Being indica dominant and the size of the scrog net, I'm having quite compacted growth at the moment, trying to grow it enough in height for the next tuck seems to be taking a while, I've moved the light higher in the hope that they will stretch more.
I'm thinking I need to fill the net out more than this before the flip.. they also only went from 3 gallon pots to 6 gallon pots about 9 days ago, so again that makes me think not to flip yet.
I forget its been so long, but I'm meant to carry on tucking after the flip?
obviously Need some height above the net for the buds, I can see there being an initial stretch with this indica dominant plant, but if I tucked it too long compared to short genetic growth, busdites could be too low ?

Looks fantastic :thumb: Great work.

Very nice!
I should really get back to doing that as well as it is the most efficient way to grow indoors under led. You just get a nice canopy of similar sized buds that makes most use of the area and the shallow depth of energy most LEDs provide.

As for tucking after the flip well good question, of course anything that stretches out of control or longer than the others you can tuck to keep things even, I usually tuck the stretch away as well but with a stout indica I dunno you kinda want the shape of the plant set so the stretch can go into forming long buds as they don't stretch like crazy.

Thanks, I vaguely remember the last time I did a scrog, not as large buds as growing them "normal" but a more even spread of a larger quantity of buds which have recieved decent light.
I've tucked a bit more since the picture. I think I'll wait for them to turn up again from laying down. I've been having to water every 2 days on average, alternating with/without nutes. I have a no nute watering tomorrow, so I'll leave it until nute day and flip 12/12 . Finally, I'll start to see the fruits of the labour! 🙂

Well, here we are, 10 days into flower. Should have done a journal i guess.
I'm hoping they are going to stretch a bit more to make use of the second net I put in as support! I've only tucked a few branches, none in the back right corner, but that area needs to catch up a bit! Some areas are higher than others, but if I had tucked them I would be blocking other bud sites (to be).

4 weeks into flower.. starting to take shape.. I hope the buds fatten more though!

Give them time they will form and swell.
You have lots of time for them to get fat. A month to 6 weeks easily.
Just keep the air circulation under the canopy on high and rh low.
Don't let temps rise while they form.
How is your nutrient ppm?
Are you following the schedule?
They are starting to look hungry :Namaste:

Trying to keep the rh low, seems to spike for a while after watering.. like the entire next day/night cycle, then rh gets better the next day/night.. but the plants are on the edge dryness by the end of it.. and you can't water everyday by half's as you know.
I do need to up my air circulation under the canopy, been a hot couple of days so my night time temp has been upto 80/81 degrees! Nothing I could do really, but external temps are dropping back to more normal figures now so hasn't lasted for too long.
Will be back to 75/76 day and 70 dark period soon.
As for PPM, I don't have a clue! 🤣 I didn't bother years ago and haven't done so, so far anyway. I know I probably should but I've been closing my eyes to PPM.. if I don't know it can't hurt me 🤣

As long as your following the schedule for your nutrients ppm isn't critical.
They are hungry though and you have the second half of flower still to come. :Namaste:
Are you following the schedule for your nutrients?

Hi Bill, yes I'm following the schedule for the nutes.. I'm using hydrotops solo bloom and following that schedule, but at the weekend I'll be adding bloombastic booster into the mix.

Schedule says 4-5ml per litre of hydrotops. I've been watering every 2 days and nutrients every other water. I am seeing a little burn on the tips..
The pic I posted isn't that true to colour..
The front left plant is very green, the other plants are a bit yellower buy I've been concerned about burning them as the tips (on the yellower plants) already have a little.
Here are some pics that are more true to colour:

Left is obviously my more green plant, right is what the rest are like (only one plant has a couple of brown dots on a couple of the leaves, I've recently tried making the water a little more alkaline to help with mag intake, still not sure though)

Thus pic just to show the tips, I guess this is fairly true to actual colour of the 3 plants too.
From those pics, do you think I need to up the nutes still?

Something isn't quite perfect.
Too much yellowing already and no real green to speak of.
Let me look up those nutrients and I'll be back. :Namaste:

Is this it?
Are you using both A and B?
Or anything else on the chart?

What exactly are you putting in you mix now?

Hi Bill, thanks for this.. very much appreciated.
I'm fairly sure the a + b is a little different, I have the 'solo' but that's the one named on the schedule anyway.. here's a photo of the schedule that's on the back of the bottle.
20240628_112020.jpg

I was using a different brand 'grow' nutrient which was very old.. plant magic, which was 5-3-3.
At the time I looked online and saw the overlap of grow/flower nutrients on up to week 3. I did drop the grow nute after week 2, just because it was old and the hydrotops had more nitrogen anyway.. it made sense to me at the time.

I'm currently just using a ph down and 5ml per litre of hydrotops, hoping the higher N would make them greener.

The bloombastic booster is another brand again as you probably know, but that's not been started.

This is the actual one Bill. This is the one for soil growing 🙂

On second check, it's almost the same.. that one is soft water.. I have the hard water version which appropriate for my water 👍

Interesting. :thumb:
One bottle does it all, nice.
Are you setting ph to 6.3?
What is flower feed 110 ml?

Bill284 😎

I'm not sure what the flower feed is in all honesty. I'll take a look, although I'm a little bit past that.. week 4 actually started wednesday if I count from the 12/12 flip (but I've also read, some people don't count the 1st couple of weeks after the flip, do you count from the flip?).
I had been thinking the darker green would be back by now with all the feeds.. I've actually done 2 nute feeds back to back as of yesterday to try to help.
Ph is somewhere between 6 and 6.5 as I've only been using the liquid ph tester which changes colour.. due to the method of testing, I've been ph'ing straight after adding/mixing the ph down. But before nutes.. not sure if that's the best way or not, thats just how i did it years ago, or if I should buy a digital unit and test after nutes.

Put your nutrients in according to the schedule.
And anything you add after.
When everything is in then set your ph.
Otherwise adding nutrients after adjusting will increase ph usually.
Making it hard for her to pick up all the nutrients.
I'll find a copy for you.
A digital tester is not expensive and well worth the investment.
Be right back.
