Correct Sir! That is why I am not bitch'in just do'in... oh and I thank God, even for the gnats

Well I went in for another round with fungus gnats. Wow I hate those little beasts. I no longer have a normal growing area, basically it is a river bank with a house over it. My grow area has to be on the river bank :cheesygrinsmiley: Most of the floor has crushed stone (many times wet) with not one but two sump pumps that work hard AND there was an out of control grape vine outside the house... I am talking about 50' to 100' vines with untended fruit and fungus gnats in clouds :yikes: I totally trimmed back the grape vine in the fall and treated outside. They had already found the basement haven before I got there and were living large. So this is a huge problem. I have been able to control it with mosquito dunks, predatory nematodes and sticky yellow cards but I have to keep on it because there is such a rich environment for them and they were entrenched in the area before me. Last night was changing cards dispersing nematodes and changing dunks so if you thought it was all roses buds for me you would be mistaken.

As I worked I kept looking at the super snowdawgs that are really starting to come along (and are turning purple from the cold nights!!!) I was going to let it go as I have more seed and wanted to play with some hybrids but dang she is beautiful and she kept asking to be cloned... so, I checked both, fully in flower even the lowest branches, dang. I have not had great results with flowering clones but all of a sudden I needed clones :cheesygrinsmiley: so I took some flowering cuttings and we will see if any make it... if they do it was meant to be and I will take great care of any survivors. I hope to have more pics soon, one last S Girl looking all frosty and the snowdawgs. In a while the first of the hybrids will start to show... :cheesygrinsmiley:

Over and out :reading420magazine:

Damn B!
I know what you mean about the living on a river bed thang.
I have the same problem, except with mold. My house is surrounded by PM.
Even though I don't take any air from outside, my passive intake still finds a way of sucking it in.
So I'm spraying almost every week.
Check out just one of the leaves off a completely infested Maple tree in my back yard..
Going to have to treat that mofo in the spring if I want to grow some plants on the deck.

Always a treat visiting your garden Buck!
Even WITH your issues, your ship is run tightly.
I like that..

Wicked! I had maples in the last place with PM all over, it was killing several outdoor plants and shrubs but I never got it indoors. I don't feel much like the captain … more like the bilge pump :cheesygrinsmiley:

One other thing I did last night. I was going to get an HPS bulb and move one of the hoods into the bud room and bring an LED panel back in for better plant structure as MH bulbs are not cutting it for me, I am still going to replace the other one with a CMH . As I looked at the move I started to think, what about just vegging with HPS? I don't want the heat in the bud room and I need all the heat I can get in the veg room. So I did it and replaced the bigger plants hood with a HPS bulb... we will see what happens :cheesygrinsmiley:

I vegged using an HPS for over a month!
Worked fine! And I wouldn't hesitate to do it again..
I used a Light Energy enhanced spectrum bulb.

Cool! Thanks, good to know :cheesygrinsmiley:

Please enjoy ... or not :cheesygrinsmiley: :peace:

Wow they're amazing buckshot! what are them cool white flowers you keep getting? I want to stick one in my BONG!!! RoorRip:goodjob:

:cheesygrinsmiley: Thanks JBC. The white flowers I have learned are called "hash tips". It is funny you should mention them because the pics were taken to dispell the myth it is due to proximity to the light in this post Albino bud?

I am still trying to figure it out but I think it is my ladies last ditch effort to make a flower that will get some bug action and I have given her the right nutrients to make it :hmmm:

Such a good journal mate!
Time to pass back some of those reps you keep handing to me! :peacetwo:

I don't know about "good" I always think I should be doing a better job but thank you, :thankyou:

hmm..I think I agree with you on the hash tips Buck, its not the lights its having everything dialed in and giving them the right nutes. If JJBones is right then all my tips will get them because my lights are way to close and theres nothing I can do about it until next round when I get rid of the rails.although I would'nt be upset if I had some of those they look delicious! looking great as usual Buck:)

Not sure why I missed this... yes... but I am also trying another one by ROCK. Soon I will know...

Hybrid talk

They are going crazy :cheesygrinsmiley:

S Girl is a old School hash plant she is being squared with a commercial hybrid that was mostly indica. The initial cross was only going to be used to square S Girl. On the second gen I took a 50/50 male and crossed it with everything in bloom at the time.

SI then crossed with:

The original S Girl for 25/75 S Girl (one more gen for the square)
Super Snowdawg
Haze (unknown strain, Our Lady of Cannabis marked it as simply "haze")
Blue Moon

They are all doing well but tonight I will talk about one of the Blue Moon x SI phenotypes. This plant is intense. It has already grown 3' with a thick stalk. It looked to me to be a male for sure. I put another BM x SI phenotype into bloom that did not show yet. Last night I went to check an found the big one in veg starting to show female!! So I pulled the phenotype in bloom and chucked the big girl in bloom :cheesygrinsmiley: after taking a few clones. This BM x SI may be an auto :cheesygrinsmiley: ... I might try growing a big girl clone like that! Time will tell.

More "Hybrid talk" to come :cheesygrinsmiley:

edit - the ganga widow is asleep I am going to gawk at big girl :cheesygrinsmiley:
