My First Journal, Kanno 26: I Will Grow 6 Critical Plants From Royal Queen Seeds

If you top above the fourth node and then keep nodes three and four and remove nodes one and two, you will form the base for quadling which is a very efficient way of training with less time devoted to recovery as other methods.

Here is the original thread that explains it pretty well on the first page.
Thanks again Azi! You sent it to me when I joined but didn't bookmark it, didn't know lol. I hope to become a good supporter one day like you. As long as you are on.... I can sit back and learn. :adore:

I thought I might have, but didn't remember so thought I'd post the links again to be sure you saw them. @Kanno26 's done such a good job with his quading and has asked some great questions, that I think this thread is flat out gold for someone looking to see what all the fuss about quadlining is all about. This grow is such a great example of how simple but yet effective it can be even for growers without a ton of experience.

Hi Kanno!

Hi yet, once you have no experience with this light I am thinking about it on the vegetables in the tent 60x90x160 what I would like to buy thanks for the tips.
Yes P600 should work fine in 2x3 tent for the veg phases.
It should cover the 2x2 footprint pretty evenly - I guess the lamp PAR was tested in 2x2 area (60x60cm).

Just make sure the P600 has Vipar’s new tech incase youre ordering it from somewhere else than Viparspectra own online store; it should have Samsung LM281B+ diodes and upgraded driver (I guess it wasn’t MW’s).

For the flowering phase it might not be enough in 60x90 tent.
Anyway it is one of the cheapest and most efficient 100w QB on EU market.

If you’re looking for a decent LED that you can use from seed to harvest in that 2x3 (60x90cm) tent, then I’d maybe choose VB1500: ViparSpectra® VB1500 150W Infrared Full Spectrum LED Grow Light
E013A6CF-23BA-4AD8-A56A-69C06E2C29CA.jpeg

It is a 150W Quantum board with the same latest Samsung chips and it has the better and more efficient Mean Well driver. And because of the board size/width it should cover the 60x90 area pretty well. Also it’s only about 30-40$ more than the P600 which is 50W less consumption.

TLDR would be; for 60x90cm tent the 100W would be the ”minimum” to cover the whole area and 250W prob max.
If you’re looking for the cheapest QB’s then google ”Kingbrite” or if you looking for more efficient LED’s then try look for Cree Cob Leds - just make sure they cover your wanted area.

Just tag me if you need a futher help to choose good led light. :)

SPUD-BC, or Spud for short. :cheesygrinsmiley:
Heh. I had done the initials and didn't like them that much. But Spud is great. Spud Bud. Yes. Betcha it won't taste like potatoes.

Hi @Verbalist, thanks for the tip, but what I was looking at is not just the old model available here, and I'll take a look at what you can get here, maybe I'll look after Lumatek, what I have in a big tent, but thank you.

Hi everyone, so I looked put on the lights and I came across the NextLight 150H and I would like to use it only for vegetables for about 6 weeks in a tent 60x90x160 what do you think it will be enough for vegetables? I noticed that @StoneOtter, @Emilya, @Grand Daddy Black, so you have lights from them so I would be interested in your opinion. Thanks for the info when others get involved I'll be glad;)

I solidly and completely endorse this brand of lights. I like their spectrum, their amount of output per watt and the sturdiness of design. I am very biased in my opinion however, since I have won 2 of these lights in 420 Magazine contests. I am equally sure that any lights endorsed as sponsors of this forum are going to be just as good in their own ways. Seeing the built in dimmer on this particular model, I don't think you could go wrong in ordering this light.

Thanks @Emilya, I also think it could only be great for vegetables and the dimmer is just a plus and what are those lights from NextLight?

Hey Kanno, that's a super light for anything! I have a @NextLight Core that claims 185 watts that I've grown tents of weed with. The quality was top shelf. I couldn't imagine it couldn't grow veggies. Good price
Lol. You're the best @StoneOtter. He means for veg, not actual vegetables. We talked earlier. He's basically asking if we think the nextlight 150 would be adequate to power veg only in his new tent he posted. Then for flower he'll move them to the big tent where he already has a sweet Zeus in play. I suggested to him the 150 would be more than adequate to do veg only in a 3 x 2 and was likely a great choice.

Hehe, I get lost on Sundays. I'm back. I use mine for keeping mothers and general odd vegging in the open for my experimenting. It's a sweet light that sips watts.

Thanks @StoneOtter, and thanks to you @Jon, for explaining my situation and my plans;)
Just trying to help my man, not speak for you, you know that. I could tell SO thought you were referring to actual vegetables. Lol. Seems others like the light too and are giving their stamp of approval so far.

Hi gardeners, so today is the 27th day of flowering, and the girls today received 15 liters of watering. So far, everything is going according to plan;). Here are some photos of my critical plants. Thanks to everyone for your insight and advice. Have a nice Monday to all. ;)

The tent is almost full: D. And here is another variant of a possible future tent. That's all there is to you.

When you say 27th day of flowering, is that from when you flipped them to 12/12 or from when you first saw pistils a week or two later?

I ask, because if you have plans to drought them, you'll need to time that process right, and I think your strains are pretty short flowering if I remember correctly.

Hi @Azimuth, it's been 27 days since switching to 12/12 and the first pistils appeared a few days later a week. According to Royal Queen Seeds, it should be 7-9 weeks.

Damn @Kanno26, they look straight up perfect. You must be a pot grower savant or something. Lol. This is incredible. May be getting into POTM material here. Maybe you want to consider entering a photo of the sweetest plant in a few weeks when they begin to show color and stuff? Betcha it's going to be HIGHLY photogenic!!!!

Btw - a word or two on this tent. This is approximately the same size in terms of sq. footage as the other one you are considering. I personally think there may be an advantage to this shape over the other one. For one thing your horizontal space is less with this one. Another is that this tent is taller and gives you more room to move a light up and down if you wish or need to. Lastly, I personally believe a square tent is much easier to light up evenly with the type of lights you're considering. They tend to project a square field of light, and I believe you will do better with this tent vs. the other one. Just my two cents for what it's worth.

Thank you @Jon, do you mean to enter them in a competition? I hope they are very photogenic. And please, what does the abbreviation POTM mean to such a lama.:D
