South Africa’s growing scene seems to be picking ups it’s game feeling like a kid in a candy store.. I’ve recently made a new contact for clones and man have they got an awesome propagation setup!
I’ve got this list to choose from but don’t have much space right now, so in 2 weeks I’ll be picking some up. Time to make a list

I’m not too sure yet Dynamo, I wish the list he gave me was smaller for starters I’ll be taking some of the Barney’s strains, the Gelato varieties from DNA and also there’s like 5 cheeses on there so maybe i’ll do an irie cheese platter journal...

What did you think of Acapulco Gold? I grew it also.

Hey mate, it’s my first grow so can’t really make too many judgements on her I guess.
Seemed like a fairly sturdy plant but has been sensitive to nutes.
Nice and frosty though and can’t wait to smoke her up!

I think youll like it. Tight buds with a very interesting smell and taste... almost like licorice, but not really. Enjoy

It has unknown lineage except for it Hundu kush mom. Same as my moneyMaker and you remember that. From the early 90s and one of the first hybrids. Its killer man
Have you ever grown Northern Lights?
Its history is staggering. Almost 3k reviews.
Almost as old as me, propagated on the site which is now known as sensei seeds, Almost all the indica strains always hail from it if you go way back, Always good to grow an old strain like that to learn a lot. I grew it almost 15 years ago and we loved it. Can switch it to bloom like 2 weeks in due to the stretch.
Take on some ols and new like me man. Good luck and let me know what you choose

Saw you were looking into getting a press so I figured I'd show you my set up. It's a modified 12 ton with 3x5 plates. Took a little dialing in but she pumps it out! I'm by no means an expert but I can help you avoid a few pitfalls.

You're running your lights overnight yeah?
Cause you have similar conditions to me and our daytime temps indoors are perfect for my ladies during their dark photoperiod. I run them daytime in summer though. Night time temps are perfect then.

2 tips on cloning, fresh aloe sap as cloning gel works well, but the newest I learnt and you'll laugh is aloe sap and cinnamon and custard powder works amazingly....haha
Roots in 7-10 days been chatting to a grower in Jozi who recommended it and I was also nervous bout trying it but try i did yesterday got 14 clones going so will let you know how it went....

Cool ... I've read about aloe and cinnamon ... but I'll have to look up the benefits of custard powder tonight ... hmmm ... maybe the sugars in it?

Hey guys, i picked them up at my local horticulture shop but they can be found all over online, try searching for 'Plastic plant bends' or something similar and you should find it with ease. They are quite cheap. For my SA boets: Plant Bends - Online Hydroponics Shop .

Hey @irie lion ... just reading through your grow and I came across the plant bends.

Do you apply them for a week ... then reuse them again after the stem has firmed up?

Are you going to keep using them? ... or were they just a cool little toy for a bit?

Hey @irie lion ... I'm going to have to raise my estimate on your harvest from 555 grams to 420 grams + 420 grams = 840 grams now that I've seen your latest updates!

BTW, how do you like to harvest? Branch by branch when the trichomes are cloudy or amber? I still need to do some reading/learning on harvesting/curing still.
