I knew you were a brave soul. Go Haze!
I rooted around 50 bag seeds a while ago, 20 of them looked female when I went to 12/12. Ended up every one of them hermied. Huge waste of time... guess I'm trying to say "been there". Hopefully them clones work out well.
wow buck this is a set of tragic events. so sorry to read about all this cross dressing
all I can say is dadgum newfangled crazy LEDs
That's rough mate sorry to hear it. Feel free to send the remains my way. Would hate for u to have to smoke all that only to be reminded of what happened every time u smoke . I got ur back
Well I was so happy and proud of this little girl I really liked the way there was bud all along every inch of every branch and how they looked so I took some branch shots. I was zooming in on this image and there it was... a dayam nanner getting a woody. and I think I found some spent nanners too so I have to watch for seed and mark 'em
I just got through tossing three DJ Short blueberry reg seeds a few months ago because they were all male. Damn I thought for sure if you got three that one would be a female. So I feel your pain with the bad luck thing. I ran into a run of hermies just before that (bought from a poor breeder) too. Every time I see one I hear the voice of the head elf in the old claymation Rudolph Christmas special yelling at the elf that wanted to be a dentist. "Hermie!!!"
Sheeyut... I had that happen in my last harvest, but didn't catch it... got about 50 seeds out of 7 ounces.
<snip>It happens, you will have to be vigilant with your new wards...
Problem is... I check them EVERY DAY, but they must have been inside the female flowers because no one else got pollinated in the box... Just those two plants. I never saw any nanners, but somehow, deep inside the buds, I got a few seeds from two plants.
Hey, 00... tiny light leaks will not cause nanners... contrary to popular belief... think of it this way...
FULL MOON gives more light every month than a tiny light leak in the corner of a grow room.
If less light than a full moon will cause hermie, then, very outside grower should experience hermie on every grow.
genetics plays a bigger part in hermie than light.
Yes, a sporadic light schedule will do it (i.e. 12 hours of light during the day, then no light for 24 hours then 6 hours on then off, then on, then off, then change it again to something different, for over a week). Also extreme high heat, can do it although less effective.
