My 2017 Outdoor Soil Gurls

I know right...LOL. So what kind of shit is that. Her upward growth slowed down to nothing but that top cola started filling in last week. And she's only about 3 feet tall. Didn't even notice the pistels till last night when I was bending down the side shoots. Hopefully she runs her full term and I'll have one hellofa top cola. We'll see.

So they all will get 1/2 gallon each of nutrients. Got to get to the gurls on the lake and put the tomato vines in and LST them.

Having fun at this point.

Keep'em Green and as always Smok'em if you Got'em....
She's acting like an Auto. Mixed up bean?

Cheers

I don't do autos. Never heard of them growing that tall...unattended. If I had known she was an auto I could/would have started LST much sooner.

I got my beans from BC. Their bag of mixed outdoor variety. I'll reach out to them this weekend to see what they say.

So late good update was a few weeks ago. This is where we stand for now. All the gurls have been moved and pot'd up for the last time. All have tomato vines to tie them to. The tomato vine may turn out to be the best improvement. And tiny still refuses to do much of anything. She still grows but at a disgustingly slow pace. As long as she sprouts green I'll tend to her.

Still bending back limbs. When should I stop?

Last pics were 6-18....

This is where they are at now....

So I have a delema....LOL.

That early bloomer. Should I stop training...? Pulling down her branches?

The pistols are stacking up which tells me that she is in her late stages of flowering?

We were already late in training so I'll have to take what I get. I'm figuring one hell of a main with about 20 plus sites pop'n out.

At best I can give her one more adjustment this weekend and I'll be away for a week so she won't get any more attention till I get back. She's had all the adjustments I can give her.

This is what she looks like now....

I'd let her go and see where it takes you. No worries. What size pots are you in, 10's? Good job with stabilization of plants.

Cheers

Thanks Miller... Let them go as in no more training? That's gonna be fun watchin them buds grow. I can already see them building on her side shoots.

As for the pots.... I really don't know they sell them around here by rim size. The black one's on 20's I believe and the white are 15's but taller. If I had to guess on gallon size I would say about 15-20. They are mixed with local soil which is clay based and they are heavy as hell. It takes 2 to move them. Thank god they are in their final resting position...LOL.

Any thanks for the input....

The 25g Smart pot's here hold 3 cu ft of soil each, 3 bags, 20g hold 2.5 bags. Those should grow monsters, I might get one 45g or 40g to see if it makes much difference. Rule of thumb states one gal of soil per month. As in your tent a 5 gal will be fine up to 5 months, 1 month veg, 4 month flower or 2, and three. I started a bit late so I'll see how it goes.

Cheers

Yea I believe they are about 2.5 bags per the bigger pots and 2 bags for the smaller. That ratio you quoted is about right. The bigger the pot the bigger the root ball the bigger the plant. I was pleased to see white roots at every pot up. My tallest gurl is about 5 feet. I think I'll top them once each one hits 6'. It's just gonna make working around them easier.

Oh, and it's time for their first defol. They all get that next weekend when I get back. Wifey is tending to the garden till I be home.

I'll never cull leafs off plants indoors or out. Bushy plants grow large fruit. Pulling leafs reduce plants energy to grow or flower. If your plant does not need any leafs, they will harvest them for their N, and turn yellow.

Cheers

Just a drive by... I don't do alot of reading.. like I tell everyone, I never leaned it... But sounds like you have a plant flowering? Just my 2 cents, but alot of plants get use to the intense 18/6 veg cycle, then when you put them out, they don't get the same lighting and it triggers flowering. I call them touchy plants. Or indoor plants. I'm trying to grow some of Bothers Grimm's C-99. I did two of them and both flowered. They were photo plants. All I can figure is they are breed under such a tight lighting schedule that even an hour under 16 hours might trigger flowering. I'm not 100% sure of whats what in your grow. Hopefully things will work out for ya.. I need to do alittle read to see where ya are at.

Thanks for the input Miller and North. Yea, I'm use to defol with my indoor gurls. I've been tucking the fans when I can. But going with your input I won't trim.

Still want to top them to keep them manageable.

No worries, got the summer to figure it all out...lol.

Your input is greatly appreciated. Yea, I got an early bloomer. I'll continue to pull her arms down and out. Still not sure how long I should do that but will continue till I get bored...lol...or hear otherwise.

Thanks again for the driveby and input.

Keep em green...

Oh I'll top too. But I like to keep all leafs on my plants, I'll trim down post flower by pulling top yellow fans and opening lower sites.

Cheers

Hiddie Hoo Neighbors....LOL.

Hope everyone's gardens are green. Mine sure are. Feedings and bending out of the way. No more bending for miss early bloomer but we'll get to that in a min. We may also have another about to get into bloom stage. Pistils are stacking up.

Mr. Stilts is about 7' so she got a hair cut up top. And we have one with some pretty big fans so a lot of tucking was done on her. Tiny is still hanging around so like I said as long as she's green and growing I'll tend to her.

All in all the garden is looking great. Had some slug issues that had to be dealt with. Sprayed them all with neem oil. And this dumb ass sprayed late morning. It was cloudy but as soon as I got done with spraying the sun came out. No noticeable burn...yet.

As for our early bloomer....well I believe it's official, she's got trichomes visible to the naked eye....yea...LOL. I was gonna pick a leaf and scope her but what for. She'll get no more training and I'll let her do her thing. All told we have about 20-30 potential bud sites. Looking forward to that main cola....

Pics to follow....

Hi Renegade, nice job on the grow so far. I'm doing my first grow outdoors too this summer, so I'm afraid I don't have a lot of suggestions to offer. My plan to keep practicing and get ready for next spring. Keep'em green buddy. :-)

Drive by,,, girls look great.. And GL with the light. I'm going to play around alittle with a LED as soon as temps start to drop this fall..

Welcome Wildflower...

Pull up a chair any time you like and please feel free to ask out loud. I will always listen to sound advice. That's what we are all here for. For the love of the plant...LOL. Well that and the high....LMAO.

I started indoors with hydro and wanted to go outside because of the size of the plant outdoors. Little brother in southern Cali likes to brag about his tree sized gurls. I've seen the pictures...LOL. Crazy buds the size of my arm. I read a lot and asked a lot of questions... Was that little brother that wouldn't go away to most here but I learned.

Pretty easy though....she's just a weed and will grow anywhere....LOL.

Practice, practice...

Honored for the driveby....

I too do my inside growing during the winter but wanted to get outside now that I'm back up north. Wasn't gonna start this early but they reached out and asked if I review their light. I was one of the lucky ones that got to review the Spider.

Had to get some morning pics of our early bloomer.

Have a great sunday....
