N420 Grows Barney's Farm Orange Sherbert & Special Guests

:ciao: Hey Vg good to see you hope your having a good day. It's a snow day here we got a big dump of snow last night and all the schools and daycares are shut down. Unlike the rest of the country we never get snow so everything shuts down here.
Ah ha...This must be Vancouver! Everyone driving around on bald all seasons.
Weak...like the Ukraine.

Your close but I'm in Victoria. But you nailed the description of what it looks like here when it snows.

I can't wait to see the Purple Lemonade. I bet it's gonna be beautiful. Good to hear you enjoyed the snow. What I'd do for some snow right now. It's just been torrential rain for about 5 days now. Cold rain. Wet rain. Rain rain.

Cheers Prof. I am really looking forward to the Purple Lemonade as soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to grow it. I think the buds will look awesome I have always wanted to grow a purple strain and I don't think she will disappoint.
We had fun yesterday in the snow I couldn't keep the kids out of it. We usually see snow once a year normally we get nothing but rain all winter so I can understand where your coming from. The snow is already melting away because it's been warmer today which I'm thankful for as I'm drying the Gz right now and with the cold temps in the garage it's taking forever to dry.

Hey 420 hope everyone is well this morning and are enjoying the start to their weekend.

The last time I updated I said I would leave the girls for 2 weeks then put them into flower. That plan has changed I've decided to move the flip party forward and do it tomorrow. These ladies are getting too big and want to flip them so I don't run into a height issue. I'm pretty sure Og strains are known to stretch quite a bit if anyone knows correct me if I'm wrong. To prepare for the flip I've removed some of the lower underdeveloped branches and gave the ladies a defoilation to open them up because as you know they were solid shrubs or lettuce or whatever you prefer lol. I also readjusted some of their ties and while doing that I almost snapped a branch clean off  I grabbed some tape and wrapped it around the break and I'm sure it will be healed up in no time.
The Bog 1 is shorter then the rest of her sisters so I gave her a little boost.

And now for pics got before and after of the defoil and tie adjustment.

Good thinking with flipping earlier - I think I underestimated stretch on mine a bit. Nice lollipop, love those freshly shaved legs. :thumb:
Thanks Hh! Watching them grow the last week I knew I couldn't wait to flip them they were already half the height of the tent. I think the defoil and trim up will work out well they were really thick and I was noticing moisture between some of the overlapping leaves. Now the fun part starts can't wait to watch these girls strut their stuff.

Hey ! I finally found your journal ..I don't jump on too many stories with multiple pages so I totes overlooked it ! Looks great :) can't wait to see how this ends ..❤️

Oh hey for training I tried those same hooks on the bucket and it was too frustrating but using a bunch of plant yo yo's anchored to the bottom poles (and various things ) and pulling her down and readjusting every 12 hours or so worked great for me this last round, and bucket changes were easy with temporary lines vs. A spiders nest (sativa , cotton candy kush)
I think at one point I had 6 or 8 lines on her ...not ideal for multiple plants in a tight space but that kush I'm growing could have gotten 20 feet tall on me without some strategic bending .. Namaste !

Happy to have you Northern! Always like to see another fellow Canadian and Dwc grower. It's a long journal cause I've kinda just been doing it perpetually I never really bothered to start another one for each of my grows and everyone can find me here so I just kept going. Hope you enjoy the rest of the show we are just getting into the fun part.

That's a pretty smart idea and something I should look into. I was coming from growing in promix in fabric pots on all my previous grows and was using binder clips to attach my ties to the fabric pots. So I tried to come up with an idea that would allow me to lift the net pots off without to much hassle and that is what I came up with. A bit more tweaking is in order for the next Dwc grow for starters is training earlier then I did this time.

Thanks Bvb! Ya the stocks are a nice green color probably because they are hanging out in a calmag soup lol. Flip day tomorrow hoping I judged their height correctly we will find out in the next 3 weeks.

Looking great N ... plants look spot on and the shaved legs hahah. The height looks great. They will fill in nicely. :)
Appreciate it Magic! Ya not to bad on the leg shaving I only cut myself a few times
