Natedogg's Grow! Gelato & Purple Kush, Monster Cropped Clone Taffie x GG#4, Will Be Flowering Under Mars Hydro TSW3000 In 5x5

Here we are! Week 3 of flower!

The buds are forming and the stretch is on its last legs! See what I did there?? The ladies are looking very healthy. I did find some balls on one of my Gelatos under the canopy level. I think possibly the light from several devices in the tent that I have since covered with black tape may have caused it.

The buds are taking shape. A very pungent odor is definitely present now. It smells fruity and skunky. One of my favorite combinations. Having 3 different strains means having a canopy that's not the easiest to manage due to being all different hights.

Here we are at week 8 or week 4 of flowering cycle. Starting to see some resin production and the buds are looking nice.

The Purple Kush's are growing some slightly mutated leaves. I'm not sure what causes this but they're on both plants. Primarily under the canopy level.

As usual I welcome any feedback or advice from knowledgeable growers. Thanks to the very few who follow along.

Just a quick peak of the Purple Kush at the beginning of week 9. Crop King says it and the Gelato are 8-10 week strains. That worries me because they look like they should go a full 12 weeks. I hope we pack on some volume and soon!

Week 5 of flowering is nearly gone and the girls are progressing wonderfully. The tent smells nothing short of amazing. As a direct result of advice from our members, my plants are growing prefectly.

The Gelato is looking pretty. I wish the other one didn't hermie on me and meet an unfortunate demise.

So I thought I should include this in the grow journal seeing it is very relevant. I have always pointed oscilating fans on my plants. Just enough so that the leaves fluttered. I do not try to create gale force winds but I will say that some strains can handle a good blow job where as others are not so fond of it. My Purple Kush and Gelato's are only are a few I've seen where a fan oscilating on low causes premature reddening of the pistils. I have had to reposition them as to lessen the exposure to the wind. It's a good thing I decided to grow out that monster cropped Taffie x GG4. I know it can handle a good breeze so I placed it next to the fan. I know it won't blow away because I staked the hell out of it! :bongrip: :peace:

Here we are again! Smack dab in the middle of week 6 of flowering. I am surprised that Crop King's Purple Kush would differ so much between 2 different seeds. They both smell amazing!!

The monster cropped Taffy x GG4 clone has considerably smaller buds at this point but I think it's a 12 week strain so it has more time to bulk up.

Everyone is getting a full dose of Fox Farms trio at every watering. I started supplementing cal-mag as 2 of the plants have started showing a slight calcium and magnesium deficiency. It is so min or at this stage that it can only be seen with the naked eye. I haven't given them straight water since veg and when I did, they started showing signs of deficiency. I'm a proud member of the "no flush" club! I may stop the nutes during the last week just on old school superstition but we'll see!

I am getting excited about outdoor growing season. I plant to build a 12 ft tall greenhouse like shelter with wood framing and plastic on my deck this spring. This will help to keep it legal as well as protect the plants from the rain. My outdoor plants are already vegging in the 3ft x 2ft tent. They are going to be so huge when they go outside, I'm going to have to transplant into 20 gallon pots!

These ladies are at week 7 of flowering. Crop King says they are 8-10 week strains. That being said, we are 1-3 weeks away from harvesting. Judging by the amount of white pistils I still see, I'm going to guess that they will go a full 10 weeks. Hopefully not longer!
