MrBubbles Perpetual Grow

i believe you can start your cannabis plants on 1/4 strength nutrients now and slowly increase to full strength recommended dosage.

Thanks John!

Unfortunately my temps are still an issue even with stronger exhaust. Now the issue is the air under the staircase is getting to warm so the air coming in through my flaps is too warm. It stays cool for about 3 hours before it starts getting too warm. I don't want to hook my exhaust duct directly to the vent I have made because it will be too loud. Right now I'm just using a small clip fan to pull the air from underneath the stairs.

I'm thinking ill switch out my 4intake fan with a 6in intake fan. I just have to buy a downsizer first. If that doesnt work ill either have to hook up a better fan to exhaust the air under the stairs, hook my ducting directly to the vent, or just keep running it at 450. I'm also wondering if a speed controller would help. Essentially my clip fan isn't keeping up with the new exhaust fan so if I turn down the speed on my exhaust fan it will give the clip fan more time to exhaust the air. So in the meantime I'm running my light at 450watts.

Ill update some new pics in a bit. They are looking amazing and smelling awesome! Thinking the berry Ryder will be my favorite but who knows lol.

Update Day 24:

They are really taking off now! Almost all the plants are showing sex now. 1 more week and ill be flipping to HPS. Still haven't gotten any string yet. Hoping to today so I can start LST'ng before they get too big.

My bagseed plants aren't soon great. I'm sure that's just because they need to be transplanted badly. Still waiting for my friend to take them. I'm sure they'll recover nicely once they're transplanted though.

Hopefully my sns will be here soon and then I can put an end to these damn gnats.

I'm taking my nutes very slowly. I've seen some very small/minor brown spots on a few leaves. Thinking it might be a slight nute burn. Ill post a few pics of the spots to get your guys opinion.

I've also tucked a few leaves to give the branches more light.

This should prove to be a very interesting week. Thanks for following everyone!

Here's a few pics of some of the brown spots I've noticed. Im thinking nute burn but if anyone thinks its something different please let me know. Also catch one of the gnats in the pic by accident. Guess someone can at least confirm this is a fungus gnat now? Lol Ill post a group pic later.

I finally got some string so I will be posting some pics later tonight of my first attempt at LST.

I also created a gnat trap per OG'a advice. My daughter had a leftover Hawaii punch bottle so I figured I'd give it a try. I left a little juice in it still, added vinegar, and dawn dish soap. I also put Saran Wrap over the top and poked holes it it. We'll see how it works tonight.

This epsom salt I got wasnt plant specific but I'm assuming its fine seems how it's 100% magnesium sulfate.

30 more minutes for the lights to turn on. I literally wait outside the tent every night just waiting for them to turn on lol :D

Man what a cool set up you got going! Plus your plants are looking great! :goodjob:

I love what you did with the icecream bucket, but I am not sure if it is bad for the fan or not. My plants were also pretty skunky when they were vegging, but once you get that carbon filter you will be set. I am at 21 days flower with my girls and I have 100% odor reduction with my filter, unless I open the tent then it stinks to high hell!

My fan also sucks the walls of my tent in. That is good for negative pressure and if you put your filter inside your tent and have the fan pull the air through the filter and exhaust out into the room you will be golden. Just make sure that you have some passive vents in your tent to allow some fresh air coming in, preferably near the bottom of the tent.

Keep up the good work! I'm interested to see how that gnat trap works out!

Just got done feeding them and LST'ng them. LST was super easy. I had some tacs laying around which worked really well vs screws. This is my first time LST so I'm a little worried how they will react. I watered/fed them right after hoping it would hell them recover better. I did decide to also add 1/2tsp big bloom in addition to my molasses/epsom salts.

Thanks for stopping by. I cant believe how healthy they are.

I hear what you mean about the ice cream bucket being bad for the fan. It does work great at silencing it though. It doesn't seem to hurt it any but definitely planning on getting a speed controller and putting a carbon filter in the tent. I do have passive vents built into my tent.

They are smelling soooo good already! I can't wait to see what they smell like once they start flowering.

how many Epsom salts per gallon are you adding? the spots on your leaves may be over spray from watering. that does look like a fungus gnat.

I used 1/2tsp per gallon of epsom salt. I read you should use 1tsp but I wanted to be cautious. I thought the same about the spots. I dont think that's it though because whenever I water I spray the plants down with straight water to make sure there's no nutes on the leaves. I've heard you can get burns on the leaves from the light and spraying them but I think that's only when you foiliar feed. Not quite sure though. Ill be keeping a close eye on it and posting more pics if I see it spread. Thanks for the advice!

any time your leaves are wet and exposed to light they can get a burn from the light being amplified.

That makes perfect sense. I'm not sure if its the case here though. Most of the spots seem to be from the outside of the leaves and in random areas. Do you think it's a magnesium/calcium def? Here's some pics...

I did find this thread which is awesome for anything from pests to nutrient deficiencies. Based on what I read it does appear that I either have a cal/mag def or my ph is off. My mix of water/nutes was around 7 but I'm not sure of my soil. I hope to get a soil ph meter in the future but I've heard the cheap ones aren't worth the money so all I have for now is my drops/vial. I'm never able to measure run off because they're only taking 2cups of water every 3 days. Cannabis Plant and Pest Problem Solver - Pictorial

you want pH 5.8 for hydroponic and soiless (peat moss and coco coir) and pH 6.5 for soil. i do not see any nutrient burn or leaf deficiency on your leaves, there would be more damage all over the leaves.

My only way of measuring my ph right now is using the drops. My best guess is my feeding/water is right between 6.5 - 7. I'm not able to test runoff because I don't have any. I know it's hard to say without measuring but generally what's the ph of most store bought soils? I'm using miracle grow organic choice garden soil plus perlite.

Yes, you have no worries Bubbles. When water sits, it rarely leaves the leaf unscathed as it has a pH and impurities of it's own. I've completely crippled my plants using hard-water but they recovered no bother. Other than that, looking healthy as! :Namaste:

Thanks for the advice Barney! So are you saying you think the spots are leaf burn as well?

Yah, I think a little concentrated build-up, probably from a few specs of water or possibly like KJC said, magnification. Either way, nothing much to dwell on :)

Hope your right. I'm a little OCD so whenever there's a problem no matter how small I have to find the solution lol.
