I am getting my first grow ready. I am building it out of two 30 gallon totes, one placed upside down on top of the other. They will have about 3.7 square feet of grow space, and be roughly 3 feet high. I plan currently have a plan of a Mars Hydro300 on top for light, and 1 24w led grow light mounted on each side (left and right) for supplemental, Mylar wrapped inside. I was planning on growing two plants in 2-3 gallon pots. 2 120mm fans for intake, and 2 200mm fans for exhaust, with carbon filter material in between them to try to kill the smell.
My questioin is will the Mars Hydro300 + 2 24w lights be plenty of light for my space? Or should I pick up another Mars Hydro300 for the top?
Also, where can I find some good information how to know when and how much to water my plants?
