N420 Grows Barney's Farm Orange Sherbert & Special Guests

For my sins I am a lazy fucker. I have not even had to ph with the nft and mega crop !! Drop 30 l of mix in the res with sterile res product silver roots. And then when the pump is starting to suck air , I do the same again and that's it !!. Boring as shit.lpl the trays are self supporting and draining so the runoff goes straight back in and creates a curtain of churning g water which drags air into the res water . Small fish tank water pumps and very little electric consumption
My nft are only 40L but enough for 3 plants at a squeeze and are approx 5ft x 2ft in size and about 1ft tall. Ideal for if you need to go away and leave them running too. Easy to add a barrel with release valve to top up the tanks as the levels drop too. No light can get into the root zone and all needed is a Rockwell cube for the lady to start rooting into the routing mat. I used these for years prior to joining 420 with no issues and only changed due to so many new ideas and systems claiming to be "sent by God for growing beanstalks that Jack would be proud of " !!. I decided to re run these for old times sake and have not regretted it at all. K.I.S.S has all tou need mate. Works with any dwc product and has done my girls proud so far and my system is old and hammered. Lol
Only got a week left now too.

Haha scaring me off, maybe I should wait until my lighty is a bit older and he can help me haha

Having a young kid coco tends to even be a mission and get to feeds late. So Im glad I know it's a lot of work

Thanks @Grand Daddy Black
NFT for simple and easy hydro that takes care of itself. A well forgotten system that works but without all the bells and whistles to pull , push and honk in the right order like dwc can be. Sterile res , mix and repeat each ti e it get used up. No air stones , no air pump noise , no spills from fallen or blocked pipes. Tiny fish tank pumps that consume very little power. No light in the root zone, no lifting lids risking root damage to check . Come take a look at how boring and simple this system is on my grow in my sig. I have tried lots of different ways but this is so simple and stress free it becomes dull.lol

I like dull! I will definitely check it out. :Rasta:

Thanks for sharing your system Gg! Does sound quite simple to run and the plants definitely seems to like it, looks like it will be a fantastic yeid coming out of your room.

Sorry for my sudden disappearance but I broke my phone on Sunday and I'm waiting for a replacement. I hope the new phone will be here this week just not sure when it will show up. For now I'm using my daughters tablet, it's painfully slow and it's pretty hard to pry it out of her hands lol. Probably won't do any updates until I get the new phone because the camera on the tablet is pretty bad and I probably shouldn't fill up her tablet with pictures of my plants lol.

Hey everyone it's been awhile since I've been on the site, finally got my phone no thanks to the painfully long process with the warranty from a big box store who shall not be named, the drama isn't completely over yet but at least I am able to get back on here with my grow buddies. I'll be making my rounds to your grows soon I'm sure I've missed a bunch.

Anyway let's see how the auto ladies are fairing shall we.
All the Dwc girls are flowering now. I wasn't sure what to expect as far as stretching with these girls as these are my first indoor autos and I've got to say I'm quite pleasantly surprised. Of course they didn't get nearly as big as the photos I've grown in the past but most of them still are a pretty decent size.

Tangiematic is continuing to be the strongest and fastest growing of all of the auto crew and has 8 main branches that have made there way to the top of the canopy. She is drinking like a fish, she has been the fastest drinker of any Dwc plant I've grown and hope she keeps up this pace as we get deeper into flower.

Purple Lemonade is the smallest of the bunch and is very tightly packed, I am a little concerned about how much foliage she has because of the possibility of mold as I haven't removed any leaves from her at all. I haven't seen anything concerning yet but it goes against what I normally do with my plants but from what I read you shouldn't do any leaf stripping on autos because you can stunt them but not entirely sure where I stand on the subject. One exciting thing about her is she is pushing out purple flowers!!! I can't wait to see how she looks in a few weeks.

Pineapple Express is looking quite nice and has recovered nicely from her earlier root troubles. I didn't end up training her at all because I didn't want to stress her anymore so she ended up with that classic Christmas tree shape with one main cola and some good size secondary branches. She is a bit further ahead in flowering then her sisters just because she started earlier and I'm pretty happy with her development.

Purple Punch is quickly becoming my favorite plant in the tent. She started out small to start with branches closely packed together but has absolutely exploded over the last couple of weeks! She has stretched to 3 times her size from a week ago and has formed a pretty nice canopy even though I haven't trained her at all. She has taken the longest to get herself into flower but I can tell she will be worth the wait.

Well that's about it for me grow buddies I'll be sure to get caught up on your journals soon.

