My First Indoor Grow Please Follow Along

Yea, when I asked question about when the plant will finish I was thinking around two weeks time.
Since photo was taken I fed, what will likely be the final feeding, the elder plant, and now just waiting about a week, maybe a flush and wait another week and harvest.
Plant is at 8 weeks from sprouting today. GHS says plant finishes in about 10 weeks under 16-18hr lighting schedule. also says its a taller auto flower and does veg for 2-3 weeks than flower for7-8 weeks. However since how leaves have behaved, the fact that plant has been under 21hrs lights on (so has had 7 days worth of light more than plant under 18hrs on light schedule) i could see this finishing right at 10 weeks as advertised. Most things I have read about AF seem to indicate that generally you go an extra week from what seed manufacturer says and often times a week longer if under LED as opposed to MH/HPS. Does anyone agree that about two more weeks or think more? Or Less? Plant had 3 Liters of water two days ago along with nutes. still quite damp the soil; as its been cool and cloudy lately. also there was a branch that had been injured since two or three weeks old, and the flower just seems to not continue developing like the rest of plant. That fact coupled with the fact that I am running out of my own flower led me to Chop it off. Its now drying in non-insulated shed.

Good Afternoon Ron,

I read through your journal; you're doing fine for your first attempt.

It did appear your older plant was suffering from a lack of Nitrogen, but at this point, I wouldn't worry about it. As Pennywise mentioned, I'd let her go while she's still pushing pistils. All in all though, it looks like you'll reap a nice little reward for your efforts there.

Your younger plant actually looks better than your older one. Again, perhaps it was missing out on a little bit of N, but it may be far enough along to not worry with it at this point. Just an observation, and I'm no Auto expert, in fact I've only ever worked with one because it was a freebie, but with that being said, it appears your younger plant, the one you left to grow naturally, is looking bigger in size and holds more promise in terms of your harvest than the one you LST'd. Perhaps something to keep in mind going forward.

All in all you're doing great...keep at it!

This is the branch that i cut off. i cut it off 2.5 days ago. It was the branch that was damaged in LST in 2nd 3rd week. it just didn't continue to grow fatter or produce many new pistils so i figured i would cut off. plus i only got 1g left of smoke so ya know.. hopefully will be smokeable in another 4-5 days. and hopefully will be be atlas 2 or 3 grams dried.

OK so after drying 2.5 days i took little of bud off from bottom of branch i broke off. i then proceeded to dry it over a wood stove for another hour so and then smoke it. it was harsh and not very potent, atlas comparatively to the Auto Think Different i have been smoking. but it was immature still and not dried and cured properly. i still have the rest of it hang drying in my shed out side.

Now onto the elder plant. i searched all stores nearby where i live and could only find a cheap magnifying glass for equivalent $1.50. i bought it but its not helping in my quest to look closely at the trichomes to verify maturity/ripeness. here are some pics of eldest plant. any other opinions or someone, who by looking at these pictures can feel confident about a recommendation of when to harvest.

SOME PHOTOS ZOOMED IN ON MY CELL PHONE. (was a bit better than cheap magnifying glass)

The plant just seems a good couple shades (darker) than it was 5-6 days ago when i last updated. My thoughts by looking at plant as a whole just looks "Ripe" but i dunno, most of the buds seem to be still wit white pistols and all and i guess they are still growing a wee bit, not nearly as much growth as 2 weeks ago though or anything.

What i was thinking was to leave it another 3 days than move it to complete darkness and slightly cooler temperatures. 55-65 for 1.5-2 days then chopping. not sure if i will flush it or not either. i have read convincing arguments on both sides of flushing

It's really hard to say from the pics but I'd say 3 days is too soon. Looks like many of the pistils are still white in some of those pics, and if you can't see the trichomes, you should wait for your pistils to be mostly brown before you harvest. Not sure what you're watering schedule is but since autos late in flower don't use much water, you can probably flush on your next watering day if you're going to do it.

Hello friends and followers. So both plants have been watered and fed nutrients. I have also replaced the 23watt CFL with a 65 watt cfl and have changed the configuration of the lights and plants within grow area. Here is the eldest plant

Here is the younger plant, as mentioned it was fed. i gave it the 3 biobizz products i have in concentrations of 3-4ml/Liter. It seems this plant has also yellowed, albeit less than the elder plant. maybe the Bio-Grow isn't great or this plant needs a lot of N or maybe its because i only water basically once a week and that infrequency is causing the problems. not sure really what do you guys think?
