N420 Grows Barney's Farm Orange Sherbert & Special Guests

bamg on the thinking mate. you will be amazed at their initial growth rates. quite scary on a photoperiod mind set. you will love the experience but dont be afraid to train as I was. I got a bit off popcorn as I didnt want to remove anything in case recovery was affected. I regret not doing and know it would have stoked those biggies even more. Good luck mate. excited to follow along
Going to use this as a tip on my own grow. The auto I planted is called " Super Dense Auto" from @New420Guy Seeds . Looks like a massive yielder....I would have been afriad to do anything to the plant lol

That's great Gg you answered another question I won't be afraid to train them and do some thinning as they get bigger. Happy too have you follow along hope to get some beauty buds like you got on your run!

Looks like a great strain. I know the photo Hashplant is a pretty awesome strain my brother in law grew one years ago and it was some of the strongest stuff I've smoked.

I'll let you know how it goes. It started off all mutated looking....it took her alot longer then photos to get it together. But after a few days it's growing pretty fast. I started it off in a Solo cup so I think I'll move her this weekend where if it were a photo, I'd let it grow about 10 days average before up-potting. I figured if there was going to be any stress, get it out of the way now instead of later. I wasnt going to top it or anything. I was going to just let it do it's thing.

Ya I'd be interested to see how it works out for you. I'm probably gonna do Lst training on my auto's to try to get as many tops as I can. I usually top my photo's and I know people do it with auto's but probably won't for my first shot at them.

Hey Prof good to see you buddy! I was thinking they meant from seed when I read it. I'm leaning towards Pro Mix and Mega Crop for the simplicity and pretty confident my buddy can figure out how to pour some water on some dirt every couple of days and not have to worry about ph and ppms. I know what you mean about being nervous about auto's it's the fear of the unknown and if you make a mistake with photos you just veg them a bit longer auto's just do what they want!
I've not decided what to run the Autos in just yet but if the round which I'm just beginning goes well then it may be coco and MegaCrop. I thought I'd give bottom feeding coco with a weekly flush a go. Seems simple enough. Remember that sentence
Is that a hint about the new journal:cool:
Just have a few loose ends to tie up first

That sounds really Interesting. By bottom feeding do you mean a flood and drain table setup? I hope it goes well for you I'm sure it will and I'll be tuned in to see how it goes.

Day 65 since the flip and I must say I'm pretty much on track to harvest the Pog when Barney's said they should be done. On my last thricome check they were mostly cloudy that was a couple of days ago gonna pull out the macro lens for the phone tonight and see if I can spot any ambers.
These girls are flopping everywhere now that we are just around the corner from harvest. I've used up all the yo yo's that I ordered and in hindsight I should have ordered double of what I did.

I know I said before I would pull them out to take a few individual shots but with their size and having buds flopping everywhere it's way to big of an ordeal and I probably wont be able to get them back in the tent lol. When I pull them out to harvest I'll try to get some individual shots.

Getting a really nice fade on some of the Blueberry Og leaves they look quite pretty.

Still dealing with PM with the baking soda spray it's keeping it relatively contained I do have it on some of the bigger sugar leaves and when Iook closely I can't see any on the buds themselves. I may try a bud wash with these before I trim as a precaution.
Few bud shots to finish off

Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

No, I mean literally pouring water into the tray that they are sitting in and letting them soak it up from the bottom. I'm not doing it to my current grow yet as the roots are still settling in to the new pots and probably don't even reach the bottom yet. You need to give them a flush every now and then to wash out and reset the pots nutrient strength and PH. Its an easy alternative to coco's normally tedious watering regime. It can go wrong though and as I said is prone to salts building up and the PH going way off. I've been bottom feeding most of my plants for a while now. I had to because I added all that sand lol

Thanks Prof! That seems like a fairly simple system and sounds like it would be alot less work then then daily waterings. The reason I thought it was flood and drain is because there is a guy that I follow on YouTube that does flood and drain with coco in those pots that are made of coco and looks like it works pretty slick.

I’d definetly wash the buds at chop.
I'll definitely do that Penny. I've looked into it a bit and most people use lemon juice and baking soda in the first bucket then plain water in the other 2 buckets one cold and one hot.

You got it. :thumb: Some add a starting bucket with h2o2, you may consider it just because of the wpm. And the only little tweak is all buckets lukewarm or cold, something about hot water damaging the trichomes. But I think that’s a very good idea.

Still loving on the BOG...sorry POG! And I completely forgot to add your baking soda/Dr Bronners spray to my PM test. I'll put it on the list now. It's 1Tbs/gallon baking soda plus the regular 5Tbs/gallon for the Dr Bronners?

This ^ . I go with at least 1:3 with 3% H2O2. I don't even bother with the lemon juice/baking soda bucket.

Same, I just use the H2O2 first bucket.
Do you not use the other buckets at all? I've only been using a 2 bucket system. The first has baking soda and lemon juice and the second is just cool water. I change the second bucket several times during the wash and change the first based on how it looks.

Oh yeah! That’s what I do too :high-five:

Thanks Hh! I wasn't sure about dipping my buds in hot water. Warm and cold water it is and I will definitely use H202.

Thank you Shed. I'm with you there is something about the Bog I'm pretty excited about haven't had a blueberry in a while.

Ya your right it's 1 tablespoon of baking soda to a gallon of water and the regular dose of Dr. Bonner's. The only thing about the baking soda spray is you have to treat the plants every other day if you want a chance to control it. I'm really looking forward to the results of the test!

That's what I think I'll do a H2O2 bucket and a cool rinse bucket. Thanks again for all the great responses everyone
