Neikodog's 1st High Brix Multi-Strain

I wanna smell your plant....creepy!!! Lmao!!!

Scrubby it smells so f'n good! I can't place the smell though (I'm terrible at that, describing tastes too) but it just smells like a bunch of fruit. Very sweet and thick, if you brush against them like I did to give her a haircut you get sticky oily goo all over. I'm just blown away with what the kit did for this strain. You are more than welcome to come smell my plant Scrubby as long as I can come smell yours lol.

Hey brotha...top of the day to ya...that girl of yours...that TG has made me an even stronger believer in DBHBB. I have heard alot of bad shit from growers who have tried to grow it with miserable results....very finicky or something...dunno but yours is really liking our soil ...very interesting ...i havn't made a decision yet ,on what will get my GR next, after my Desfrans. Just sayin...it's gonna work out cuz youl'e prolly be able to give me a report on her...excellent. Have a great night my friend. Gotta grab a puff here somehow ....got the boys ,,so... lil trickey. OH , i know , i'l just puff some bubble in my workshop...ya baby...who's your daddy!:high-five:

Yep this strain was meant for the kit evidently. I have so many I want to grow and not enough room. Unfortunately it won't be in the next round. Plus I just ordered more f'n seeds from ACE. I do have my eye on the Red Dragon from Barney's Farm for a hybrid that isn't too frankenstiened.

duggan, try a couple of African sativas.. that will learn ya! :)

Here is a shot with low f-stop to show you what I was talking about. If I had it at a high f-stop it would of had all the other leaves in focus also. This way the part you are trying to show off jumps out and doesn't blend into all the other leaves etc.

Hey Neiko How do you keep you Easy load bowls cleaned, mine are all kinds of resened up at this point, Do you soak them in alcohol or something? I tried turning it up all the way and doing some empty hits and it helped a little but not really :)

Thanks dood :passitleft:

Oh also if you have a high mm lens I think you said you have a 200mm? You can get a cheap set of extension tubes there about 100 bucks that will turn that thing into a monster zoom macro lens so you can take super close ups of tricomes etc :thumb:

Extension tubes huh? I'll look into it. I tried to use the camera for the update but it wouldn't take the pic. The lighting must have been too low. I would aim at the plant, push the button 1/2 way down and it would never beep like it does when it focuses, when I pushed it all the way down it wouldn't take a pic. I would aim at something else and it would do what it was supposed to do. I got frustrated and used my phone. I just need to take the time and learn the damn thing.
As far as your bowls, just soak them in iso alcohol for a few hours, they will come out clean as a whistle. I also ordered 4 extra bowls from their website. I just leave a glass with alcohol in it and drop the bowl in it to soak and use a new one. I think Shrike cleans his daily. I don't do it that often.

Hey....uh....can I smell your girl's tops? :hmmmm::laughtwo:

Right on thanks. I haven't cleaned mine at all yet so you can imagine what they're like by now

I assume you were trying to take night time pics or really low light when it wouldn't take the shot? If so make sure you have the flash turned on, ie popped up already. Mine uses a little yellow light to help it auto focus in low light but I still need to turn the lamp on in the room to get enough background light to be able to see what i'm doing and for it to be able to see enough to focus. It's probably just not able to gather enough light to autofocus and since it can't focus its not letting it take the picture. Also if it fails to get a focus it will give up and you need to let off the button and try again or it's gonna stay in I gave up mode

Also look and see if you have any bracketing settings on your camera. I use single point autofocus so I can move the focus box to exactly where I want it and I have bracketing set to measure on the focus point not the entire picture. Bracketing is basically the part of the picture where it takes its lighting / exposure measurements from. By focusing that on your focal point instead of the entire frame it helps with all the background light not jacking up the exposure measurement :thumb:

Hey Smokey...

I usually used each of the ELB's 3 times (had 6), then threw it in a plastic container...when I was down to the last one, then I poured in some 91% ISO and soaked them overnight. Rinsed them in hot water the next day, let them air dry and they always come out like brand new.

You might want to wash them more often, as they need to be clean enough to have the heated air swirling through them properly to get the full affect from the EVO. :thumb:

Smokey, thanks for all the tips on the camera, I will practice with it and get the feel for it.

I emailed Luis at ACE seeds and asked him if he could identify the phenotype of Tikal I have. He was very impressed with the flower to leaf ratio and commented on how lovely she looked. Overall he is very impressed with it especially at what stage of flower it is at. He identified the pheno as a Guatemalan/Old Haze which is the more Sativa pheno (go figure with the kit hey). We'll see how she turns out but I was hoping for one of the other 2, never know though the kit could be fooling him.

From the ACE breeder's pack description:
F2 Guatemala/Old Haze Tikals: These Tikals come from the first generations of the hybrid, displaying a more Guatemala sativa landrace profile and with higher influence of the Haze used in the first breeding step of the hybrid. This line shows older and less refined woody and incensey aromas. It has a clean and refreshing effect of medium potency without physical sluggishness that reminds you of a good thai. The structure is lankier and taller compared with the more recent generations. Average yield and flowering time of 11-12 weeks.

Weekly Update: Everything is cruising right along now. I think I got some better pics with the camera this week. I just can't seem to get anything I like picture wise on the Tikal, she is so tall it is tough to get much of the plant in the view finder. Anyway we'll just run with it this week and next week that will be my mission to get something good of her. Have a great Sunday gang.

Ooooo, that Tangerine Dream looks beyond tasty neiko. I'm sorry you don't get the time you want with your garden. I can so relate. I'm stealing minutes myself, too few and far between for my taste. Priorities.

Despite your forced neglect everything is moving along well. You have to love the effects of the kit, don't you?

Have a great day neiko.

TD is still looking awesome!

Awesome neiko, can i ask what amounts of drenches are you givi your choco.......I gave mine 7 ml of cat and .7ml of tea on thurs, and it may have been to much......her leaves aren't as happy as yours.......I'll throw some pics up in a minute.......oh yeah about how much water are they drinking.......:)

I have only drenched them once and it was transplant at 5ml transplant .3-.5ml tea. I plan on hitting them with CAT tomorrow and will do 5ml CAT and .3-.5 tea. As far as water goes, they get a gallon each on Monday and then split a gallon on Thursdays. That seems to be just right. The newer growth is perfect. When I trim them up I will get rid of the old ugly leaves for sure.
