PM sent though I gave you the wrong source in the message. Google weed maps.

Oh yeah that would be a bitch. I'll only move the screen once I chop.

Do a google search of weed maps. That can help find the shops that do. Many places are carrying them all the time, though concerns of pests hitching a ride on a clone are still a concern.

are the leaf pics thrip damage??

I think so along with possible UV damage that is accumulating but I really do not know for sure. Checked the trichomes last night and too many are clear for me to realistically harvest this weekend. Another week should do it. Hopefully, the plants hold out but it appears they should.

i've been keeping up with this but one question, sorry if it was asked and i missed it. if you were scroging, why did you go with a 400watt vs a 250 watt for the small area? isn't the big reason to move on to have more light penetration through canopy? but isn't that not needed in scrog where the whole plant is a canopy? Took your advice to grab 2 inch netting, working great so far.

More light is always better. 400 watts will always put out more lumens than 250.

Why not get more light? The reason a lot of folks opt for smaller lights is because they are cheaper to buy, they are cheaper to run, and they don't produce as much heat.

if you can handle the logistics of ventilation and heat, you are pretty much always best getting the biggest light you can afford. more light, more meds.

Thats why I'm going to 1000 watt HPS. yeah, I have to buy some extra fans, do some extra room prepr make sure I have a good AC, but I'm gonna get more bud/ft^2 without a doubt than I would with a 400 or 600.

Damn Munki, U da man!!! I cant believe how many buds you got out of those 2 girls with da scrog. SWEEEEEET!!! I finally read all 40 pages of this thread tonight. It was awesome to see this from the start. Earlier I saw that you were talking about internodes on your new clones alternating on the main stem. Why do you think that happens and will the trend continue? The reason I ask because I have some clones that did the same thing.

hmmm makes sense. But in a small space say 3 feet by 2 feet (plenty of vertical room though). Would a 400 make a difference at all, this is scroging of course, so canopy penetration is not an issue. i always just thought more lumen output after a certain point was just to penetrate and to be able to spread light over a larger area. but considering the small space would jumping to bigger light produce more?

thanks in advance

Ya man, the more light the fuller, thicker, and just overall better the growth is. I think the point of having excess light is really high, somewhere above using a more than a 1000watt hps for 1 plant. I duno though, maybe grow support could chime in ;)

Selecting a lamp involves many considerations but for ease of explanation, I needed to get a minimum of 50 watts/ square foot but 75 watts/ sq. ft. is a better target. A 250 would only have gotten the minimum light intensity on my 5 sq. ft. canopy. Also, I will do other kinds of grows and a 400 watter isn't too much for a 4 x 4 tent. Finally, I bought this lamp on Craigslist for 75 dollars so I did tailor my grow around the good deals I could find.

It is a sign of the plant's maturity. Plants from seed will have symmetrical internodes. Just look at other's journals and you can see what I mean. It is almost like one side of the plant is the mirror image of the other side. As the plant matures and branches off, it will start to put off a node going one way then another going in another direction. Often times when viewed from above, the leaves will appear to be like steps going down a spiral staircase. As to why I can only guess but it most likely has allowed the plant a survival advantage. Also, the leaf configuration allows the highest chloroplast and stomata exposure levels for the individual leaves when oriented that way and allows for a good amount of room for leaf movement without them bumping into each other and distorting their positions.

hey munk. looking real nice and fat bro. those nugs are really filling out for you.

looks like we're getting to the end now and you deserve what you're about to get. I think the left leaf shows clear signs of some thrip-age. i don't know whats up with the runt on the right. thrips won't easily ruin a harvest, but still be careful not to introduce them to your younglings.

i cant wait to see you try to get those buds out of the screen. lol. i think you might find out the hard way why people like 2". but it will all be worth it in the end no matter.

looking smooth player.

thanks to you guys, guess more is better then, as long as heat stays down lol.

Check this out cobraohm. These guys collected data from over 100 grows and ascertained what factors had the greatest impact on yield.

I knew it would be a problem and yes it will be a pain, but what a great problem to have!
