dude your bud smelled weird cause you didn't get all the leaf material off the buds - any leaf material ends up smelling like hay once dried and seriously effects taste and smell - learned that the hard way last time - trim as much leaf as possible throughout the harvesting process, and use it for something else, like making tea/butter for cooking.

lol, i know that now. i figured i could just do a rough cut, hang them and cut the rest off later.... WRONG! hahahaha, i'll know next time to cut the leaves off as soon as i cut the plant down.
