My Room - Perpetual LED Soil

First as promised the third shot in the cure of S Girl. She is now ready for most folks, to me she still needs a ways but I need meds so I will take the lesser buds now and allow the rest ....to rest

Hi there Buckshot! nice grow you got going there m8 =)

Just a quick question, whats the distance from your lights to the tops of your plant, i'de guess about 60cm (2feet) you could easy lower them by half the distans, no prob. it would give you more intense light and perhaps fatten those buds a bit more =) and add a little weight to the lower branches as well =).

have any light reader of some kind?

i have one like this, pretty crappy but it gives you some info on how much light u get on different distances.

I have my LED panel about 20-25cm from my plants, and i see no harm to them.

my LED maxxes that reader from 95cm away and gives good light all the way to 1.40.

But why mess with somthing that works great for you =)

No light meter. It is a balance. Far enough for coverage but close enough to get good growth.

I was amazed you feel Buck needs your help...look at the pictures, he is kicking ass and taking numbers! His final product is awesome! :scratchinghead:

i dont doubt that hes stuffs are awsome.

not trying to help, i can tell those babies are doing really well, i just asked why he have the lights with that distance since there are no risk at all to heat stress them with leds, unless u have them 5cm away. i was just curious.. with that many lights in the room i thought that the coverage would still be good enough, with the increase of light to lower parts he would have an increase in yield.

but hey what do i know. only got 67 post so i cant know that much i guess..

Buck, Sry if i came on like "your doing it wrong" not my intension. just curious thats all =)

I have let some plants grow right into the LEDs ... you can get close, but why? You can get great buds further away so you have more room hence more great buds.

How do you mean ? bit fuzzy atm, perhaps i'll get it tomorrow haha. do you mean that, letting them grow to close will block out light from other bud sites?

First time with LED's for me so i wanna learn all i can =) and what better way then to ask questions, even tho they might be really stupid to some people haha.

for how many weeks have the babes in the last picture been in flower?

The only time that has happened is when one grew right into the light ... while I watched. What is your temps and is this an "overlap area"? I am sure you can cool them this time of year! :cheesygrinsmiley:

it will sink in, raise the light= more grow area, at some point it will be counter productive... I have no idea how long scrog girl has been in there, if I had to guess I would say one month.

Oddly enough the same distance as yours. They have separate controls for red and white. Mix as you like. I had 4 of them daisy chained.
Covered a 5 x 5 well. Going to SCROG with them this next grow.
