Have you tried submersing the cake underwater for 12 hours?

I didn't, actually. I sprayed it once, and it turned all blue and scared the crap outta me lol
 
I checked my JMF this morning it is done it has green fungi growing.
Now I wake for the APE and Red Boy to colonizes.

I can't complain, I got two very fill mason jars of JMF goodies.

Got the grain into substrate! I didn't put all of it in because some of it didn't look too good. I only put in what looked good, best I could. One of the jars of number two gave me a couple little morsels. I feel blessed. The PE number 6 AKA jar number one is still not fully colonized. Agar plate of that same is looking good though. Now we wait.

Edit: I almost forgot to mention I used one and a half turkey roasting disposable aluminum pans worth of coco coir (loose) and one tablespoon of gypsum per tub, with the goal of two jars per tub but only about one and a half jars per tub in the end

Got some super growth going on at number 2 with what seems to be millions of pins. Number three is still coming along nicely.

Looks like their ready to pop any minute, @Ascended Master Kief. I can now see a little growth in my shoeboxes (planted 5/17) so I'm a couple weeks behind you. 🍄 :party: 🍄
 
So sorry I ain't been on in such a long time. Top number two is in fruiting stage now! Tub number three however the mycelium looks splotchy, there's no fruiting growth, and it's sort of infested with flies.

Eeeuw....can you tell if they are Phorid flies, or Scarids?
I would toss that far far away from indoors. Maybe hang a sticky trap where your tubs are too?

I'm not sure what kind of flies they are, but they are small and black and when I squish them they leave a black smear on the wall.

That growth surprised me this morning they were really tiny yesterday.

Agreed. So, got rid of that bad stuff and holy cow I got a big toad sitting in my plant. I really got to work on my ADHD. Other tub is still going well, no flies.
 
Okay I got some news! Yesterday I made a harvest because I noticed some of the Caps were opening. There are still lots of little ones growing. I only grabbed the big ones. I've had them on my dehydrator since for about 24 hours now. Soon as I make some coffee I'll get some pictures of them as they are this morning. I think I picked 125° f for them.

Those are some really thick stalks! I know how big those trays are, I have the same. 💞
