Natural Spirit's Multitasking Journal Of 2018

Then next spring we’ll plant seeds everywhere! Lol

It is promising to be a run with plenty of offspring woohoooo

Quite the pollen collection NS! Should last you a few years if it keeps that long. In the freezer with some plain uncooked rice to absorb moisture is best I think.

Rice? Oh my Ive put Some flower in it. I Did plan on using several methods to see How long Things last. Maybe I can do the flower in the fridge and the Rice in the freezer? Or would that just destroy the pollen?

Moisture is the enemy of pollen, so rice acts as a dehumidifier to keep it fresh. The flowers have a lot more moisture in them than the pollen itself, so I'd take the flower bits out and freeze the pollen alone.

The flower itself get tossed ... Its the flower to bake Bread. Now that you explain it Rice makes more sense..

LOL! Oh, you mixed it with flour! Spelling issue solved...still rice will help preserve it.

My bad! Lol

I just got another batch of pollen of This bad boy and This already got stored in the freezer with Some (bio) Rice.

One question.... the pollen... they spread in warm moments... so Wouldnt warm environments help them better? What I have been told is that it can travel Far... like 200-300km If Thats so they do it in warm climate right?

This is to wrap my brain around it :p

Oh and the pics!

I haven't heard anything temperature-related when growers talk about pollination, so I'm sure regular growing temps are fine.

Yeah that was kinda my point to When I tought about it.

Warm are holds moisture better than cold air, moisture is pollens worse enemy

That makes sense! I just tought the feeezer might add moist even If Its sealed properly. We Will see... it is possible that both ways work fine...
