from the Solo. I got one and it was great. So great I had to get another just in case so I'd not be without it. Then I got a Mighty...love, love, love my mighty.

Yes I’ll be keeping the Jamaican, I don’t smoke it very often but it’s my strain for making bio bomb pills. I’ll be keeping the cannatonic too. Anything I’ll have a hard time letting go I’ll make sure it gets passed around.

I use a bong almost exclusively to top off my edibles. I watched a class on vaporizers once and they explained that you have to give it two weeks of exclusive use and then the body will adjust and you'll get higher with vaporizers than you will with combustion.

Problem is, I like the buzz from my bong, and I'm not willing to fight my way through two weeks. Lol! So all this time I use the vaporizer when there's no other good option, and supplement with something I incinerated with a flame. Old habits die hard. I still hold my hits for a moment before exhaling too, and we've known better for over three years now. :rofl:

I can share that the 2:1 Jamaican is a regular in my own garden. The BIL discovered it, and it's become the chemovar I give him for daytime use, so he's cut back on the Carnival to just a couple hits in the evening.

I mean, when a few hits of Carnival has you stumbling into the walls, maybe it's not the daytime med for you, eh? :rofl: He finds the Jamaican the perfect buzz for his days, light and mellow and softening his bipolar view of the world to something lovely, or as lovely as he'll allow himself to feel.

When my daughter vapes the Jamaican she always takes that first hit and sighs "Ahhh.....there it is."

I don't have enough experience with it. I shy away from anything not roaring sativa anymore, but I have a Jamaican cob that I'll be testing before I head off to Californa. It might turn out to be something I can use. More likely I'll share it with Jgrow. He's rather fond of the Jamaican too.

I'll share that I've had two tabletop models, excellent ones that were either gifts or prizes, as well as over 10 smaller models, again, all gifts or prizes, and I don't really use a single one of them. I've given most away. The daughter uses one of the DiVincis and loves it, although she's terrible about keeping the thing clean. I grow resin-rich plants that gum the hell out of her vape. Keeping it clean is a constant challenge for her.

Ok, I'll be honest here.....a challenge for me to keep clean. Lol!
 
I have a solo air 2 for vaping. I've got to admit, I don't use it very often as the buzz just doesn't match smoking. However, loading up the two stems, clipping it to my belt and having a nice inconspicuous vape is very handy when I go out.

The two weeks consistently using just it, to adjust does sounds interesting. I may have to try that at some point. I do like my combustion though.

They only vape that gave me as intense of a feeling as smoking was my brother's volcano. But I can't see dropping 500 bones on it. I just use the bong unless I only need a little hit to take the pain's edge off and in that case the Kind Pen Tru Va is ok. I think I will look into the one you guys were talking about above. Perhaps try that out.
 
I like the solo’s design, the glass chamber/mouth piece that is removable, must be a lot easier to clean. I also like that there are two of them, so you can preload a couple and head out for the night. Just watched the vid on their site. Thanks for the heads up Gov. Might have to pick one up.

I have the Trueva mini+. I like it but the chamber is small, and a little fickle to clean, which you need to do before you repack.

I agree, incinerating my herb gives the strongest effect. My 24” bong that holds a dozen ice cubes in the mouth piece gives a nice cold creamy hit, that leaves a memorable terp profile on your taste buds.

Everytime I stop by your journal Neiko, I always intrigued by your strains from Ace....well this time I had enough...I placed an order with them...need to start diving into the landrace sativas and crosses. Thanks for all the info and sharing you do!

Nice man! Ok I'll let the cat out of the bag. I just got approved to be a test grower for ACE. They are sending me my 1st batch of seeds. Some new Malawi Hybrids and some new Dutch Haze hybrids. That's why I'm clearing out my back log of keepers. I've sent most of them out into the world so if I ever miss them I'm sure someone will help me out.
