Thanks! I can't wait to see the bugs fatten up. This is a pure sativa, what kind of flowering times should I expect? The nugs are looking fat just two weeks into flower to me. Lol. I'll post some new pics soon. They love the hps swap by the way. :D

I plan on doin my next grow on 12/12 from seed. Maybe a week of veg to get them strong. I've seen a lot o growers in here use 12/12 from seed. Including SteveHman. You should look at his grows. He uses minimum veg and LEDs. Very nice set up and way too many led lights for any mere human to compete.
 
So today I did tons of pruning. I took before pics yesterday, I will take afters tommorow and post all! I basically cut most of the fan leaves off because they where blocking other bid sites. After the trim it is honestly unbelievable how many buds there are.


Am I going to end up with a bunch of popcorn buds bc of the 25+ bud sites per plant? I cut all the smaller stuff that couldn't reach the light.
 
I know steve does a ton of clones, you sure he did some from seed 12/12??? I see the benefits of cloning looking at his forums, soooooo much faster, instead of vegging a seed for 2+ months, you could just have a dedicated mom room and cut her up, i might try to veg, then cut top off and clone top and have two plants to flower next grow.

I think you did a good job taking out the ones that wouldn't reach light, i did same with mine plus i didn't want wasted energy going to the small buds i rather the energy be focused on my main buds even if its just a couple of huge buds. I think your LST/Scrog will yield well for you. How many days into flower now???? How big is your pot size too???

I am exactly three weeks into flower. Nervous about deciding when to harvest later. I don't know how long this strain is supposed to go, I got the clones at wonderland collective in LA and they didn't know anything. Just that its a sativa... Lol

Also I am using 5 gallon hempy buckets. I put the plants in the buckets as soon as the roots started poking out in the glad container. Could I end up root bound from staying in the 5 gal for 4 months? Seems big but next time I will do progressive sized containers to help the roots.
 
Yes Nate, i agree. you figure the healthier and more established your plant is in veg the better it will be when it comes to flower. I have mine in 3 gal geo pots, i love these pots, have used them many times before with good results, i had them in 3 gal because i didnʻt want these plants to get too out of control, next grow i could do one plant in a 7 gal and the other in a 5 gal, and possibly get another 200wDS if possible otherwise get a vertical hanging T5 and rotate plants to get light source. Im itching to start a new one already but i donʻt have a small tent to start vegging in while flowering, only a 4x4x8 which is too big to deal with and im lazy.

as for your sativa strain i would go at least 70 days as a bench mark, im in day 35 and i have at least another 30 more to go minimum, i usually do sativa strains, however, now that i quit smoking and only can do it once in a blue moon i wish i had some indicas for faster flowering and just to relax and sleep since if i take a hit at night im gonna wanna do a project or something since im so amped initially.
 
I wish I had a 4x4x8! My 4x4 filled up pretty quick! And I agree, I would love if the plants where ready for flower right when I harvest, but I only have the equipment that I put in the first tent. So far $800 on my first grow! Hoping next time it will be much much less. :|

Why did you quit? I actually quit smoking on the 2nd too, but because I was fired from my job. :/ hoping to get a new job by harvest. I won't be able to resist my own first crop! Plus I got bills to pay!
 
Totally agree on the not resisting part i know i wont be able to, at least it wont be for a while.

I quit (or taking long breaks in between) because of my job, too much to loose and its a very good stable job, i was fighting the system and burning quite a bit and diluting myself every morning before work which gets tiring after a while, waking up 2 hrs earlier and drinking lots of water.

I tried doing the research for my gov employment and even tho MJ is legal for medical use here my job will not recognize it which pissed me off since Oxy would be ok with a legal perscription but their stance is that the feds dont recognize it (which i stated that this was not a fed job so........what......you know what i mean, its like your employer over stepping their boundary as a boss to tell you what meds you can and cannot take, and regardless they are still not catching people "high" on the job, they are not testing for impairment which to me is what drug testing should be for not what you took days ago but are you loaded right now. anyways, i donʻt want to go on and on rambaling about this BS (new years res be more calm). Take some more shots i wanna see, i bet it is filling up that tent now, looking good so far.:bravo:
 
Awesome set up! I've wanted to do a Scrog but no space for it now. I like how low the screen is to the pots. And for root bound plants you should be fine. I had my mom going in a 5 gallon now for a good 6-7 months /: haha just got around to changing it out last night :D

Here's to your 800$ well spent!:bravo:

Honestly I feel like I should have fucked up more in the beginning. I'll cry if I screw it up at the end. Lol. And ya I have an iPhone with forum runner so I am on here a couple hours a day. Learning learning. I read all of stevehman's grows completely before I started so that's like having a couple under my belt right? Hahaha jk.
 
Hey everyone,

finally the update i promised.. :]

So three big changes since last pics.. I did a big defoliation to celebrate three weeks of flower!

I also started growing waterbottles! one per plant. They happen to lead down to 1/2in blue tubing roots that circle the plant, enabling me to water them even with the damn screen in the way!

Lastly, and this one i need help with.. I added my carbon filter to complete the set-up, but it cause my temps to go from 82-84 to 86-88... I bought the whisperline panasonic 4in which is 200 cfm but they don't make a more powerful version of the 4 in... how can i lower temps for minimal money in my set-up?


AND PICS!! sorry for the hps lines... I'll have to get some soon with the light off, and i will do close-ups then. Hopefully by the end of this weekend..
