DAY 9 since germination :)
DAY 7 since sprouting.

She looks great, Princess!

Before you transplant, can you tell us what you are going to use for soil?

And hey, we have a Queen and a Princess here, what's a lowly commoner like me doing here?

Didn't you know? I attract royalty dear!!! I can dub you something or other, insert title here__________________________________....

Princess, yeah your baby is still a little young. So, indeed, I can understand why you would be nervous. And what are you gonna transplant them into? What size pot or container?

I figured ill keep using the black gold "seedling" mix since it has all that good stuff in it, might as well use it up.
And wow, this is incredibly ironic

Im with you QTL, lets make him Knight ggrant. Protector of all cannabis :adore:

I planned on transplanting her into a 1 gallon container because i plan to keep her... well smaller haha and maybe LST.

Good Job so far princess. Ilikebike is spot on with that info. just make sure there is roots enough to hold the soil together let the soil dry out a touch and cut the plastic off. virtually no stress what so ever as long as you dont bother any of the roots.

good luck and keep her green!
:Namaste:

Oh, yeah, I remember doing a search on the Black Gold. Good stuff. No extra nutes and perlite to keep the mix from compacting.

Taxi to the runway, Princess, you're cleared for takeoff!

Follow everyone's advice on how to get your baby out of her shell and into the big world out there.

Sir Tokelot it is then...*busts out sword*....Hey stop looking nervous, I got this... Our champion of cannabis...go forth and defend the honor of cannabis.

Yes indeed! go forth sir tokelot!

As for all the comments for transplant! thank you so much! For all your help I will have pictures of the transplant up by tomorrow! She's growing another set of leaves and getting bigger by the moment.

Also sorry for being so MIA. It's been a busy weekend for me but im back and ready to spring into action! I also have new lights. 60watt compact fluorescents. My metal halide bulbs for some reason are ALL broken (i have three) so this may cause an unwanted delay.

just curious, but why the transplant so soon? you dont just want to keep adding soil to that cup while plant is stretching? shes still so tiny to be transplanted. personally i think with the root structure still being so tiny and delicate a transplant right now might be more harmful then good.

usually you want to wait until the plant has a solid and sturdy root structure before you transplant. I would add more soil and wait just long enough for your plant to have its first set of actual fan leaves. more then 3 or 5 fans on each leaf. this will till you that you have a solid root structure because the larger the leaves, the more nutrients that are being sucked up.

thank you so much! i thought if i just did one major transplant it would save me the trouble later on. guess i really should stop rushing it, im letting my anxiety get the best of me. but thanks so much for stopping by!

Im pretty sure ive read both of your grow journals as well as your friend gimmethegoods. A lot of my research came from there and the faq section so its great of you to stop by my journal! :thanks:

no problem at all =)
Im glad you liked the article, and that it brought a little momentary piece of mind. Its def tough for us as newbie growers, its amazing how something so simple as a plant growing in the ground can actually be so very complex. But I guess thats the beauty of it.

So far it looks like you are doing good with your grow! cant wait to see how she progresses through out the coming weeks. I'll be stopping back in to check out the plant pron ;)
take it easy =) :thumb::high-five:

Yeah gimmiethegoods is good people! hes a good person to get solid info from.

Tomorrow marks two weeks! :slide:
Now on for the questions-
Whats the BEST time to start veg?
When do i REALLY need to start nute feeding?
Do I need nutes to have a successful harvest?
How early should i start LST?
Is there another simple way to keep my plants UNDER 2 1/2 feet other than constant trimming or early flowering?
I'm pretty much a "noob" so all you experienced growers your input is appreciated :) I really want to add another light fixture but i'm not all that sure where to get those spot light/grow lamps. Help? Thanks!

when i did my first grow from seed to harvest we used very little nutrients. we used a soil that had stored slow release nutrients in it so i think my plants got most their food off that. we feed them a few times throughout their life cycle but it was by no means a steady diet. We never mesured out doesages or anything just put a little in the water every few months when we went to water the plants. The bud still came out excellent i think what these nutrients are on the market for is to go over board with your growing. if you want bigger plants faster with more thricome production. your gonna want to get yourself a nice 2 or 3 part nutrient system. Thats just my personal opinion though/

i would like to think that once you get a few more leave sets going you can transplant, then after it recuperates from transplant shock, i assume you could go ahead and start LST'ing the little bugger, some one correct me if im wrong but as long as the plant has an established root base, i dont think you could ever start LST'ing to early. and LST is probably one of the only ways to keep your plant height down besides topping it.

If you want to add more light you can go to walmart/lowes/homedepot they all sell 4' florescent shop lights for like 10$ and the pack of 2 bulbs is like 7$. Or you can buy a bunch of 25w CFL Cool blue lights and buy a bunch of clamp on reflectors and set them up throughout your grow room. if you want to buy a HPS or MH ballast you should look on craigslist or on Ebay/amazon. I got an amazing deal on ebay for a complete light package you should check it out. Later!
