I won't have a true "grow room" here , it will be in a single room of the house ! I'm saying if Im able to plug one or two of those lights STRAIGHT to the wall socket (without burn the house), or I need to modify my main panel and install a new breaker and a whole new circuit ?
I know this is much safer lol, but I just wanna know if with not so many watts, I can avoid all the hassle ... (lazy mf) lol

(I was wondering about all the above, before I decide to get 2 more panels ,now it doesn't really matter anyway)

I think you will be fine bro my house was rewired in the 80's and im running all 4 led's on existing plugs that were in the room already and I dont have any issues:)

Jon, I run 2 4oow hps on 1- 20w breaker, with 12-1 wire, just have light timers start 3-5 mins apart to avoid start up spiike.
The only time It gave any trouble the power went out during on time.When power came back they fired at the same time and tripped the breaker.

Really ? Hell , that was a good info !! Do you think I can do the same with those 4 panels ? Just a mulisocket plugged in the wall and two timers ? (each one for two LEDs)
From the other side , what about all the other equipment ?
Have you installed any other circuit for your grow room , by yourself Jon ? Have you ever count how man watts (amps) u use , in total ?

I had a designated 220v line when I was running hps but now everything is running off of existing wirring bro, I think between the 2 rooms im drawing around well lets see here...flower room-2400w led, 2x1500w dehumidifiers, 1500w a/c, light rails, pumps,fans,400w. Veg room-400w mh, 100w floros,50w fan= 7750 watts give ot take all on existing wirring bro, just make sure theres more than one breaker powering the room, some older houses are wired like that:)

ps: yep i ran the 220v line in from the panel myself its pretty easy once you know the right wire and breaker to use.

Amperage at the breaker and the given outlet will directly dictate the amount of draw that can be used on a given circuit. Find the breaker that room OS on an check its amp rating. Each outlet at 120v is rated for 15 amps. Do not exceed 12 amps per outlet and don't let ur total amp draw for the whole given circuit. Exceed the rating on the fuse in ur panel. (If its thirty stop at 25 and even with small surges u shouldn't trip a breaker or see a fire. Ideally the switch would trip before a fire anyway. Just make sure all ur wires are cool to the touch. It is advantageous to draw from multiple circuits in the house as well. (Kitchen garage etc) spread the load out. But u should be just grand either way that's not TOO much juice

Watts divided by volts=amps (I think lol. Been a while ;))
 
Hey Jon

When is the last time you ran a defrag on your drive? If you download a bunch of junk like me its good to run one every two or three weeks to keep speed where it should be. I use microsoft security essentials for my av, ccleaner for registry and cache cleaning and malware for everything in between.

If it gets real bad find a operating disk and back up everything, then format the drive and start over.

Hehe, I have a 40 amp breaker/circuit for this room , I think it's more than enough with that equipment I'm gonna use !!
Of course I can't take the final decision yet, untill I set everything up !!
If I face a tripping problem , I ll set up a new circuit just for the lights and drive everything else , from the walls outlet....
We ll see ...

Edit: we only have 220 volts here ! Flo n gro and sentinel controller, will be run either from a 2000-3000 transformer, or a dedicated 110 v circuit IF IT IS nessesary to modify my main panel !!!
Controler will drive 220 volts machines, but it will take power from expanders (pxm 2)
It's a little bit complicated ... lol

I don't keep pics on the phone so its easy. If its on the phone its yet to be uploaded. Once uploaded its deleted. A Turbo stick doesn't sound as fun to shoot. Lol

I don't have a computer and I'm in the sticks so the wifi available is sattelite and so slow u may as well not have net so I use my 4g. I'm not worried about my identity. I'm legal and when I made the email account I googled people with warrants and used some wife beaters info so if they do wanna have a talk it'll be with some Lowlife that needs to be in jail anyway lol. I do use a few proxy but I'm not tech savvy by any means. All I know is at first glance I appear to be posting from somewhere in northern Canada but I'm sure a simple round of digging could narrow my place down. Even then I'm legal and anyone with ill intent will likely be discouraged when they see the security precautions we have in place. I'm not too worried about anything but maybe a virus on the phone but I generally stick to forums and don't really click or download anything.

Ill look into the suggestion tho. I need a PC for school anyway. I have a laptop but it is a royal piecer and I always end up so mad by the time I get anywhere.with I I forget what I'm doing lol

2 * 1000W / 120 V = 16.7A

A 20A breaker would work well. You would still want to stagger the starts to avoid tripping it.

You need to make a list of how much power each item uses, lights, pumps, fans, etc.

Go through the whole house, and make yourself a list of which circuit breaker controls every electrical item in the hose. Don't forget items like appliances, lights, etc. Most of the time, ceiling lighting is separate from the outlets on the walls, but not always. You want to make sure to chart out the entire house because, for example, you might find that a previous resident made changes and now the upstairs bathroom heater is sharing the downstairs bedroom circuit, or something like that. You need to know this.

Once you know what is running on each circuit, you can look at the circuits available in the room you want to grow and compare that to the list you made at the beginning.

40A @ 220V is a lot of power. You could run up to 8 1000W lights on that! You would have to stagger the starts of course, but it could do it.

I think that circuit could handle the whole load. Can you get a transformer to plug into the 240 that provides a 120?

So good. Wish I didnt have to get all guerilla with it but I will. My honeyhole is a location that is hard as all hell to get to and have had a few plants make it there to adulthood. No problems at all. just not sure I have the time to do such things this year. we will see.

Will you document these ones a little?
