My first grow. California Dream

yeah its efintely burned. The issue is thats its ONLY that plant. the rest are beautiful and green and lush, minus a few lower leaves here and there, but from what i understand thats normal at this stage (yellow slightly).

But its just this one plant which is why its so frustrating. I fed with 1/2 strength flower nutes 3 days ago. Thats definitely what burned that plant, but i dont get why this one is so sensitive. What would you recommend i do? Keep it going eve with the burned leaves? or start flushing and chop early?

I've seen some nasty-looking plant pics taken during the last weeks of flowering that were said to be normal, so you should probably get some feedback here before harvesting early.

exactly. and like i said its only one plant. so im not TOO worried. just a little frustrating that it was going so good, now ONE little rotten egg comes to ruin the party! haha

if its just that one then, my suggestion is to feed it h20 for about a wwek then start slowly on the nutes. If its locked out or is deficient it will show durring this time. And if its the p.h, you will be feeding her PH'D water , so your p.h should be perfect. Plkants that show signs like these have a tendency to be the trouble out the bunch. It happens to me often, but the back up plan is to baby her then work her back into the garden. You have to treat all your plants different since they are sperated, where as in hydro the majority of the time all the plants stay pretty constant and you can adjust you rez if needed.Just baby her if you havent decided to chop and she'll pull through. But hey you see her everyday so only you would know.

Thanks butcher! Yeah thats what i was kind of thinking about. just feeding plain ph water for a while. I got a chance today to pull the plants out and look them all over one by one. On the plant that is burned, im starting to wonder if it is nute burn, because its ONLY crisp on the top 1/4 of the plants leaves. under growth is unaffected. im wondering if it was maybe some weird reflection that caused light/lumen burn??
im not sure, but plain ph water for everyone this next water anyway. But the bud on that plant is the fattest by far! its a monster compared to the other ones...

and oh well greenblood. Im still learning. so it makes for a good journal for all of us.
i might try and snap a couple pics tonight before lights out. if not. ill post some tomorrow. not much has changed from the other day.
im on day 42 of flower though by the way

haha yeah all is well. jsut havnt had any time to take any pics recently. im off all day tomorrow though so i will take a bunch then. Theya re getting close I think.

question though... on the one plant that got nute burned, do you think it would be wise to just go ahead and chop chop to give the other, healthier plants more light and room to swell out, or let keep on

Mes, I'm a newb myself, but at this stage of the grow I'd be ignoring the leaves and just paying attention to the buds... If they look good, consider them healthy. Aren't you within a week or two of harvest now?

yeah im not worried about any of the leaves on the rest of the plants. but the top portion of this one plant are CRISPED. the lights are off right now, but ill get a pic tomorrow. and yeah. im on day 45 right now, so should be soon now.
another 11 days and will be 8 weeks.
as far as flushing and last nnutes go.
i think im going to feed them 2 more full strength light feedings. maybe 2 days apart. and then start my flushing..give them a week for a flush

but some of them still have quite a ways to go. they are all stil pumping out white hairs as well..

You could always start to flush that problem plant now and it should flush out your issue. Your so far along that you might as well grow it out.
Just start flushing and when you think enough is enough then pull her. Or at least thats what I would do. Flush that 1 and do as you stated above with the rest.

Hey Butcher, yeah that is what im planning to do. I bought some clearex, so going to start flushing with that maybe tomorrow on that plant. THe rest are doing great though. Normal yellowing on the lower big fan leaves, but eveyrthing else is tip top. Its getting close now!!! I can hardly wait!
Anyway day 46 of flower. 10 more days until the 8 week mark.
Here are some pics!!!

yeah that looks like a nute burn Or maybe a salt build up. On my last pull I had one that did that and when I checked her roots out she had a salt build up. The drainage holes were clogged on that side, so the salts just built up, but only in that spot. The leafs look like their cupping. Yeah? a good flush is going to put her in her right place. She'll release any stored away nutes. That will definetly benifit you in her progress.

Lookin Fat! I used clearx also for 5 days flushing 12 times in 24 hours worked great..

Didn't get any yellowing tho.....good luck

Youll have your hands curing those ladies.....
:goodjob::Rasta::Rasta:

thanks butcher! naw not cupping too bad. just crisping and crunching and falling off. tons of NEW white hairs though and that thing just keep fatening up. oh well, ill let it keep going.

and ol grower dude. yeah your grow wa awesome the whole way through!! from what i read the yellowing was normal as it uses all f th remaining nitrogen from the leaves during the last stages of flowering?

That true about the yellowing I just didn't experience it last grow....probly had them pumped up to much.....lol
I like to take my plants after all hairs are red and the buds quit swelling and of coarse a good flush....:goodjob::Rasta::Rasta:

Lack of Nitrogen.. Causes yellowing late in flowering yes but it seems one plant is giving you that sign..right? Just ride it out that plant is not the satvia strain right. I mean you are very close to harvest yes? expect for the satvias. Just stick to the coarse and like The Butcher said...Start to exercising your trimming fingers and oil the Scissors. The Fun has just began! ;) :peace:
