My Very First Grow - Advice Welcome!

...do you know how much longer I should wait until I try to clone the PE myself?

In order to clone successfully, you will need a shoot to use as a cutting. The minimum length that I would consider for a cutting is 3" - anything shorter and there just isn't enough there to work with, IMO.

So you can clone anytime after you have shoots that are a minimum of 3" long.

Because the clone assumes the maturity of the mother - it matters when you take the cutting. If you take the cutting early in veg, then the clone will start out it's life early in veg. If you take the cutting right before the plant enters the flowering tent - then the cuttings will be ready to enter the flowering tent whenever you get adequate size. This is one of the major advantages of clones - they can be sexually mature at any size (within reason).

I have also taken cuttings while the plants are in the flowering tent - but have had success only during the first three weeks. Probably my issue, not an issue with cloning while the plant is flowering.

You need 3-4 nodes on the clone, it's quite a learning process(cloning)...Best o luck & don't get discouraged....

Thanks man but discouragement is not in my atmosphere I am here to learn this tedious process and am willing to do what ever it tAkes even if that means asking you for help lmao but I'm in it for the long haul!

Thank you dude that was extremely helpful so I have a while until I get there and that's cool as my plant is only a foot tall I plan on trying to keep this strain atone at all time as it is so rare from what I hear but I can't wait to get that whole cycle going but like I said thank u very much!

ok so im back and have alot of questions and updates!!!! so question #1 if the soil is still moist do i need to water i am still just givin my PE plant just water for now but i have not watered it in about 5 days but like i said the soil is still damp? question #2 my PE clone has also not been fed i have a ionic growing kit that was ginvin to me but idk if i should use it yet and if so whhich one the PK Boost or Growth because i know not to use the bloom just yet? And now i have noticed that the PE is developing more Trichomes and that makes me smile as it is olnly been a week since i got it 11 days to be exact also the bubba kush is comining along very well also.

Now for the new news i had started the germ procees on saturday the 6th for my sour turbo diesel and critical cheese and they broke ground today, and when i woke up i was so happy as this is my first time growing and my first time ordering seeds S/O 2 Attitude seeds BTW. lmao i am extremely excited and cant wait to watch them grow!!! pls give me some feedback i am uploading fotos later today!!!

If the soil's still damp & the plant is healthy, I would hold off a lil longer. My current strain hates water as a young plant. I go with the old adage: If it ain't broke don't fix it.
Sour Turbo Diesel! You're gonna love it I bet.
Anyway, put my opinion on the back burners cause this is my 1st grow in 15 years. lol.a
Good luck! Post pics.

What I do is watch the plant as well as the soil. If you take your finger, dig down a couple inches in the soil, and it is still moist, they shouldn't need water. Smart Pots/Geo Pots are quite popular since they promote excellent root growth, but can dry out fast since they breathe so well. I have to water more often when plants are in pots compared to the ground. My ground pits are surrounded by clay soil, so water is maintained in the amended soil pits longer. If a Smart Pot is set on a warm, brick patio, wooden deck, etc., the bottom can dry out, yet the first few inches of soil at the top may be moist, so you have to watch that by good saturation to prevent runoff. When I water, I give the water time to saturate the soil, water again, and will do that 3 or 4 times if I have to in a Smart Pot. I grow outside, so couldn't answer any questions pertaining to indoor growing. I've found with top quality soil mixed with a good compost, I don't need to give nutrients until the stalks appear woody. Go light on nutrients at first to see how the plant reacts. Some like nutrients and others do not. Fox Farms, E.B. Stone make some very good nutrients. Organic nutes are less likely to burn your plants than synthetic nutes. I do not recommend synthetic fertilizers. I recommend 100% organic. The body appreciates it.

Ok sorry for the delay every one but I just got off work and here are the pics

I pray I get at least an Oz of this goodness!!

Thank you guys so much man y'all make me feel like a pre med student with the evaluations and all and I love it feels like I'm in school again!!!! Lol

So I came in today after being gone for about 4-5 hours and the temp in the box was 111 as I forgot to turn on the exhaust BUT the plant has also sported about 6 more leaves that are unfolding now!!!! What happened can anyone help me? It did some good but I wondering if I should try that on purpose next time!

"Usually"...plants will die above 100 degrees? Sounds like the plants loved the lighting & you got lucky. On the same note, I was advised to move my MH light down to 18"-24" away from the plant. It was about 36" above. This was based on my wattage, fixture type & sq.ft. Plant is really digging this, but I'm keeping an eye on any future issues (like heat). Your exhaust is in-line through the lamp?

NO. More than likely the warm in your roots was up in the 70's or 80's and that sparked some growth. 111f will kill MJ. The bud godess shined on you today. But somedays shes not so nice. :):)
BTW, good weed sir.

i would keep your light and exhaust fan plugged into the same circuit with a electrical power bar or dual outlet timer. that way if the circuit blows both your light and fan are either on or off at the same time preventing your plants from dying from heat.

you should add your grow journal to your signature so it is easy for other members to find. to add your grow journal to your signature, go to top right, Settings>Settings, left hand side, My Settings>Edit Signature, copy the web address from the first page of your grow journal and paste it into the open window.

Thanks bro and yes I do have the exhaust back in check like right now the temp is at 76 degrees and thanks about the temp knowledge I feel extremely lucky now!!!
