I am not sure why.

This is for those using a computer but something similar should be there for those on a phone. While putting together a message click on the little icon at the top of the users message that looks like two pieces of the old fashioned camera film. For me it is located between the icon that opens up the 420 Smilies list and the icon that looks like a camera and is called Gallery Embed. The one you want will be called Video Embed.

Click on the movie film icon and when it opens up put the youtube URL in the appropriate box and you should be good-to-go.