Good to see ya N! I was just wondering about you the other day. Popped back on here and saw - oh yeah, he broke his phone! Lol. Good luck dealing with the phone stuff. Ladies are lookin good, and just to note, I usually defoliate my autos at least a little for airflow. Happy you’re back again :ciao:

Glad you are back, N420! The autos look sweet. :thumb:

Hey Hh! Happy to be back and I'm really glad to see you! Ya the phone...Mrs. N wasn't to pleased with me lol. I dropped it on the road out in front of the house and turned it into a brick lol. The warranty is kind of a joke in my opinion, I pay monthly for it which I'm fine with but they wanted me to pay an extra $200 to get my phone replaced even though I've paid the value of the phone in monthly payments for the last 2 years! So I've sent them the phone and now they say if it was accidental damage they will charge me some more...Of course it was an accident I didn't break it on purpose!!!
I'm gonna follow your advice I think and take a few leaves at the bottom of the plant at the very least can't see any harm in that.

Thanks Gdb! Good to see ya bud. I'm pretty happy with the autos particularly Purple Punch who knew from her humble beginnings what she would grow up to be!

She did develop nicely. Autos tend to do that, or not.

Friggin insurance!! :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
It’s become a joke at our house - I got a phone for my bday (years ago) and cancelled the insurance right away. But any time Mr H ‘tossed’ me my phone or flipped it out of my hand, I‘d shout “babe, I don’t have the protection plan!!!” It’s to the point now that he says it as he’s doing it or if I drop it “be careful, you don’t have the protection plan!!!” Lol. Anyway, I hope you can get it resolved soon.

Great looking garden N4! Beautiful. :bravo:

I bought a phone just recently from a Big Box store, which happens to have the same initials as Big Box, for delivery. Three weeks later it arrived. Three weeks and one day it was returned. I went to a smaller staple size store and picked the same phone up in 30 minutes. I love those big box places for more than just the customer service.

Thanks Mr.S appreciate it my friend!

That's funny the store that I'm having the issues with has the Bb initials too. Took a week to get mine they shipped it from Ontario and I live in Bc so that's not so bad I guess but my damaged phone got to them in a day so there's that...My biggest issue with the whole thing is I shouldn't have to pay anything after all the monthly payments they should just replace it if you have paid the equivalent value of the phone at the time of the warranty claim... I mean seriously what the hell am I paying for every month the privilege to give them more money if something happens! I would get it if I only had the phone for a few months but I've had it a lot longer than that. I never buy warranties for things and this just proves why I don't.

I bought a Galaxy Interstellar A10e which is an unlocked phone. It has a smaller screen but was under 200.00. Now I just pay 25 a month for a gig of data, nationwide calling anytime and unlimited text international. For me it was the best option.

Nice, that's a pretty good deal $25 for calling and data you can't go wrong. Welcome to the dark side Mr.S lol.

Hey 420, I haven't been doing a very good job of updating but I have some Promix plants on the go too! Was a bit rusty at dealing with these ladies at the start because I haven't done a Promix grow in about 6 months. They got a bit over watered at the beginning but I let them dry out and they bounced back nicely.

Pineapple Express

She been the happiest of all the Promix plants from the beginning haven't done any training yet but thinking I will in the next few days. I'm really bad at keeping track at how many days old these are but they aren't flowering yet so...

Bluedreamatic

She started out the smallest and I accidental crunched her with my arm when I was trying to get a pic of one of her sisters lol. Once she got going she has been pretty happy again no training or flowering but both will start soon.

Purple Lemonade

This girl took off out of the gate really quickly which is the opposite of her Dwc sister who grew fairly slow during her veg period. The Promix girl got a bit stretched out I think from not giving her enough light at the right time. I've pulled her main top over to get her to bush out a bit more and I'm pretty happy with the results.

Purple Punch

She is growing nicely so far I'm really liking the structure of this strain they seem to side branch a fair amount without any intervention which is nice for the lazy grower like myself. I haven't trained her yet but will be doing it soon with the rest of the Promix crew in the next day or 2.

That's all for now happy growing everyone!

Good to see the PE taking off :thumb:
Looking good N4! Enjoy the weekend!!!
Thanks Mr.S! I'm happy I was able to drop another PE seed after the root issues I had with the Dwc PE which is growing nicely but I'd like to see how one does that doesn't get stressed into an early flower.
Today the me and the fam are going to check out a friends lake property, we are gonna go camping there in about a month for my oldest daughters birthday. She loves camping and since we can't have a party for her bday we thought this would be a good compromise!
