My First Time Growing

Smoke I guess I better forwarn you... I am extremely wierd and a very consevative republican to tell the truth but I do see the irony in being so active on this site and having my political views but I am also somewhat intellengent {except when spelling} and don't believe straight down the party line obviously... but I have an enormous sense of humor about it and very much know I am surrounded by liberal democrates here and that is what makes this such a wonderful place and also really a wonderful country... even though our ideology may be different we are open minded enough to find the ways we are alike instead of beating the shit out of each other for our differences.... and look what we found out... we all love Supernatural....:circle-of-love:

No need to warn me, I actually don't consider myself any single type of political person. If I had to identify with one, it would be independent because people have such different perspectives. I don't like/dislike anyone because of their political views. I loved my parents and they were republicans also. And as long as you like Supernatural, your O.K. in my book.

Just for the record smoke... I am a girl and I identify as a girl and I like boys...:goof: but as you stated... and I agree.... I don't care who sleeps with who as long as they don't put it in my face and that would be straight or gay... somethings just shoud be behind closed doors... My age is showing huh....:circle-of-love:

I'm the same way Dennise, I'm a guy, but I have gay friends and have no problem with trans people. It's not anyone's fault how they feel. They just came off the line that way. More power to 'em as long as they can find happiness!

I watched Supernatural religiously for the first couple of seasons, the younger brother was on Gilmore Girls, a show my daughter marathoned dozens of times. Good show, it's no Game of Thrones or even Dexter or True Detective..

I'm about four months behind on my tv viewing, for some reason. :)

I'm rewatching Friends as background while I'm on this site as I tend to do old shows I don't care if I miss parts of while I'm focusing on trying to to form complete sentences while high as a kite off my first stash of homegrown goodness all while trying not to make one huge run-on sentence that takes effort to even read.

Later all, fun catch up reading tonight. I just got back from rifleman's porch where the topic is dog farts, only to come over here to a Supernatural nerdcon.

Cannabis is so wonderful.

:)

Everything is looking good in the bookcase this morning, But I haven't looked in the tent yet, It's still lights out for the girls.

We're coming up on a week of 12/12 in the tent. To this point Smoke has been able to determine sex. Have you noticed aggressive growth, Smoke? That early flower stretch? They are getting stinkyer as you've noticed.

This is a good time to talk about what folks call the "first day of flower."

When you look at breeder info it usually states a "flowering time." Flowering time can vary greatly depending on the strain. Flowering times are funny. Are they determined using outdoor growing conditions? Mostly they are because that information is most useful for someone who wants to know how far into the fall they should expect to harvest and is considering traditionally wet weather or the first freeze.

Outdoors the hours of daylight are dependent on latitude. There is no solid date to mark a "first day of flowering." Some strains will start when the daylight is 15 hours, some 14.

For me, the first day of flower is the day I look at a plant and say to myself, "that plant is flowering," not the day the light schedule was changed. If done that way the flowering times claimed by breeders tend to be more accurate. Others may feel differently.

I just noticed this morning after the lights came on that yes, They have started to stretch a bit (mostly Harley, Casey doesn't appear to have stretched yet but both definitely have flowers on them) I was going to ask you about that. Harley does have a few of the stalks that are taller. The smell is stronger, but not as bad as I had expected, The filter has kept all the odor in the tent so far. 1 question I was wondering about, Do all the flowers produce buds? I was just wondering because their is a lot of flowers on each plant (To my untrained eye at least).

Flower and bud are pretty much two words for the same thing. Everywhere you see a flower will be a bud. The ones down low on the plant won't be as big as the ones near the top.

Cool, because most of the flowers I see (without digging under the leaves when I'm not doing LST) are towards the top, but there are flowers lower too, I have been tucking the leaves trying to get those lower flowers as much light as possible. What has surprised me the most though is that the odor is completely contained in the tent so far. In my room with them I can't smell anything yet. But I assume that as they continue to flower the odor will get stronger.

Good morning.. Canna just wait till season 5... It's my favorite of all of them by far...;) It's about time for you to post up a few more pics of them babies Smoke.... Try and get us some shots of the branches at the stalk the best you can.... Sometimes when we can blow them up on our screens we can see things better and hopefully we will be able to get a definitive answer on that sexing thing....:circle-of-love:

I can't get good shots with the camera I have really, but I did post a pic yesterday or the day before that convinced PJ and Canna they are females. We even celebrated because of it. But I will be posting some pics of all the plants so you guys can see the progress they are all making.
