My Room - Perpetual LED Soil

good weed to you Buck:)

have a good weedend Buckaroo!

I hope some of you managed a decent weekend. I was able to plant most of the garden. I put an old girl out and trimmed her way down. I took a blue moon and that left me room to move things around. I chucked a flo in to bud and have a lot of work in the veg room to go. Here are a couple of shots of the blue dream out front. There is a shot of the top foot or so that shows the twin colas.

I was using a long lens so the flash did not overpower the LEDs...

Those are the finest photos I've come across. The contrast between LED and flash is really striking.

Folks

Looks like it is going to be hit or miss for a while. Work will be started on the basement soon and things will be a little crazy. There is light at the end of the tunnel and the work will be done by a "safe" crew... but still. I have a flo that is just starting to bud I do not want to f that up, she is so purty :cheesygrinsmiley: The two new blueberry cuts are taking root... but... one leaf got a weird mold on it and they both look SPIDER MITE bit :yikes: I got out my glass and tried to look but my eyes are feeble and fading. I will have to take some shots to "look" but I don't have time right now, this will be a big investigation. Ugh. Oh well, I got two rooting blueberry cuts!! By the look and smell of her flo looks like it is going to be a killer plant. I was given 4 tiny flowering cuts 2" with buds forming and they had quite thick trichomes at the time so I expect a frosty future for flow fully flowering :cheesygrinsmiley: That is if spider mites don't attack my garden. The good thing is I am fully prepared for a spider mite attack thanks to Sierra Natural Science. I already made a preemptive prophylactic strike. We shall see. What else... ahh yes I have been wanting to try the Magical Butter Maker since before it arrived... I have not tried it yet because I am going to need the right opportunity. Tincture is very effective for me so that is what I want to use the machine for. Since I have not had anyone else tell me the process has been completed safely I have to assume I am in "test mode". To me this means treat it with "over" safety until proven safe for what I am doing. That means I have to have a 4 hour stretch of good weather with the place to myself so I can put it out and cook some up. Of course I will have full explosive body armor :cheesygrinsmiley:, not... well? :cheesygrinsmiley:. Anyway I will have some news on that soon-ish. I am going to cut a couple blue moons soon, both were a little off due to me crowding and rushing to get ready for the move. Oh well it will be sweet bud none the less. I have two monster blue dreams that make me go... wow. I took one and bent over each of its four tops to the point of "breaking" them... several times! to keep them under the lights, the result is a scrog like giant :cheesygrinsmiley:

get them little bastards Buck! the one time I have had mites was enough for me. be wary of them as they can be resilient fuks so dont just treat with one kind of treatment! they can quickly become immune to it like a virus. but Spinosad I found works best and its organic:)
look up Bonide products:)

Be careful with Spinosad, One study,"Cytogenetic and Hormonal Alteration in Rats Exposed to Recommended “Safe Doses” of Spinosad and Malathion Insecticides", by S.A. MANSOUR1, A.H. MOSSA AND T.M. HEIKAL, found significant markers for long term mutagenic effects in mammals.

"ABSTRACT
This study evaluated the cytogenetic and reproductive effects of spinosad and malathion on male albino rats. The insecticides were given daily, via oral route, in 60 repetitive doses equaled to Acceptable Daily Intake “ADI” (0.02 & 0.30 mg i.kg-1b.w.), No Observed Adverse Effect Level “NOAEL” (9.00 & 29.00 mg a.i.kg-1b.w.) and 1/100 LD50(37.38 & 13.75 mga.i.kg-1b.w.) of spinosad and malathion respectively. Results of cytogenetic effects indicated that spinosad (37.38 mg a.i. kg-1b.w.) and malathion (13.75 & 29.00 mg a.i.kg -1b.w.) induced significant decrease in mitotic activity (MI %) and increased micronucleated polychromatic erythrocyte (MN %) in rat's bone marrow cells. The MN % recorded 0.36% in control rats, compared to 0.96% for spinosad at 37.38 mg a.i.kg-1b.w. and 1.46 and 1.93% for malathion at 13.75 and 29.00 mg a.i.kg-1b.w., respectively. Except the treatment with 0.02 mg a.i. kg-1b.w. (ADI) of spinosad, the other tested doses of both insecticides showed significant increase in the percentage of chromosomal aberrations in rat's bone marrow cells. The percentage of chromosomal aberration (excluding gaps) recorded 0.66, 1.33 and 3.66% for spinosad at 0.02, 9.00 and 37.38 mg a.i. kg-1b.w., respectively. In case of malathion, such values recorded 3.00, 6.33 and 6.66% at 0.30, 13.75 and 29.00 mga.i.kg-1b.w., respectively. The obtained cytogenetic effects occurred in a dose-dependent manner. After 45 days of treatment, testosterone concentration significantly decreased (P≤0.05) at a dose levels of 9.00 and 37.38 mg a.i.kg-1b.w. spinosad and0.30 mg a.i. kg-1b.w. malathion. At the other tested doses, malathion caused highly significant decrease (P≤0.01) intestosterone concentration. Moreover, varieties of histopathological lesions were identified in the examined testes. The incidence and severity of these lesions appeared to increase with increasing dose and the most pronounced pathological changes were necrosis of spermatogonial cells, congest in blood vessels and exfoliation of necrotic cells within the somniferous lumen. The tested doses of both insecticides recorded observable significant decrease in the absolute testes weights and the lowest value (2.18 g) was resulted from malathion at the 1/100 LD50(29.00 mg a.i. kg-1b.w.). Except thetreatment with 0.02 mg a.i. kg-1 of spinosad, the other tested doses of both insecticides showed significant decrease in bodyweight gains. Generally, cytogenetic and productive effects, as well as alteration in testosterone level, were observed in a dose-dependent manner and malathion exhibited more pronounced effect than spinosad ."

Both spinosad and malathion are pretty nasty stuff, for your marrow and balls. So of couse I wanted to warn you of the hazzards. The study is pretty heady and dry reading. So i just posted the abstract.:peace:

Good looking out Smoke2Js!!
I thought it was a good thing. the girl at the nursery(a fine gardener Herself) had recommended it to me in my time of need. She too is a organic. just not MJ as far as I know:)

Could she be a sack hater? Taking out unsuspecting men who fit her profile for gene pool life guard duty? Nah, I am sure she does not know, and is selling what she has been told is safe. She might not have the time or intuitive search brain that i have ( computer with internet) to make information gathering worth the effort.. then again all the vegans/vegetarians that I know research Everything.... Next time you go in there wear a protective cup, just in case she "slips" with the new shears you are buying," oops, Medic!!"

:adore::adore::rofl::rofl: Kind a harsh aint ya?:)
