My First Grow Or A Brown Thumb Account Of Events

Yes, clearing out the underbrush so to speak, and I'm going to try and get this one branch under control.
So I bent her over and will see if she will stay there for a while so the others can catch up.

I've come down with a cold of sorts and haven't been keeping up with my journal, so here goes.
I did a major Defol and got it back under the screen without issues.
This is a view from between my two PS MIni's
And a catchup photo from the 16th.
Everyone popping their little heads up to see if it's ok to stretch.

I have a GIRL!!!! All showed today, both of my big clones and the main plant aka Rae for the Star Trek series are showing pistils. From the top of my tallest clone this picture of three different sets of pistils.
Lots of Bud sites here beginning to really stretch. On the bottom left I have all three HempyCups with the #3 Runt on the outside. Number 1&2 actually are above the net now. Even if they yield a few grams it will be a worthy experiment.
Now with all these wonderful bud sites poking up I have visions of wonderfully large colas dancing in my head.

What was the total time from cutting to pistils? And how tall are the clones? :yummy:
:passitleft::ganjamon:
I made the cloning cuts on Feb 18th, given that we have a shorter month that basically makes it 30days to now. I could have done the flip at least a week possibly even earlier. The video I watched initially that gave me the idea flips them as soon as they look like they have recovered from the shock of cutting. That would have been at least a 2 weeks sooner.

Currently, the tallest plant that showed the most roots at transplant is 12inches tall. The second tallest is a little over 10 inches. The runt is only about 6 inches right now, but chugging along.

@DrDoob I'm seriously considering looking into your idea of growing larger numbers of plants in smaller containers. In looking for 32oz cups I found that 7-11 offers huge cups and even a 128oz buckets. They have a Double Big Gulp which I'm figuring is 64oz. Part of the thought is to do at least 6-8 cups on each half of the tent and rotate the ones on the sides to the middle as the middle are moved towards the sides. Maybe even turn the ones 180 as they are moved outwards. Biggest question is who long does it take for a seedling to push a root down to the reservoir in a 32oz'r???

I started them in 16oz solo cups first then transplanted them to the 32oz cups. They never slowed down at all. Those 1 gal paint buckets I got are just a little deeper then the 32oz cups so transplanting to them was very smooth too.

March 21- Stretch is beginning to show. Watering day, back to a three day cycle but I am using about 3/4 of a gallon. The other quart I reserve and ph balance lower for the Hempy Cups. Only today, Mr. Fuzzy headcold forgot to do that. So the HempyCups got 6.47ph just like Rae the mother plant did. Doubt it will pose much of an issue just once.

Good Day All, March 25th almost 4 months into this current grow. I flipped to 12/12 about a 2 weeks ago and things have been certainly changing. Was very fortunate to be greeted with pistils mostly on my HempyCup Clones this last week on Tuesday. Now they are most everywhere on my big girl Rae. Named after the recent Star Wars lady.
I'm cutting back on the photo taking as the newbie excitement is beginning to chill. I figure taking a picture or two every time I water which is on a 3 day cycle right now will be enough to show more remarkable growth, than every day.
A little closer look at some of her most active stretch and around there are lots of other bud sites coming up from below. I really feel fortunate for the penetration the PS lights I'm using have. On another note, I'm going to break out my Digital SLR camera and perhaps order some Macro extension tubes for short lens and see if I can take some really high def macro shots through the camera.

Joining in. Soil, Scrog, training. Yay.
Thanks Bro, It has been an experience to this point. Being my first ever grow and having always thought I didn't have a green thumb. This has been a long journey with this particular plant. We've had a couple of setbacks along the way, a couple of stumbles also, but it's looking real positive. I'll go on over and check out your grow and Fresh Start.

Oh I struggled too. Par for the course. Course the internet does help. Thanks for taking a peek in my garden.

Watering day at the zoo! Two weeks into the flip and everything is stretching very nicely. Water consumption is still right at a gallon with ~10% runoff. Using a Dyna Gro mix of Pro-Tekt and Bloom at recommended doses with 1/4 tsp of CalMg just for grins and giggles. PH'd at 6.47 which is pretty close to the number I like to be at.

From the top view it's looking very nice and filling in very well.
Underneath, everything is looking very beefy. The Trunk has grown to a point that it's beginning to split the band aid off that was covering the earlier oops.
This is not the very best of pictures, the closeness of the nodes and the filling in of bud sites is very promising.

almost time for the under screen clean. Bend those big colas !
I went with your advice and while attending to needs in the tent today I raised my Scrog a bit and reset some of the longest and then lowered and continued to tuck. Hopefully pictures tomorrow will show a much improved set up.
However these are some pictures from this AM.
This shot is directly down on the three clones in the corner before transplanting the smallest Runt.
